Envoy's Alliance

Once things settle down in camp, Tarcog settles in to some basic crafting for those who need it in the camp. He doesn’t find many people who want his help.

Crafting E +9 vs DC 15: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Failure

Of course, this Rod was given to me by the Great Gold Dragon Mengkare himself! I was then a young, naive and impatient Elf. At the time, I hadn't realized the significance of this gift.

It's not magic, but it gives me confidence in my abilities and helps me show to others the right way.

Respond Elondel to the young kobold.

Surprised, Tarcog says “You’ve been to Hermea?

I want to visit there someday. See what a land governed by a dragon is like. I heard that some of the lands of Tien Xa were ruled by a dragon as well, but no one knows where it went.

Strangely, with his pristine armor, decorated with flying dragons, he wears a lots of bits and bolts packed; broken holy symbols, scrap metal of diverse origins... On one side, a weapon who seems to be burning, as smoke gets out of its scabbard and on his hand a magnifiscent scepter with the head looking like a golden dragon.

When presenting himself to an ally or common people he slightly bows before presenting himself, his severe face lightening up with a warm smile and a soft voice usually saying Greeting, I'm Elonded Firehand, servant of Ragathiel.

The kobold looks the elf up and down before approaching them.

Holding out a hand, he says “Tarcog, pleased to meet you.

I like the design of your armor and rod. Is there a story behind them?

Character Details

1) Any special rules, boons, or corner cases you need to let me know about:

No.

2) A few sentences about your character, both out of character and in character as your character would describe themself. Why are you in the Pathfinder Society? What are your character’s quirks, interests and pet peeves? Where are you from? (And if this is not originally a Pathfinder Society Character, tell me about what makes them a good fit for this story.)

Current character is a level 3 Kobold summoner in love with electrical attacks. He has an electrical breath weapon, his eidolon has an electrical breath weapon, he has a lot of electrical spells. I am skirting the boundaries of being too concentrated in electrical attacks.
He joined the Pathfinder Society because they had worked with his tribe and helped them after their home got wrecked. It has absolutely nothing to do with him being a dragon scaled kobold and the chief of the tribe also being a dragon scaled kobold.

Tarcog is a kobold with shiny bronze scales and fancy clothing. He has a prominent silver symbol of a dragon above a pool hanging from his neck. Those trained in such things would recognize it as Apsu’s religious symbol. His hands are wrapped in a silk covering. He is followed by a small bronze dragon.

Seeing the others he says “Welcome friends! Did you also receive a mysterious invitation to investigate a mystery? I’m hoping it will involve dragons, for surely there can be nothing more magnificent and mysterious than dragons!

I am Tarcog and this is my friend Amvolwatt, as you can see we are both mighty dragons!

He eagerly greets each of you, extending a handshake and a warm smile. He will even greet Silence, asking Meadow before offering the owl some rat jerky.

Some of you may get the feeling you shouldn’t investigate what he considers trail rations too closely.

3) If you have to level your character to level seven for the first chapter (‘The Lady’s Harvest’) are there any special changes you’re planning on making to it?

My base character is only level 3, so I will need to level it a lot.

I will be looking hard at the Snarecrafter and possibly trapsmith archetypes as part of leveling up. He is a kobold, they have a proud history of excelling at trapmaking.

He will be almost useless if you ask him to deactivate a trap. He has no skill in thievery and I don’t anticipate him ever getting it.

I build them, not break them!

4) What was your character’s previous favorite adventure, and why?

Bounty #1, where we

Spoiler:
exposed a fake dragon!

Return to the Grave where

Spoiler:
he found out there are such things as friendly undead! Mind blowing!

5) Why do you want to investigate in the Dark Archives Case Files?

It is very different than other adventures he has been on and I heard the second adventure takes place in a boat. He is interested in any adventure involving water.

6) Will you be able to post 2-3 times a day on average, barring occasional days off (Cons, Work, Short Vacations, etc?)

Yes.

7) Is there a botting spoiler already in your character’s profile? (Hint, hint!)

The profile has not been updated since first level. I promise to work on that, but may need to create a different alias just so as to not confuse it with the actual version of the character in society play.

I will be using a different alias for Amvolwatt. Last time I used this alias.

This application has been fact checked by a Dirindi editor.

Envoy's Alliance

I would need to verify, but I believe that Tarcog is level 3, just short of level 4.

Envoy's Alliance

A bronze-scaled kobold overhears the word underwater and comes over.

Oh! A fight underwater! Can I come?!? I’ll bring my dragon!

It isn’t a reunion tour though if we all swap to different characters.

That said, I do have a character that actually wants to play in an underwater scenario. Has Underwater Maurauder and an aquatic Eidolon.

Envoy's Alliance

Looks good!

It was a lot of fun, thanks for running Lady Ladile and thanks to all the other players. I would gladly do more adventures with all of you!

Now to work on a bronze dragon name for Tarcog’s dragon…

Envoy's Alliance

We would also be willing to protect you on this journey.

