Tella waves a hand, "Some crackpot was saying that 3.5 years ago, but the Pathfinders debunked it, elves sleep like anyone else. S'alright this saki! So how about we meet up tomorrow and seek out a ship. Hopefully we can find some merchant and sign on as guards to cover our passage."

Earlier to Dresden "See value for money, one meal lasted you days! But I don't think so, seems like they don't go in for the same amount of spice. Plus they have this drink, Suki? Supposed to burn just right going down." Later. Tella nods, covering her mouth as she speaks through a mouthful of spring roll, "I say we go, I could use a bit of time away from the Smithy, my Da' has decided to play matchmaker and if I have to threaten to castrate another dullard dwarf I am not going to be able to stop at threatening."

"I do not know which lunatic decided this f&+!ing book needed to be delivered via the sewers, but a man lost his life trying to deliver this. If you had not asked for a book you already had a person would still have their life, now you might not have known that such a thing might happen, but I want you to know it did. Good day!" Tella snaps, bristling. Snatching the book she storms out of the shop and kicks the wall growling, "Idiots! Stupid pointless idiots!" Heading back into the sewers with her parties help she retrieves the body, and the gear from the kobolds, and returns its late member to The Pathfinder Society. "Turns out he already had the book. I hope the majority of your missions are better conceived than this farce." Turning to her companions she adds, "I suggest we go sell this kobold gear, and the book, then maybe we could try this new Tian place Nogg Oneleg told me about, apparently they carve little flowers and such out of carrots."

No that was 50gp and a masterwork greataxe, which is 160gp + 50gp + 100gp so 62gp each - it was a very short scenario so not too bad. We also have all of the kobolds gear to sell which should bring in a bit more, could you list that please GM? How much XP did we get from the previous adventure? Did we get a figure?

That is the one. Basically I don't think it makes much sense for us to leave Absalom on a single small adventure, but it would for a substantial endeavour such as taking on The Emerald Spire. I have not read it, but the reviews seem strong, and my impression is it is a good dungeon crawl style adventure which I feel is suited to the group. Whether we become Pathfinders I think depends upon what adventures you choose, if we are going to be doing a number of PFS adventures it makes sense, if we go Emerald Spire, or some other none Pathfinder associated route, then it does not seem appropriate.

Better not to do adventures any of us have done if we can help it I would say. Has any one played The Empire Spire Super Dungeon? That might be quite well suited to the group and could potentially - I have not looked at it so not sure - be moved to the Isle of Kortos, which Absalom is on. That would take us from our current level to 13th. If the surroundings are important we could go there for the promise of such a huge dungeon, makes more sense than travelling for a minor quest.

There is a list of adventures set in Absalom I found previously, I think there are more than enough adventures to keep us on the Island for the lower levels and that seems to make the most sense. We probably should sign up as official Pathfinders I think, thoughts?

"Err, well I guess I know how, but only for dwarves, and you humans don't really worship Today... I don't suppose it could do any harm? Right, okay..." Tells removes her pack and unbuckles the bottom section pulling her anvil free, "This doesn't sound as good in common as dwarven, but... Though your forge fires grow dim, know this is not the end, all of the things you have shaped, and all those whose lives you have helped to forge will carry forth a memory of you while your soul moves onwards to forge anew. May the works of your old life prove sound and true, and those of the newnachieve new heights." As she speaks she strikes her hammer upon the anvil, forming a complex pattern. "Well that is it... Not sure it was appropriate, but it is the only death rite I know..."

"I agree, I do not think the message was urgent, else it is already long overdue let's just be careful to keep our bearings," Tella casts about looking for any clues that might give an indication what direction the kobolds came from. Take 20 on Perception for 23.

Tella surges forward moving past Varile and taking a position by his side, to her great frustration her swing is poorly aimed and fails to connect with her small foe. "Torag's toenails!" She curses. Hammer: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Tella piles the kobolds up to the side of the passage intending to come back for their armor later, money being money. "Just let me rune up..." With care she inscribes a rune upon her warhammer, repeating the process four times, the hammer squlaity notably increasing in a dozen subtle ways.

