With tears in her eyes, Tempest says, "Tsukiyo was Fumeiyoshi's brother. Fumeiyoshi was the night, and Tsukiyo the moon." Tempest lights a sparkler to shine like the moon. "Then Fumeiyoshi grew jealous of how Tsukiyo shone in the light of the sun's love. So he murderered his brother, and stabbed him in the back with a naginata."

Tempest covers the sparkler, so that its light is hidden.

"But then the sun cried, and tears of cleansing rain fell, washing Tsukiyo's wounds, and Tsukiyo rose again from the dead!"

Tempest uncovers the sparkler and holds it aloft.

"And so it is that the moon waxes and wanes each month, coming back to shine due to the sun's love of him."

Then she turns to her friends. "Quick, all of you! We must cleanse Tsukiyo's shrine and make it clean again. If we do that, maybe his holy light can shine again!"

That is Tempest's attempt to cleanse the temple, reminding Tsukiyo who he was.

Tempest performs with Fireworks!

But they all peter out...

"Everyone, this is our chance to get a head! Let's celebrate!" Tempest shoots off a firework into the room! It blooms off the ceiling!

◈ Flower (visual) You ignite a ring of sparks, creating a shape that might be reminiscent of a flower blooming in the sky. Each enemy with 20 feet of you must attempt a DC 17 Fortitude save. On a failure, the enemy is dazzled for 1 round, and on a critical failure they are dazzled for 2 rounds.

Then she shoots off fire at Blue!

"And visit Santa? Okay!" Tempest agrees. "But shouldn't we finish pranking bad guys first for Sakura?"

"Oh wow! Look at this diary, everyone!" Tempest begins to skim it. "Ooh, there is some really bad juju in here. Apparently this place is a hotbed of Golden League criminals, and there's some kind of evil naginata floating around."

Tempest, concerned that she will kill the stupid roast chicken, fights non-lethally with her fire.

Then she raises her shield. "Surrender, stupid chicken!"

"Or we could fry you... Your choice!" Tempest says in a cheery tone.

"Maru's belly isn't floppy! It bongs like a gong!" Tempest Steps in and strikes at the frightened chicken.

"That was just a warning shot!" Tempest says. "Just wait until she hits you for real!"

"You leave my friend Tilly alone!" Tempest attacks Blue with a gush of fire.

Tempest pops back into her own form, shoots off a firework shaped like a flower, and raises a shield!

Ka-Booom!

"Surprise, my dim sum buddies!" And then she thinks a moment. "Oh yeah. I'm totally a gnome!"

Tempest in a Teapot's Acrobatics (T): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Ponk-ponk-ponkity-ponk-ponk

The chest successfully hops across the waxed and greasy floor and calls out in a ghostly voice, "We ghosts are coming for you-oo-oo..."

Finally! People she can prank! Tempest concentrates, and then suddenly becomes a small chest and hops behind the halfling.

Ponk! Ponk! Ponkity-ponk!

Then she whispers... "Is it true that these chests are... haunted?"

Tempest finishes poking the halflings, and shrugs. [b]"Not worth pranking. Let's find someone who is."[/b[

Is it time to move on to the next room?

Tempest looks at the carvings, and sees that they are both pretty and old. "Beautiful workmanship."

Crafting T: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

"I think you're right! They're friendly and stuff!"

Then she glances over at the moaning halflings, and pokes one of them. "What's up with you? You can tell me, I'm totally a gnome."

Deception T: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Perception to Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Tempest wants to know if these halflings are in their right minds or not. It's not as much fun to prank drugged out weirdos because they can't appreciate the true craftsmanship of a good prank. Though if they're only sort of out of it, it might be funny to turn into different objects and talk to them so that they think they're drunker than they are.

Yes, I am in the room. Yes, I walked down the hallway. And in case it matters, my exploration mode is Search, and my bonus is a truly terrible +4.

Also... Is there a map? If so, I can't find it.

Tempest asks the mayor... "Do you know who owns the tofu sho--"

Then she hears the smashing sound of the door. and smiles brightly at the mayor. "Never mind. Why, would you look at that? The door just fell in."

Deception T: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

She then hastily rejoins the party in their explorations.

Perception T: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

"Um... Is that a sliding door behind that placard?"

"Has anything changed around the village in the last month?" Tempest asks. "Anything that you remember might be helpful."

Tempest recovers her vision and decides that it is time to shoot fireworks!

Then having shot off her firework, she pleads with Red. "You're as pretty as this flower in the sky! Don't you see that we're trying to help you?"

Calla Tilly --

1) If you want to attack non-lethally with a lethal weapon like a bow you will need to take a -2 to your shot to aim for the areas that don't kill.

2) Pink can't surrender. It's unconscious, but the good news is that it is out of the fight and we didn't kill it.

3) You get two actions back... whee!

4) I hope that you, Frost and Froggy are all keeping safe from the typhoon.

"Those colors! So pretty!" Tempest gets an eyeful of Dizzying Colors, and unfortunately that's a spell and not an innate ability. It still incapacitates and blinds her.

Tempest realizes that her options for non-lethal damage on Nature Spirits are low, so she gives Kordak a healing boost and raises her shield.

Tempest gets out some marshmallows, roasts them with her fire breath, and then offers some to the squirrels before lighting her sparklers by the fire. Then she dances with the pretty lights for her squirrel friends.

Tempest swings on a branch, trying to get a higher view. "Look at me, acting like a monkey! Oooooook!"

Tempest feels her way through the trees, feeling which side the moss is on. "I think we need to go that way!'

"Yes, but we'll prank it first!" Tempest says. "This will be awesome!"

