Hexa changes his weapons depending on where they go, axe and claw for tight places, bow in open spaces. But stays close to the small scaleless to protect him. "Follow Warchief Ahto." He nods to Ahto and guards Kavken like he would any in the group, if something appeared to harm him the lizardmen brave would block its path...

When no trouble appears Hexa returns and crouches where the man had turned into nothing at. Looking at the ground suspiciously before flaring his nostrils in an exhale. He keeps his companions close to Kavkan, unsure if nothing else would come for the small scaleless man as Hexa towers over him nearby.

With the Guardians fall Hexa calls his companions back to protecting the small human how had the visions. Though he nearly choked as the pale rose from the ancient ruins. The murky water becoming clear caught his eye and he blinked, such a strange thing had happened. "We have drink now. Good."

Helping Ahto up as well he uses his strength to strengthen the Warchief again. His hand glowing as he helped Ahto to his feet. Hexa's scales paling as more of Mazludeh's strength left him. At Ahto's praise he shakes his head. "Hexa was slow. Will move quicker next time, but will check to see if this place is safe now. Excuse me Warchief." He notching an arrow to his string and goes to search around the changed ruins. Ensuring nothing else lurked unseen.

With the Warchief's fall Hexa moves forward to assist. Keeping his bow but growing more lean and lithe as hair sprouted from his back. As he reached the fallen Ahto he kneeled outside the bears reach as Tal and the others kept it distracted. His glowing hand touched the fallen Ahto's head. Infusing him with Teuni's might and strength to which Hexa felt his own vitality grow lesser in doing so. His scales becoming a dimmer slate gray.

As Hexa works on Ahto Tal presses her attack with a heavy loud cry, feeding off Hexa's growing strength and transforming alongside her master. Hair sprouting along her back and tail as she whipped her tail at the bear in an attempt to fight it off. Her scales shine brilliantly in the dim light of the temple as she doesn't seem to be ready to back down...

With Tal and Chacta protecting Kavken Hexa holds his position just outside the domain of the beast and waits for the signal to advance from the others.

As he had offered he is armed with his bow and an animal killing arrow in hand. To him this wasn't a hunt, it was an extermination of something unnatural...

Hexa will cast Gravity bow once given the go-ahead to advance.

Hexa bears the windstorm, sitting with bow covered and ready and his back against Tal and Chacta for added warmth. He sleeps little for fear of the cursed thing coming for them in the night...

In the morning he performs his morning prayers to Mazludeh before joining the others. At Kavkens telling of his dreams he rests a hand on the smaller man's shoulder. His grey scales glistening wetly in the dim light of day... "This is no bear, something wrong with it. Cursed. Hexa hunt deathclaws before, they are not like what we see now." He clicks and has Tal and Chacta spot up on Kavken to protect the smaller man.

Hexa removes his hand and checks his bow, pulling out one of his animal killing arrows and inspecting its fletching as he nods to Wonky's planning talk. He adds himself to it. "Hexa will take front. Leave Tal and Chacta to protect Kavken. If Bear comes, shoot with magic arrow. Draw out so others can strike." His tail thumps the ground hard in emphasis of his words.

Hexa, remembering the odd mans spirit walk, keeps his bow ready now that they were in the place they had sought. The ancient ruins made his frills stand on end, he didn't hide his excitement, dread and harden resolve to see them explored. "Hexa first, follow far behind and be ready. If spirit protects this place. Hexa may not be able to kill it."

He directs Tal and Chacta to protect Kavken. He casts magic to make his bow hit harder then before, intending to bring whatever they encountered down hard.

Sorry guys, life continues to be hectic.

Life stuff:
My wife and I are in a major slump. I don't know if she even knows what she wants or if we are over. So I've been trying to reconnect with her but being at work/away from home has proven somewhat futile. She suffers from PPD, PPA, Depression and Anxiety. All of which are taking their toll on us both.

With three kids it really sucks to think she is giving up. I have no idea how to reach her, she continues to avoid conversations and cant even muster up a simple good night or im heading to bed ttyl or love you even in text. Its... Heartbreaking.

Only after the others had entered the Village is when Hexa has Tal enter behind him and he slowly backs up. Passing through the gates with his how at the ready, only once they were closed does he relax.