Crawling over the edge muttering dwarven curses Tella retrieves her rope, "Bloody Kobolds, well done Variel, Dresden, sorry I was about as much help as, well, a dwarf in a pit. Pass me that wand and I'll take care of our injuries while you check these scaly buggers for valuables." Activating the wand she restores everyone to full health before returning it to Dresden. I did not get it to be honest. Waiting until Garidan finishes climbing out Tella begins to clamber laboriously out of the pit, sweat quickly forming on her brow.

Garidan has a speed of 30 I think so a full round climb would still leave him with 5ft to climb, but he could finish thatmove 10ft and still have a standard action next round. No need to be sorry the point of traps is to be a hazard, no fun with no challenge :) Tellas contribution to the fight is getting herself and Garidan out of the pit and I actually got to make use of my awful Animate Rope domain spell.

No sadly not move action to retrieve the rope and a standard to cast the spell, which the toss is included in - perhaps debatable but the spell is so dreadful without that you have to suppose it is the intent. You climb at 1/4 speed to so it will take Tella 2 round top climb out after this.

Please note that Tella would normally get a +2 on Perception vs stone features like this and gets an automatic check whenever she is withing 10ft. of them, due to the Dwarven Stonecutting ability, no difference here, but for future reference :) Tella falls like a stone, hitting the water with a painful slap and struggling to her feet, growling she pulls the knotted rope from her pack and casts animate rope upon it hurling it up to coil around the grate above. Dresden from the living costs thing I suspect we will all fall into one of two categories, both of which are much cheaper than 28gp a week. If we get the wand I suggest Tella carries it since I think she is the only one who can use it without a check? If I am wrong in that and someone else can use it without the need to roll they can carry it since Tella is less mobile than the rest of the party. PFSRD wrote:

Awesome, please don't think I was trying to dissuade others from taking them just that I do not think they are party items. Well Lesser Restoration is pretty situational, its a 2nd level spell so Tella could not prepare it until 3rd level. But she does have a decent heal check and generally that is sufficient and a more reliable way to recover from ability damage. Lesser Restoration only does 1d4 so for 150gp its not great value in my book - Penny Pinching for Misers ;) Even once Tella hits 3rd its more a prepare the next day if someone gets ability damage spell, unless you have a good idea you are going up against something with the ability to do ability damage. If we get ability damage I would say manage it until it is practical to rest and then Tella will take 10 on long term care to get 2 points back overnight. If someone wants to pick it up awesome, but I personally think its more valuable being sold and putting the money to things that are a definite boost. Not tempted by the MW Shortsword Variel? You could always sell it later at the same price if you find a weapon you prefer. Loot: a masterwork short sword = 155gp
15 cold iron shurikens = 15gp two flasks of acid = 10gp a potion of cat’s grace = 150gp Variel a potion of lesser restoration = 150gp a wand of summon monster I (CL 3rd, 9 charges) = 202.5gp an amethyst worth 100 gp darts (4) 1gp masterwork scimitar = 157.5gp cloak of resistance +1 = 500gp Tella 10 javelins=10g if sold a scroll of invisibility = 75gp scroll of shatter = 75gp scroll of shield other = 75gp silver altar services, worth 100 gp altogether two silver holy symbols of Nethys. = 25gp masterwork silver dagger = 161gp Variel a masterwork light steel shield = 79.5gp 4 javelins= 4gp if sold. collar with lapis lazuli stones and has a silver tag reading “Kita.” worth 50 gp. 2095.5 2095.5 ÷ 5 = 419.1 each + 250 relics + 51.4gp coins = 720.5gp each I suggest anyone can "buy" items from the loot at the selling price, so effectively half normal price. So Tells will buy the cloak of resistance for 500gp - if nobody else gets a 20 and its cool - and have 220.5gp left over. |
