I apologize in advance for not posting recently. I lost my job which has led me to scramble to get things in motion to keep my bills paid. I will be getting a post up tonight to keep things moving.

I'm still here and lurking about. Whenever he gets back is fine with me. I really like playing my warforged so I am here to stay.

Posting from work again. It seems that the problem arose when I uploaded the file to my Dropbox account, so that I could download it to my tablet for reading instead of connecting the table to PC via cable.

Whatever happened to Dropbox's supposed privacy rules? They can just violate your stuff anytime they want?

Do Pathfinder Warforged even have to sleep?

Fortunately, they do not require sleep.

Looking around the stable she takes in the surroundings.

"Seems suitable enough. I'll take watch tonight unless anyone else would like it."

And I return. It's been a hectic few weeks. I'll get a post up in a few hours at most.

Status update: she successfully had angioplasty and a stint put in. They checked for a stroke and found no signs of such. She sleeps for the most part, though she is not recognizing anyone and is not very coherent.

The surgery being a success was most welcome, though there is still more yet to come. We still have to see if her body rejects or accepts said stint, which will come with time. That's about it for now.

My mother-in-law is in the hospital after having suffered a heart attack. I do not know when I will be available to post. I will post updates at varying intervals.

"We came to investigate when a goblin announced that he found a dead body and were attacked when some other warforged showed up. We managed to capture one, and plan to interrogate them." Tarragon says without guile.

"Where shall we take him that's out of view of prying eyes?" Tarragon asks while looking around at the gathering crowd.

Apologies for not having posted recently. I have not been feeling well. Having a very harsh headache, feels just about like a migraine, but I am not sure. I can't get myself in the mindset to play my characters when I am like that. It's a push just to be able to be at work. I'll get something in the morning when I settle in at work. I plan on quality sleep tonight so I'll be back in my groove soon. :-)

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth... But how did they provoke AoO, then?

Nightflier, I have something to add to this. Since using a bow does not provoke an AoO, Tarragon cannot take one.

MY preference is that I roll Initiative for all and do that for every round, so that the fights are more interesting. Than I post Initiative order by scores. If that's fine with you, I'll presume that you are acting first in this round of combat, and I'll roll initiative for the 2nd round.

That's fine with me.

Drawing her longbow, Tarragon readies for combat.

I've played in one of Nightflier's games before. I have had my times that life intervened and caused a reduced posting rate.

I've all the time I desire, so I am all too happy to wait.

"Not usually." she replies to Glaive. "Unless there is something unique about this particular cadaver. I shall investigate further."

She does not seem like she is suspicious, only curious at this point.

She stands and makes her way outside to where the others have gone.

Apart from the enormous brouhaha thread about whacking foes with the middle of your longspear, and just what exactly constitutes an improvised weapon or an object, I'm pretty sure there is an option, I just can't remember what it is. I know Polearm Fighters need to wait until x level to get it, and I think they still get a ridiculous penalty.

A spiked gauntlet while you wield your reach weapon?

@Tarragon, can you install HL on 2 devices with a single license, like with many software I used for work purposes, as I have my main PC with multiple monitors, and a small tablet for travelling.

Yes. You get a main license when you purchase a game and 1 secondary for free. You may purchase additional secondary licenses for $10 to use on additional computers as well, though I think that number is limited to 3 or so. I am using Hero Lab from this laptop currently. I do not have access to my desktop right now so it makes it easier for me.

The three of them made their way into the city, its long and winding streets took them across the urban landscape. After what seemed like an hour they arrived at the tavern.

Tarragon puts her hand on Glaive's shoulder. "Easy now, we're just looking for work. Come, let us sit down and see what the locals offer."

Stepping through the doors a few feet, Tarragon stops and scans the room. Seeing nothing worthy of scrutiny she makes her way to the only table with room and sits down.

Looking up at Tomp and Glaive she waits till they have done a cursory look of the place. Then she nods to the table, as an indication to sit.

"Always the soldiers. They won't be satisfied till they have mapped this place out, but at least they know where the exits are." she thinks.

@Tarragon, did you buy all the PFRPG core and bestiary books? Or what add-on did you take for HL as a whole?

Do you have to modify data files to make these house rules modifications, or simple thing to do in the GUI itself. I particular trying to find something to handle nightflier's custom setting that has altered races and altered classes, along with altered abilities and feats.

Also can it handle gesalted characters, see long ago HL could not handle them, have no idea these days?

Hero Lab has the ability to make adjustments to any character without having to modify the data files. You cannot alter the class directly, you would need to add an adjustment to account for it. Hero Lab does not have the ability to gestalt at this time. However, the community has made unofficial addons (for free) that enables this. There are lots of fan-made goodies!

As for the books, you have to buy them as separate packages for Hero Lab, altough some come in packs. These packs are bundled together at a discount to entice buying them as a whole unit.

I have been buying addons off and on for a while now, and have the following books for Hero Lab:

Posting this in a few adventure discussion threads that I taking part in.

I been pondering HeroLabs for 2 years already, the high cost has been keeping me away from purchasing, considering PFRPG has a number of add-ons, and the Authoring Kit to create custom game systems for custom games is separate add-on feature at heavy 20 USD.

I been using PC Gen, when I can, yet last few adventures I taken part in all have modified system with plenty house rules that affect character creation and progress, I have been forced to use spreadsheets to manage the characters, as PCGen currently not flexible enough to handle the house rules (though adding items, abilities has been no hassle). Therefore the Authoring Kit probably be needed.

I would like to hear from others in these adventures, if you using HeroLab for these adventures, and how HeroLabs handles the custom house rules.

As for Hero Lab, I have used it in a variety of situations that the data packages don't cover. Namely, house rules. Many GMs use the extra feat for their games and I can make an adjustment to account for this. If I need to add skill points, change uses per day for class abilities, add ability adjustments, skill bonuses, I can do so. I like the program and will use it for years to come.

I use Hero Lab. As soon as I get back from lunch (and off my phone) I will post more on how it is able to handle additional rules and changes.

Concerning warforged armor:

For my homebrew race, Servitors, I used armor plating slots. A servitor can change his armor by going to artificer to be grafted with additional armor.

I'm gonna do something like that here: Warforged can not wear regular armor, but there are possibilities of grafting them with additional plating that provides armor bonuses. This can be done only with special equipment and by specialized and trained artificers.

Nightflier has ruled that the minimum armor (plating) we can have is a breastplate whcih we also need to pay for, so you may have to readjust your purchases. Not sure how that interacts with Spell-less Ranger.

Ok, how will this work for me? I took Craft: Blacksmith so as to be able to repair us. Is there another skill I can replace Blacksmith with to make this work? If not, I will readjust my skills and background to reflect this.

After perusing my gear selections I do believe I am ready. If anyone has equipment suggestions I am open to ideas. I don't want to spend more than 10Gp as I want to have money left over.

I have the crunch posted. I still may make some tweaks to the gear, but everything else should be in order.

Sure was, I was worried that it would have caused major problems, but is created awesome posting opportunities of unexpected actions due to language barrier. Love to give it another go again.

As would I. If it requires me to change some languages I am fine with that. We'll see. :)