Hexa shares the Elk's meat with Oleg's Village, handing over the meat to the village and watches the storms progress. He brings Tal and Chacta into the stables or some place they can stay dry, hopefully. He stays close to them to ensure they don't get scared.

When the body is found outside the gate he moves past Ahto and takes up a protective stance, watching for as far as he can see. He brings Tal with him and the pair form a protective wall for Ahto to work, if they were to be attack they would be the first to be hit.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Unless he was needed to assist Ahto he keeps an arrow strung to bow string...

Heal Assist - If needed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Sounds Good! :), Hexa will aim to make a primitive MW Leather Lamellar and using Tuskgutters head skin as a hood with eye holes. Basically armor and hood (In fluff) for resisting rain.

[ooc]Leather Lamellar 60 gp, crafting makes that 1/3rd cost so 20 gp or 200 SP.
Masterwork Components are 150 gp but by 1/3rd rule cost is 50gp instead 0r 500 SP.

Leather Lamellar - Craft DC 14 - 200 SP
Masterwork Components - DC. 20 - 500 SP
Total SP - 700 SP

Hexa take 10 on Craft Armor = 15 * 14 = 210 SP / 7 = 30 SP per day of work.

Time to craft 23.333 (24) days on Take 10 Rolls

Costing only 10 GP is a great start. Hexa is a minimalist, he wants to leave no mark on the Village in a way where he is a liability or dead weight.

DM - Game Post:

Having Tal and Chacta made it easier to gather food, the elk was a grand boon. He gives an utterance to Mazludeh before working swiftly to prep the Elk to be carried back to the Village. Splitting the weight with Tal and trying to keep the skin intact as they progressed slowly back to the village. Avoiding the worst of the issues as best they could, he aimed to take the shortest route out of the woods and hazard a longer trek back to the village to avoid mudslides and tree falls.

It was a good day, a full day though the village was large. He was sure Svetlana could make the meat and vegetables last.

The Survival up above was for hunting and foraging for The Trading Post the below are ones I commonly forget about.

Survival=Predict the Weather, how long the storm may last?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Hexa moves as swiftly as he can, aiming to bring down some large game with his new bow and gathering up edible plants before returning to the Village.

If the storm proves to great he finds a safe place and hunkers down in a low spot with his companions until the winds abate enough to return to the fort.

About Crafting:

Daily or weekly works, I can do the calculations for you and keep track in a spreadsheet on google docs. That way we can theoretically leave whenever we need to for missions.

Once Kingdom Building starts we can drop into weekly. But Up to you. I can take the Cumbersome stuff on because I love excel sheets/formula building. :3

Then Hexa will aim for Leather Lamellar then. Which would make the cost 70 GP even for Lamellar Materials (unless the Tuskgutter Hide counts for the 20 gp) and Masterwork materials which accounts for the other 50 GP.

Also I don't know if you saw it but Hexa will try and sell his bow to the merchant, to offset the costs he is incurring. He is still unsure of the 'Credit' despite Wonky's explanation and still acts in trading things for things personally to lower his burden on the Village.

So he paid 8 gp of his own money, which left him with 7 gp left. Trading in his bow to offest the remaining 70 gp in costs for materials.

Hexa happened to be outside when the wind started to whip, he looked to the black clouds and spoke to himself. Speaking a statement in draconic an old hunter had told him when the screaming winds came. "Winds come. Braves go. To Run. To Hunt. Find Meat. Feed the Village. Feed the Shell. Run Brave. Run." He repeats it, over and over as though it would speed up his feet as he strapped on his armor and pulled on a bedroll like a cloak against the hammering winds.

As Oleg is preparing to ensure everything is secure Hexa is making to leave for a hunt. His new bow on his back and his tools and hides safely tucked away in the stables. He takes Tal and Chacta with him, more backs to carry the meat and edible plants with. He doesn't ask anyone else to go with him except his two animal companions.

DM:
Craft is normally a weekly thing, are we doing it daily or sticking with weekly?

Also if I am reading it right, I craft the Standard component first. Then the Masterwork? Then its complete. So initial DC13 for Studded Leather armor. then DC 20 for the Msterwork component right. Also Hexa is aiming for Masterwork Studded leather armor.

So my initial roll of DC 13 * 17 craft check = 221 SP for the first week of work. Or its 31 SP per day if we go with daily 13 * 17 Divided by 7 for daily.

