Actually is the dragon 18 HD?

It's like 25 HD or something ludicrous. Dragons suck.

Tialla's frightened, but as far as I can tell, she's stuck that way until either the frightful presence and/or the Dazzling Display wear off, and thus, she's gotta keep running.

Can I do anything before 7 rounds are up?

Woops, I forgot to actually post the "I spend 7 rounds running away" post. My bad.

Tialla flees the cavern, flickering into invisibility as she goes.

Tialla just fell 35 ft to the ground, didn't she? Doesn't that put her outside the range of Dazzling Display?

Maybe I missed it, but did we get an action for Tialla? Is she attacking?

Sorry. I'm just about to watch my cloak get shredded, and I'm not happy about it. (sigh)

Tialla flickers into existence right behind the dragon, wielding her shortsword with terrible effectiveness.

Move action: put away wand.
Free action: draw off-hand weapon.
5 ft step to get next to dragon.
Standard action: Crippling bleeding sneak attack - invisible bonus cancels shaken penalty (1d20+31=49, damage 1d4+13=16, sneak attack 9d6=30)
Assuming that hits, dragon also loses 9 hp every turn on its action until it is healed and takes 2 points of Strength damage.

I would say after the first attack you're visible, but it's not clear.

That would be my assumption as well, but it's also not clear to me. Since there's time to take a 5 ft step between attacks, though, there's also time for the victim to realize something is going on, I would think.

They still work for flankers (hint hint).

Another question - when do I stop getting the bonuses from being invisible when I attack? After my first attack, or could I actually unload an entire full sneak sequence with a 5 ft step?

Grumble Grog wrote:

If the dragon is low to the ground, Grumble will move close and attempt to leap up and attack it.

Acrobatics: 1d20+23=24 wooo a 1...well 6 ft vertical leap, 10 foot reach.

That's a good question, actually - what is the dragon's elevation at the moment?

Right. New action then.

Watching the dragon flash past, Tialla frowns invisibly in frustration. She immediately leaps into the air in pursuit.

Moving to 2 squares south of the dragon and 2 squares west of the gray columns just to her right.

From out of the fog, a voice drifts, "This is getting annoying." Bart feels a hand grab his again, and then the world shifts around him.

Tialla uses the wand to dimension door 95 ft directly northwest, taking Bart with her again.

EDIT:
GM:

Spoiler:
Unless that dragon has some sorcerer levels, I'm pretty sure the quicken SLA is an illegal build. A very old white dragon has a CL of 9th for its SLAs, and you have to have a CL of 18th in order to quicken a SLA that duplicates a 5th level spell.

Can we get coordinates on that fog?

Black-Eyed Bartimus wrote:
Sorry, T, I was home sick and nursing a sick two year old yesterday. Bad combination. Can you take Bartimus along with you?

No problem. Action pretty much as stated then, except that I'm not hovering because I don't want to drop Bart when we get there.

Since no one seems interested...

Still invisible, Tialla waves her wand, willing it to function in the way she has long since mastered. In moments, she is elsewhere, her wings flapping slowly and quietly as she hovers in the air, looking to catch up on the situation.

Use wand to dimension door to 32,12. (I autosucceed on the Use Magic Device check to activate the wand.) Tialla will hover, again autosucceeding on the necessary Fly check, while she takes in the situation.

The monk's stunning fist and quivering palm are absolutely useless at this level. Jarl's base fort save is +25, and so is the fort save (10+ half level + wis bonus). Unless the monk has a monstrous wisdom, these two abilities are will have no effect in high-level play.

You're supposed to be stunning wizards, I think.

I'm about to 'port toward Sleepy - anyone want to come along? I can take two Medium or one Large ally.

No enlarging for me, thanks.

When she lands, Tialla whispers, "Directly across the room from us, and spellcasting, unless I miss my guess. Also, invisible. Anyone got a fix for that?"

Tialla flips around, flying back as quietly as she came.

Stealth (with invisibility) bonus (1d20+69=71)

"I...oh...bother, I wish they hadn't run off like that..." "In opposite directions as well..." "We should have stayed here to prepare more for the battle."

For what it's worth, Tialla's going to sweep the area and then fly back, unless things go really wrong...

Tialla lifts into the air, flying away on invisible and silent wings.

Fast stealth to 42,37; looking - and listening - for the Bad Guys...
Stealth with invisibility bonus (1d20+69=78)
Perception (1d20+25=41, 43 for hearing)

actually, do we know where the bad guys are yet?

Prebuff: invisibility via her ring.
Initiative (1d20+12=24)
Holding: sword of subtlety in right hand, wand of dimension door in left.

Tialla is back. Gods above 18th level is a pain to build.

Without some means of flight, Tialla's pretty much useless now. I don't think her little 1d3+1 sling is going to make much of a difference to the manticore. Anyone got any suggestions?

Dammit, I need a flanker! :P

"Hey there, kitty! Go pick on someone your own size!"

Free action, drop sling; free action (Quick Draw), draw shortswords; full attack on the lion.

Full attack (1d20+13=27, damage 1d4+3=5; 1d20+8=9, damage 1d4+3=4; 1d20+13=15, damage 1d4+2=3; 1d20+8=12, damage 1d4+2=6)
Looks like 8 damage total.

That's what I'm talking about, shouldn't they both be polymorph? Or is Wild Shape a different beast entirely?

Your stats change according to the spell effect (which wild shape duplicates) but not in any other way - you get no other stat boosts or penalties for size changes. You do still get the attack/AC/Stealth penalties for getting bigger, of course, or bonuses for being smaller, but that's it.

PFRPG doesn't require you to declare a Dodge target, just to declare that you are dodging.

Tialla readies an action to hit the incoming flyer with a sling bullet when it gets within 30 ft.

Sling attack (1d20+14=16, damage 1d3+1=2, sneak attack 5d6=12)
Glad I got those out of the way now, I guess.

Tialla, it will be able to see you as it soars in, I don't think sneak attack would be appropriate. I'll assume you're hiding and moving left away from the lions on the right.

I was more thinking about whether it would still be flat-footed, since it lost init, but I was pretty sure it wouldn't be. Guess I should have taken the talent that makes everyone flat-footed during surprise rounds after all...

Tialla dives left into a clutch of foliage, readying her sling as she goes.

Stealth (1d20+22=38)

"Incoming," Tialla mutters to herself as the soaring shape moves in.

Quick Draw the sling, ready an action to attack the flying shape when it gets within 30 feet, if doing so will allow her a sneak attack. Otherwise she wants to dive into the bushes for Stealth purposes.

Sorry I'm a bit late...

Initiative (1d20+10=27)

Tialla would likely be on point, I would think...

Perception (1d20+11=27, 1d20+11=14, 1d20+11=21) (In case it matters for surprise rounds and the like.)
