Ahh, that sucks.
I am a federal employee. I had the official word to return to work at 6am this morning.
The Gretch tried. This place interferes with The Gretch's magic.
Furlough should be over. They are sending a bill to the president.
I'm expecting a phone call in the morning telling me to come back to work.
The Gretch is ready to test the next door.
Yay. The Gretch will most certainly memorize light,
I'm hoping for a room on the other side of one of the doors. I suggested the wooden door as it would be faster to open, giving whatever is on the other side less time to prepare.
I'm not opposed to open the metal door though.
The Gretch thinks we should open the wooden door.
Terquem wrote: Thank you! Now, did everyone get leveled up? Yes, but it won't mean much until The Gretch gets to rest 8P

Open the portcullis and we can check out the other side.

Shifting rapidly from foot to foot, The Gretch attempt to strike the elemental with another Ray of Frost
Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 8 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 8 = 10
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
It is an elemental
The Gretch was not snoring
Understandable. I dislike typing on my tablet.
Link
The PRD matches, but does not link directly to the subtype.
It's your call though. I can go ahead and roll another d3 for damage 8P
Elementals are one of the few creature types that did keep their immunity to criticals, sneak attacks and flanking. It is something The Gretch plans on abusing in a few more levels.
The Gretch sees it, it is over there., The Gretch says as a pale blue beam of light lances from his hand towards the approaching foe.
Ray of Frost
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Sadly, elementals are not affected by critical hits.
Knowledge: Planes: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
The greensting scorpion grants a +4 initiative bonus & alertness. The Gretch would be +13 initiative if he took Improved Initiative.
Seeing something approaching, The Gretch leaps to his feet with a sudden hiss.
Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Perception: 1d20 + 11 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 11 - 5 = 24
That was not snoring, That was The Gretch
Given the frequency of rolls, I'm not sure its even possible to rest for more than 20-30 minutes without triggering an encounter.
The Gretch is ready for a rest. The Gretch would like to chance to refresh The Gretch's spells
The Gretch is tired of carrying this torch
Periodic Check: 1d20 ⇒ 3
The Gretch would not mind resting. The Gretch would like to memorize Light so The Gretch can stop carrying this torch.

The Gretch detests menial labor.
Watching Marrienys inspect the doors for traps, The Gretch quietly shifts his vision into the arcane.
Detect Magic
The Gretch agrees. One does not bar doors unless there is something of interest on the other side.
Unless one wants others to think there is something of interest on the other side.
The Gretch spends a great deal of time talking to himself. And answering. In several voices.
I could insert a running commentary 8P
The Gretch does not appear to be in need of healing.
Your sequence looks good
The Gretch will go back on delay having very little else he can do.
I appreciate the map. It is almost impossible for me to target AoE spells properly without one.
Observing the skeletons movements, The Gretch moves forward while chanting a spell in a strange chittering language. As he finishes casting, he tosses a blob of oily black slime, coating the ground beneath the skeletons with the viscous substance.
Move to H11. Cast Grease, covering H7 -> I8. DC17 reflex saves for the three skeletons in the affected area.
The Gretch is going to delay. He does not have a lot to use on skeletons.
From his position behind the party, The Gretch observed the kobold skeletons, anticipating their inevitable attack.

I have been carrying a touch.
The Gretch is happy with his current position.
I am heading out of town for a week. Not sure how often I'll be able to post.
Quote: We need to go to the Discussion thread and roll a d20 to establish the CR, another d20 to determine which table we will use (there are five) and the a d100 to find out what kind of monster it is. Then we need a d6 +4 (x10) to determine how far away the monster is CR: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Table: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Monster: 1d100 ⇒ 89
Distance: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 *10 = 80
The Gretch says we go down the open door. Too much noise to pull the spikes out of the other door and hammer them into this one.
The Gretch agrees, The Gretch mutters under his breath as he inspects the staircase for unwelcome surprises.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
The Gretch finds the stairs safe enough. The Gretch will be back. Now, about those other doors.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Cautious as always, The Gretch remains safely out of sight, around the corner.
The Gretch cannot fix it today, but perhaps he can fix it another day.