Now are our options only limited to Leather, Studded Leather or Hide? Or is a more Primitive version of Lamellar and such available as crafting options?

I ask this because i've been trying to roleplay him as being observant, looking at his companions armor along with thsoe that enter the village. He is a visual and physical learner. But if making a more advance type of armor he is unfamiliar with requires a larger DC then please let me know. Thanks!

Hexa accepts Wonky's offer, though at times he leaves the stables and inspects the work in the light. He doesn't hide his discomfort in cramped places. If asked he explains it simply. "Wanderer's never finding peace within walls."

He continues to make Tuskgutters hide into something one would wear with pride. keeping the head as a sort of hood. Though for something none lizardfolk it would obscure their face. Tuskgutters eyes were round out, to be reinforced later with metal for one to be able to see but obscure their face some.

Stealth and durability were key to this creation. One he would make to the best of his hatchling crafting ability.

Sense Motive - Change in price?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Pulling out 8 gold coins he hands them to the merchant shaking his head at the change in coinage. "Hexa pay 8 gold, Hexa needs... Items to make better armor. Materials to tan and work leather into stronger shapes. Metal to back and toughen. Also, Hexa will sell his weapon..." He unshoulders his bow and offers in trade as he looked into the merchants best materials, he wouldn't let Tuskgutters skin be something shabby. He had knowledge now, beyond that of the swamp, his ability to see into creatures being's was an immense and immeasurable resource he must use.

Basically Hexa is looking to Make Tuskgutters skin into masterwork armor, if possible into Masterwork Studded Leather. Which is usually 58 gp, 3 sp and 3 cp. If I did the math right.

When he secures his additional items he reaches out a scaled hand in agreement. When he shakes the merchant's hand he takes in the knowledge of humans, their weaknesses, and strengths. Thus becoming more enlightened in the process.

He mentions the remaining purchase to Oleg, aside from the tools he bought he needed the extra materials as well. For now he would test his skills on what hides he could get on his own while working on making Tuskgutters hide stronger and suitable for wearing.

Hexa looks from Wonky to the Merchant before inhaling deeply and exhaling in a rumbling growal. A mix of a growl and grunt of frustration. He'd hunt for his own hides, but making tools were outside his skill for now. He needed tools to understand how to make new tools. "Hexa only take tools. Will remember prices."

He didn't want to take more than needed from the Credit but tools would be the start of making armor for the village. To make an income, to being of use instead of a Wanderer.

Whether his stance was misinterpreted by the merchant was of little concern to Hexa. He wanted tools, would buy them and forget about cured leathers for now and collect his own.

Hexa looks into these merchants at the Village, following Wonky as she inquires about things and uses the credit that Chief Oleg had gave them for the work they had done. Seeing the various tools he looks to the merchant Wonky had finished up with and asked like Wonky had been teaching him. "Do you sell Tools, for working hide or leather..." Another word he was understanding more of, something almost superior to his wooden armor. "... Hexa would like to buy them. Also would like to buy more leather for crafting things."

With tools he could clean up Tuskgutters hide and turn it into something useful.

Hexa nods to Vekkel and hands over Tuskgutters hide and skull. "Warparty presents to Vekkel. Tuskgutter is no more but fought ferociously before its fall.." He takes up the well-made longbow and the magical arrows. These were things they hadn't seen before. He nods to Vekkel. "We will hunt well with these. Hexa will help Vekkel again when he needs it."

At the word Ruin, a new word he had learned from Wonky, Hexa perks up. "Hexa wants to find Ruins."

After completing his tasks he was enjoying some of Svetlana's Soup with some of the others when Ahto finds them with the rather small man in tow. At the introduction and Wonky's words Hexa nods and rises to his full height as he approaches Jhod. Deeming Galt as not something to eat.

He sticks out a large scaly hand in greeting. "Well Met Jhod, I am Hexa, hunter of Warband Ahto."

Hexa is using Lorekeeper on as many people he meets. Using it to acquire knowledge and expand on what he knows. Let me know if you want rolls or anything but he doesn't hide his eagerness to meet and greet new people.

He spends time looking for the one-legged hunter to hand over the remains of Tuskgutter, he had hoped to share meat but too much time had passed. Chacta followed behind him, noisily grumbling all the way.

Had a post started, then baby decided to sick up. So never pressed post. Currently hoping the rest of my family doesn't get the flu.