Envoy's Alliance

Tarcog Will save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Tarcog struggles to speak, shouting “ST.. ..AT!” at the pile of junk. Unfortunately the words got garbled as he was being choked at the time.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Two (or is it three?) action intimidate on haunt, act together

Envoy's Alliance

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I’m a dragon, not a whip-snap-crack whatever that is!

Envoy's Alliance

Having successfully identified the haunt, Tarcog moves to a better location.

Recall Knowledge X 2, Act Together to Stride

Envoy's Alliance

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

The other effect is a haunt. Say some prayers or just yell at it to make it go away.
Can look at second spoiler. Religion, Occultism, or Intimidation to Disable; Intimation is slightly harder than the other two options.

Envoy's Alliance

Oops, forgot that Recall Knowledge is an action with PF2. Will wait my turn to do it.:

Religion on Hands: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Religion on Shenanigans: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Envoy's Alliance

My dragon should also be up there. Protect from any potential ambush!

Envoy's Alliance

Do you want us to test if it is a creature?

Envoy's Alliance

The placement is too convenient, blocking the way out. If it were home, we would trap that area!

Envoy's Alliance

So what does a Lorekeeper do? I would have guessed it was some sort of scribe, but most scribes don’t go exploring dungeons.

Envoy's Alliance

Are you Lorekeeper Unzgrin? I would hope there aren’t multiple people lost down here!

Gesturing to themselves, Tarcog says “My name is Tarcog. As for what happened, it looks like you hurt your head after running from the loud mushrooms. Maybe you hit it on the ceiling?

Envoy's Alliance

While Aella is healing the orc, Tarcog and their dragon move in on opposite sides of the cave, searching for any hidden dangers.
Perception +3, Darkvision on both

Envoy's Alliance

Oh! Do you think this is the same sort of spider webs we saw signs of earlier

Envoy's Alliance

With a title like lorekeeper, I suspect they will be more concerned about getting these notes back than any of the provisions or supplies.

Envoy's Alliance

Tarcog says “You should drink some of the healing supplies, Sabasti!

Envoy's Alliance

Were we following the tracks in the wrong direction? I’m confused, why would someone leave their backpack behind?

Envoy's Alliance

Tarcog and his dragon were using the webs to hold the pieces of the various skeletons in place when he notices how the medical practice is going.

With a look of concern, Tarcog comes over. “I have this that might help?” he says, bringing out a Minor Healing potion. Handing it to Sabasti he adds “Go ahead and drink it.

Envoy's Alliance

Smiling, Tarcog says “That was a very forceful and electrifying end to the combat!

Then he looks over to notices Sebasti. “Are you ill? Is there something someone can do to help you?

Envoy's Alliance

Tarcog moves with his dragon, going just past it so he can see the passage in both directions.

Stride as part of Act Together

Envoy's Alliance

Curious, Tarcog shuts hit eyes for a moment. The dragon then carefully peers around the corner at the big mushroom.

Share Senses as the Eidolon takes cover and looks

Envoy's Alliance

Are they the type of mushrooms that talk? I’ve heard rumor of such things but never seen one.

Envoy's Alliance

1 person marked this as a favorite.

No, this is the first time we’ve provided our aid to any of you.” Tarcog gestures to himself and the dragon he called in.

Envoy's Alliance

So is anyone trained in survival? My character isn’t.

Envoy's Alliance

Aella, who is not a witch wrote:
Does playing twice to get a free Wayfinder include bounties? If so, Aella can have a Wayfinder now.

I’ve never been in a position to try it. Go to the boon page and let us know if it works!

Envoy's Alliance

Oh! A maze of twisty passages, all different!

Envoy's Alliance

So one of the things that Summoners can do is have the summoner take one exploration activity while the Eidolon takes a different one. The skills sheet doesn’t really provide for that.

I also think I need to break off the Eidolon to its own character sheet.

Envoy's Alliance

Tarcog, the new kobold who joined your group, doesn’t seem to like the rain. He likes wet clothing even less. His shiny bronze scales are pretty good about repelling water, but his clothing probably weighs more than him with all the water it has soaked up.

Finally! A nice cavern to protect us from that dreadful rain! Now I will not short out!

As soon as he is inside, he starts wringing out his clothing and using his magic to warm and clean it.

At Ezren’s mention of climbing down, Tarcog says “Not all caverns are dank! I happen to like caverns.

He moves further into the cave and then summons his friend Sparks.

Sparks is a small bronze dragon, about the size of a large hound or small bear. It preens itself, then looks at Tarcog and says something in Draconic.

Draconic:
You’re all wet!

Tarcog just gives the dragon a look, then resumes trying to get the clothing dry.

So where is this Urgir?

Looking to Bubba, he says “A meal would give us time to finish drying out. Sounds like a plan to me!

Envoy's Alliance

Thanks!

Still need to work out some details and figure out equipment but I should be able to finish that today.

Envoy's Alliance

Sorry, getting late. I’ve added tokens but still have work to do before the summoner is complete. It will have to wait until tomorrow.

Envoy's Alliance

Still working out the details, but I think I will build a Kobold Inventor Summoner.

Oops…Inventor isn’t sanctioned yet.
