Yeah. Between the Ninja, Vivisectionist Alchemist, Urban Ranger, Archaeologist Bard, Slayer, and Investigator, the Rogue is mostly obsolete outside of a couple niche builds.

To reiterate one of my previous posts, I'm willing to run a custom campaign for anyone who's interested. I've done this a few times for as few as a single PC and base the game around the player's interests. For example, I used to run a solo campaign for my wife. She played a scholarly Sage Sorcerer who was trying to solve some of Golarion's great unsolved mysteries.

I was part of a short-lived campaign that had a similar idea. High point-buy, Tieflings only, randomly-assigned traits from the "variant heritage" table in "Blood of Fiends". Didn't last too long, but it was fun while it lasted.

IMO, all 18s is kind of boring and uniform. Maybe go with a high point-buy, Gestalt/Free Archetypes, or a Mythic Tier or two instead.

I agree with starting above level one. Most games start at first level and end fairly quickly, so mid-high level gameplay is rare.

How about we clear the "brown mold" room while waiting for the others to finish leveling. I should be able to kite it with ray of frost and take it down with little effort. Does that encounter need to be played out, or can we handwave it?

The only thing missing from the loot list is the fact that I have that 500gp Duergar coin. If I remember right, I'd done the appraising and told the party it was worthless. ;-)

Leveling won't take me too long: really just need to pick some spells. Also, I can handle the ray of frost need if we go back to the mold room. Just let me know.

RAW, whenever I animate, I need a single onyx gem of appropriate value (e.g. a 4hd creature requires one gem worth 100gp, not four 25gp gems). It's another way to keep miniomancers from easily assembling a massive undead army. Of course, if you're not worried about that, a simple houserule is to ignore the "single onyx gem" requirement and only focus on the total gp value. I'm fine with either ruling. :-)
