Pfff it's hardly your fault Kalb. It was a stupid move by me. Stabilise check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 So that'd be dead unless healed :( Any requests for my next PC? That is, assuming I don't get booted for being crap...

Rather than head back to cover, I'll stick with the stranger. Tarin nods as the man steps up beside him. "Bravery is the key to freedom," he states simply. "But I will be beside you." Eyes returning to the bird (readying standard action to hit when if it comes within striking distance, and move action to advance as Kalb does), Brother Larvendi rasps at the warrior, "You didn't answer my questions. Perhaps after the battle we can resume the discussion."

Meh, invertebrates don't count :) Don't worry, he won't start angling for everyone to start eating tofu burgers or anything. But I'm waiting on the knowledge check to see what kind of bird it is. You know, the noble beast thing and all. If the DM says they're known as bad tempered, ill-omened carrion eaters, Tarin won't have any problem killing it :)

The figure in front of you is of middling height, and is swathed in the flowing white desert garments, including a full hood and veil, common in this land. His clothing, however, is both slashed and badly burnt, ragged in many places, revealing pale skin shot through with pink scar tissue. He appears to be bleeding gently from a few minor wounds. Shifting his stance so that his blade still points at the great bird, he looks at Kalb for a moment, then rasps, "We seek to cleanse this once holy place. Who are you, sir, and what do you here?" His voice is neither kind nor threatening, though the harsh sound of his voice is not comforting.

As Tarin's bow is back in the chapel, the devotee of the Drunken God rushes forward with a great overhand chop at the bird. Not completely sure what's difficult or impassable terrain, so assuming I can't charge I'll head to A18 and attack Curved Blade: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 = 21

Ok, so I've looked through my CRB, I can't see anything about items and falling damage, so I'll have to assume they take full damage. Thus, I'll have dropped the bow upstairs. Also an attack roll is probably useful. I don't know where the King will be and so whether I'll be able to charge him, so DM please just add the charge bonus if applicable. Elven cuved blade: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Hmmm. I don't have my CRB with me - does the bow take a full 2d6 Dmg if I drop it? I think from memory it has hardness 5 and 5 hp... If it takes a full 2d6 I'll drop it upstairs, if it takes half damage I'll drop it onto the lower floor. I'll use my last remaining [i]agile feet to ignore the difficult terrain, charging the little bugger if I can. Tarin flows across the pews and rough ground as if it didn't exist, brandishing his weapon as he closes on the pugwampi. "For Cayden, Sarenrae, and freedom!"

Argh, now the king's taken cover I probably need 20 to hit... Going to have to drop bow and run downstairs again. Not winning in the action economy stakes, sorry folks. Brother Larvendi drops his bow and runs to the ladder, descending quickly. Sorry DM, on my phone - can you position me appropriately?
Hp: 9/11
Brother Larvendi levels his blade at the pugwampi leader, and intones, "By the Drunken God, you shall receive justice for despoiling this holy place, and Cayden Cailean willing, I shall be the one to grant it!" Swift action to activate Judgement (justice) on the King Larvendi then steadily advances on the little bugger. Not sure exactly where I am, but if I can reach the King I'll engage him. Assuming I need Acrobatics rolls, I'll use my guidance bonus. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Assuming I can see the King...
Not sure if I'm in bad luck range or not... Comp Longbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Dmg: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 If I don't have LoS to the little bugger, I'll head up the ladder with blade in hand I guess...

I may be biased as I'm a jazz musician in real life. And a little roguish as well... My current bard is mainly an orator (and also a dancer, though that's pretty much in the background). I like to view his inspire courage as a comic book style conversation that explains to the enemy how and why they're wrong and about to get the shite kicked out of them :) But I can dig that it's one of those things that can break immersion for some. To each their own! I pretty much like to play every class.

Tarin shakes the beast's blood from his blade, then after a quick glance upwards to the mezzanine overhead moves swiftly to the ladder. I'll double move to the ladder, taking a direct route and using agile feet to ignore difficult terrain again - I'm hoping it will get me up the ladder, or close to it.

Well, profile updated - turns out that didn't change a single number on my character sheet :) Will make a difference if I take UMD down the line though I guess. Actually, if I can have a day or so of grace, I may switch out my Conversion Inquisition back to the Travel domain. I was going to take Travel, but when I took the array with the 5 I went for Conversion as my Cha was totally dumped, and I thought the social skills would still be important... Is that cool? I'm travelling home from vacation today, so I'll be able to pore over my books tonight :)

I was planning on moving (north)east to the outer wall and skirting around that way. Does that get me round about where I'm aiming for? My counting may still be a square or two off though, and I'll throw in an Acrobatics roll in case that gives me the best route: Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
