Sorry, I didn't specifically mention it, but I am back....No internet for like two weeks over christmans and new years was...not the kinda present I wanted. Fortunately I managed to find something to pass the time, but still.

So I am posting from work: Apologies about not posting sooner, but I have been down internet wise for roughly a week, and will not have internet back up yet for a week or so. This means that I haven't had internet for the last 4 days (as we had 4 days off at my work for the holiday). It's been...an experience where I learned that I use the internet more than I thought I did. With all of that being said, I will try to post from work as I can, but if I am in your game, please bot me as needed. If I am running your game, please bear with me while I try to post when I can. Hopefully, sooner than better, but I want to be up front about this issue. again, I apologize about the delay.
Later, Telv returns excitedly to his home and asks to speak to Connor. "So, I managed to gather some interesting information, about the location of a Bracelet of Power, as told in the old song, The Ruler of the Bracelet. In the story, two Halvarians find a bracelet of power, and they have to take it to Cindra and throw it into a fire mountain. They form the Brotherhood of the Bracelet. As they travel, they are trailed by a Strix named Gottom who considers the bracelet to be his special posession, as well as nine different bracelet bogeymen." "The story is told in three parts, each with their own title. he first part would be called 'The Brotherhood of the Bracelet', followed by 'A Couple of Towers', with the climactic ending called 'Hey, the King's Back!'"" "They also told me that if we go to the fire mountain, we can find this bracelet, so we should definitely go."
Telv, in his father's form, moves from tavern to tavern, sharing drinks and laughter with all who travel with him. He tries his hand at Bangball, but is more interesting in just being around people, listening to them tell their stories and helping to stop the odd brawl here and there.

Telv also heads towards town, but likely not with the same intentions as Vim.
"No, I just wished for a house that could house the crew out of town."
"I think I'll spend some time in the city too, to get a feel for this place, since we'll be here a while."
"I think we can do all sorts of neat stuff in here, but I don't know any trades like this."
"Oh, I don't really need anything, but I feel like I should help you guys out. You did free me after all."
"So I did good then?" asked Telv, clearly nervous about something.
"I thought we only needed lodgings for 50 people! that's what I wished for!"
Telv doesn't seem to notice the food, and instead say "I think I'm going to go explore. Does anyone else want to come with me?"
Unfortunately, robots don't care about the timing and flow of narrative.
Looking around at the group to see if there are any requests. Once those have been attended to, Telv will say "No, this looks really good! You all did a fantastic job!"
"We don't really have any neighbors, so that's not a problem Connor. and the servants came with the house, as I didn't hire them or anything." At Connor's suggestion, however, Telv will say "Make sure that my guests have something that is healthy for them to eat please!"
"Yes please!"
"This place is mine!" says Telv as he pulls the deed from a pouch on his hip and hands it to Connor.
As Telv watches the bats fly away, he is glad that they have left his new house. Picking up the deed and putting it in his pouch, he changes into the form of his father and takes off at a breakneck pace to the group's location. Coming tromping back into the meeting, Telv says excitedly "I got us a house. Come see!" barely giving the people in the room a chance to stand up and follow him before bounding back downstairs and out of the building.
GM: Telv moves through the city, looking for a good place nearby to set a house. Once he finds one he likes, he will say "I wish that I owned the land around here, and there was a house here with enough rooms to comfortably house 50 people."
"Let me see if I can find us a place." says Telv, and then he takes off. GM:
"Why don't we just look at buying a large house?"
Good luck with your interviews. Fortunately, this is a better time to be looking for a job.
Telv continues to be excited about a new city, where he will likely get to meet new people!
Telv had heard some of the crew calling Connor Boss, and so had taken to the name with great gusto. During the meeting, Telv would pay attention to the plan, even if he doesn't quite care about ship engines or spying. When it came to the question about the party composition, Telv said "Well Boss, let me ask this. Who feels like they need physical protection? My father taught me how to fight, and I'm pretty good at it."
Telv spends the rest of his time on shore going from Inn to tavern, and basically enjoying himself immensely. Finally, he returns to the ship to tell everyone about his adventures with a lighter coin purse but clearly happy.
After getting run into a few times, Telv will do his best to avoid people touching him while he continues to move around, his awe somewhat diminished by the behavior of the people around him. Seeing some of the crew going into a building, Telv will follow them.
Telv was only half listening to Connor as he looked out over the sea of people doing stuff! When the crew started making their way down the gangplank, Telv would follow them, eventually getting lost just wandering around the city. Having never been in a city before, he just wandered, marveling at all the new things he had not yet seen. Telv always introduced himself the same way: "Hello, I am Telv, and I am a Southern Elf!"
"I think the Captain should wear is scars proudly." says Telv, perhaps a bit jealous that he can't get scars of his own...
Telv really doesn't need money, and would likely give all of his money to anyone in the group should they ask it of him. Seeing as how he's a god-crafted ooze, he just makes stuff out of his body, and that's exactly where I want him to be, tbh. So, in short, Telv isn't really interested by money, he's much more interested in seeing new things and hearing other people's stories.
"What's a researcher?" asks Telv, clearly only following half of the conversation.
Telv, I forgot about that. I can't tell if you're Beast Boy from the Teen Titans in DC Comics, or Odo from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I'll keep the boots for a future project. For energy resistance, the power is a touch, not "self only", so no problem. Okay, good deal.
I'm done buying stuff (I just upgraded my AoMF to +2). I missed your question earlier Connor, but I think Telv is fine with clothing, since his father made him some and showed him how to wear it. With that being said, I shouldn't need boots of psionic levitation now, since I can take the form of a flying creature. I'm also harder to hurt now (thanks to Mythic), although I will probably look at trying to get energy resistance when I can (cause the energy items you're crafting won't work for me, as I don't have a psionic focus).
"And the bottles in there are very tasty!" says Telv.
Telv doesn't have any PP alas, but he would be willing to take damage for others.
Connor:
During the period of instruction, it quickly becomes apparent that Flann's report about Telv is correct: He learns quickly, but there are some concepts that are completely alien to him, like deception. That, and currency. He really struggled to get that one, but in the end he at least had a rudimentary idea of how barter and currency worked. When the new people were introduced to the crew, a young Human woman walked around and said hello to each of them, shaking their hands in a mechanical way that suggests that she was new to the practice. She introduced herself the same way to each of them "Hello new friend! I am Telv, a Southern Elf!"
Welcome new folks! I'm a Southern Elf! As Connor has surmised, Telv is a reasonably powerful melee combatant. I'm the other new addition to the group, having recently met the group in a certain place (Telv is not allowed to say more about it).
Telv relished the idea of flying and so welcomed any chance to do so, although Connor has to stop him after the first time they see people, as he approaches them and says "I can fly! I'm a Southern Elf!" and then takes to the wing once more.
I can start taking Engineering as long as I can find a good IC reason to do so.
Telv was making his way back towards the ship when he heard people talking about a 'fleet' coming in. Not wanting to bother anyone, he instead began trying to move quickly back to the ship, but the road was crowded with many others who were also trying to get to the docks. I wish I could fly like they do. Telv thought to himself; and just like that, he changed from his 'father' form to that of a hawk, where he began soaring through the air. It didn't take him long to get back to the ship, just long enough in fact to see the others getting ready to fly. Landing next to Flann, Telv says "I can fly now! it's really neat!"
I use my 30 days of Vacation time a year on 4 day weekends. I take 1 or two a month normally (although this year I had 5 combined workweeks of Influenza goodness).