"Oh... nice to meet you, Sakura! You're right that Maru and I have been here before." She pauses. "What can we do to help?"

Tempest is very pleased that Tilly notices her efficiency. "You should see how fast I can make up a fireworks display!" She smiles up to Tilly. "I would love to travel with you again! We'll teach you all the jokes!"

Tempest notices nothing except that the creatures are really, really cute. "Ooh! Those are the mail carriers? They're adorable! Why doesn't Kodomi village have mail carriers like that?"

Tempest sings a song,

She dances and spins along the path, inviting the risucho to bounce along with her.

Tilly’s expression softens a little at Tempest’s enthusiasm. “A hot meal sounds wise than charging straight into a ghost fog on an empty stomach,” she admits, allowing a faint smile to crease her otherwise serious face then adds “And maybe we can learn something while we eat. Merchants talk more freely when there’s a bowl in front of them”

"Great! Let's get some for the whole team!" Tempest loads up Tilly's arms with rice bowls, though she does carry the ones for her and Maru herself as they trek back to the others.

Tempest's jaw drops for a moment, and then she bursts with laughter. "Oh, you totally got me," she says, as she hands Kordak his bowl so that Tilly can regain the use of her arms. "For a moment there, I thought you were serious."

"It's good to know that dwarves have such a good sense of humor!" she confides in Maru and Tilly. "So... Tilly. Is this your first mission? Did you travel far to get here? And what made you join the Pathfinder Society?"

Tempest turns to the rest of the party. "That goes for the rest of you. What's been your favorite mission so far? Maru and I joined the Pathfinders so that we could travel, see the world, and bring back the best jokes to our people!"

She returns to eating her hot rice bowl while it is still hot, listening to her fellow party.

"Oh, that's why we're all here!" Tempest states. "We're here to find out why this is happening, and get trade running again!"

"It might also be nice to grab a hot meal before we head in, though. Is there a worthy food stand near by?" She turns to the others. "What are you in the mood for? Noodles, dumplings or rice bowls?"

On the road to Hokkoshi

Tempest finds Kordak's lack of speech to be so frustrating, but she earnestly tries to engage the silent dwarf in conversation walking alongside him as he and his armor clang through the countryside. "So... Kordak, I've never met a dwarf before. What are the favorite pranks of your culture?"

At Hokkoshi

Tempest comes right up to the Spirit Guides, dressed in her nice kimono. She smiles up at them, and wags her raccoon tail. "Hello, I'm totally a gnome."

"Why so glum, chum?" She opens her eyes wide and guileless, hoping to hear a first hand account of the fog. "Can you tell us newcomers why you are all here?"

At the Lodge

Tempest looks at the newly arrived human ranger in the party and selects a scroll of Runic Weapon from the Quartermaster. To the group she says, "I can also cast your scrolls of Heal should you want them as provisions."

On the Road to Hokkoshi

Tempest enjoys the days of travel through the Osogen Grasslands. At night, when there is an endless sky, Tempest offers short firework shows to her team, experimenting with different colors and bangs - but only for a few minutes, so that everyone can sleep afterwards. Although tanukis crave excitement, they also love being quiet in nature, and Tempest revels in the birds and butterflies that appear from time to time as they walk through the grasslands.

Along the way, she enjoys chatting with her fellow party members. Tempest says, "Maru and I have been travelling mostly in Tian Xia so far, not that distant from our home of Kodomi village. He's been selling things and I've been giving firework shows!" Then she grins. "Our most recent adventure though was in an iruxi enclave in Cassomir, where we got into a prank war with some elemental scamps. It was glorious!"

She turns to each of her team members. "So... tell me about yourself. Where are you from? Where have you been? What was your most exciting adventure?"

Tempest considers a moment. "Maru and I were attacked by enraged kami when something upset the balance of the forest last time. So we just all have to work together and find whatever's causing it."

Then Tempest grins and claps her hands. "And we'll have such fun tricking them when we do!" Her tail wags happily.

Tempest nods as she listens. "Kitsune are really tricky, but so are we. If there is something else causing this problem, we'll trick it too!" Then she pauses, considering. "Other than kitsune, what are the main problems of the Forest of Spirits? Are there other players or threats we should be looking for?"

So let's talk about what a botting section is used for.

1) It can help out your GMs and fellow players if real life erupts for a few days, preventing you from posting.

2) It can help out you because you can copy and paste the dice rolls, leaving more time for you to compose fun roleplay in your posts.

I created a PBP Character Template that has a BOT ME section. You can copy just the Bot Me section and use it on your profile if you would like. When used on your profile, the dice expressions stay intact.

I usually keep my character in a google doc like this and then update the google doc when I need to level, copying and pasting it to my character.

You can make the Bot Me section a spoiler, but I have started leaving it out in the open since it's the section of my sheet I always access.

Hmm

The cushion pops, and in its place is a friendly-looking female gnome in a kimono with a raccoon tail and raccoon ears. Still giggling, she turns to the others. "I couldn't see his face from my position. What did it look like?"

Then she takes a teacake, pops it into her mouth and smiles. "So good! I'm Tempest, by the way. Pleased to meet all of you. I'm a firework performer, also from Kodomi village. Maru and I didn't have far to travel to get here. We're practically locals."

Tempest waits, stealthily, for Maru to sit down. Knowing his tendencies, she had arrived super early, found the sunniest space facing the window, and transformed herself into one of Amara Li's seating cushions. It was hard not to giggle as he spent time inspecting the teapot and the tea cup, but eventually he had relaxed and sat down. And that was when she started to make loud, squelching fart noises.