Hexa leaves the spiders domain with a grimace, such a threat was destructive to the land. Also could catch hunters in its traps. He made a mental note to buy items for killing it later.

He hunts as they explore, only taking what they needed and being thankful for what they got in addition to the boar meat they had enjoyed for days.

Take 10 with Tal assisting on Survival Checks for the duration of exploration. 10+7+2 = 19 overall to offset our need for rations.

Craft Armor over 3 day period to keep Tuskgutters hide from rotting and to treat it.: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

When they arrived back at Olegs Village, the increased activity brings his head frill to full mast. He was curious and watched as the Aoi'Si moved at a run to check on things. Hexa strode in slowly, leaving the merchants for later. He stops aside the encampment and summons water to cleanse himself of the smells of the road and combat. He douses himself, Tal and parts of Chacta until satisfied that the smell of death had been driven off. Once clean he leads Chacta and the plant goods to the person who would appreciate it most.

I can't think if I ordered anything or not. Hmmmm~

He leads Chacta and Tal to just outside the kitchen before telling them to wait there for him. He ducks down as he enters the smallish kitchen looking for Svetlanan.

Having been teaching Hexa she knows that his meaning of Scratches is like a mark or claim of ownership. Because lizardfolk scratches/claws were each unique and to take someones claim was to incite dispute or fighting for/to hold/ ones territory/property.

Ahto's expression of words brings little response to Hexa, it was examples that the Scaleless had. Sickness, Strength, Death, and life were part of the cycle in the lands he came from. "Your calling I don't question Warcheif. If Hexa can't swim across, he doesn't cross." He gestures to the display. "They were weak, they die. The cycle continues, simple. Hexa doesn's know Plague if strong then survive, if not die. But Wonky teach of Plague yes?" The last of his words was his curiosity as to what disease and sickness were. He knew little of the things Ahto spoke of, but all were new experiences and knowledge.

He doesn't try and stop Ahto, only speak what he knew. Ahto would go his way as a Warchief would.

He looks into the roots of the Sycamore before the band leaves, looking to clear it of any of the mites leftover vermin so that it survived.

He was pleased to see that Wonky was busy, he didn't regret his choices and actively wanted to be of use to the Aoi'Si.

He even checked to see if Arisl wanted things as well, but with her studying he left her alone. Seeing that her silence as reply enough.

Seeing the cleft in the rocky outcropping and Wonky moving forward Hexa follows after her, with his bow drawn and ready to fight. He calls for Chacta to Stay and Tal to follow if she can fit.

Days before

At Wonky's request he had already decided to hand over most of the Fangberries he had gotten. Keeping enough to start a garden back at the outpost with Svetlana, though he would keep out the fang spiders...

The Days of Travel

Hexa Agrees with Wonky and the others on the bridge, he is pleased by the ford they found as they traveled to Sootscale Lands.

Hexa shares their boar meat with the Sootscales if possible and the tale of Tuskgutters fall, pointing to his wounds as evidence that the beast had been laid low. The fresh scars and puffy injuries a mark of pride for himself.

The travel over the days leads to his injuries healing and when he sees the Mite's defeated form he gives a growl of excitement. Though when he sees anyone to remove it. "Leave alone. Sootscales claim and Sootscales could See..."

Hexa moves carefully forward. Staying on the edge of the thicket as he gathers berries. He stays away from where the webs are thickest and doesn't even flinch when the thorns stab beneath his scales.

Wonky's words and seeing that the thicket was covered in these webs forces Hexa to stay back. He would have to wait too acquire more plants for Svetlana as much as he disliked stepping on his own tail. He considers the option of not going after a full grown plant and perhaps seeds instead...

K-Nature - Fangberries - Did we get any of the berries at all and is the seeds in the berry itself or does fangberries make seed pods.: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

He steps forward, determined to get more for the village even though he had bad experiences with insects...

He shooed Tal and Chacta further away in case he needed to run...

He doesn't protest if the party tells him not to try, nor does he protest moving on. He's just determined to add more to the village when we return and more to the sootscale if he can.

Hexa had thought to harvest a few plants for Svetlana and maybe a gift too sootscale but as he encountered the white gossamer of the spider webs he hesitates visibly. Clicking his teeth in annoyance. He tries to free himself of it as he does what a good survivalist does when faced with the unknown.
