I'd love to play another but I think I'm already a little over booked. Got a little carried away with game day and need to take a quick breather.

"I hate this place." Sumil says with a frown as the ghosts lasts words are uttered. "Cannibles, vampire ghosts. Normally this is in my ally, yes? These Gloomspires are an aweful place though. Let us get out of here." He sheaths his sword and assists Jed with identifying the magic items.

Will use Object Reading to determine the properties of each item.

"Lets leave, and I hope I never come back here!"

Unfortunately for Sumil I know there's a third part to the Gloomspire scenarios.

With the door open and Jed rallying behind him, Sumil rushes toward the spectre and takes a confident swing with his sword. Though he can not actually feel the hit he certainly gets the sensation that he did considerable damage.

Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 292d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 + 2 = 19

"Ah, it is good that we don't have to hurt the paladin anymore!" Sumil says as he rushes toward the spectre.

Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

He wracks his brain, looking for similarities between this creature and other ghosts he's learned about, and shouts a warning to his fellows.
"It can possess you, so keep your mind ready to fight, and don't let it touch you if you can help it!" He swings his ghosttouched blade in the hopes of dissipating the thing before it can attack again.

"I think I will rest a moment while you handle this, yes?" Sumil says, glad he finally hit something with his sword but his brain is still fuzzy and he's fighting rushing ahead.

"Those creatures took a lot out of me I think."

Delay, will take turn after Paladin if he attacks before he's knocked out.

Jed my longsword is just a mundane item not even mwk.

Jiggo, correct I have the ghost touched sword, for all the good it's doing me.

"A little help here please." Sumil mutters as his mind is continuously assaulted. His sword fails to connect with his foe and his head begins to fill with irrational thought.

If you roll another 4 on wis damage and Sumil is out for the count.

Sumil continues his fight against the green spectre, his mind and body finally adjust and he swings, sure that he'll hit this time.

Sumil is taken back by the assault to his mental faculties and fails to hit with another swing of his sword.

Failing to realize that his companions are in danger until Jiggo takes hold of him, Sumil snaps out of his revery and narrows his eyes at the Paladin.

"I will deal with you after I take care of these ghosts, yes?"

Just a reminder that Jiggo, Jed and I will either need to be attacked, or shaken awake by an ally, otherwise we're useless for up to 6 rounds.

Sumil knows a little more about what they're about to face, unfortunately his explanation of their abilities is cut off as he becomes inexplicably fascinated and is unable to keep his thoughts in order.

I hope someone passes to shake us all free. Geeze.

When Seren voices her suspicions about their companion, Sumil eye's him suspiciously but doesn't say anything, as they continue on and find the bodies of the previous Pathfinders, the Occultist frowns as Jed reveals how they died.

"You use a longsword, yes?" He asks the Paladin, wondering if they had perhaps rescued the wrong man. Unsure if a fight is coming or not, Sumil casts lead blades on himself, but doesn't draw his new ghost touched blade just yet.

2nd two look good to me

As far as I can tell Seren only asked one question, and it was before we all agreed so idk if it even counts but I think we still have 2 questions

"I believe, Seren, that there is only one Orb of Stars. That is a good question though, perhaps we should also ask if there are any other spectres or enemies in our path. And maybe of she can cure our Paladin here of the affliction that prevents him from communicating."

"Yes, I know this tune I think, it is very haunting and beautiful." Sumil hums a few bars poorly and smiles, but does not join in as the others perform.

K. Arcana: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

"Hold on sir!" Sumil says as the Paladin reaches for the sword. "You are still injured, and this ghost touched blade might do better in my hands, so I am more able to protect you. Here, take my blade for the time being, yes?"

If the Paladin does not argue or seem offended, Sumil will wield the +1 Ghost Touched blade until they exit the Gloomspires. Before everyone moves on he collects some of the goo. "This may be useful for anyone else they send here, I think. Though it needs to be refined."

Finally, Sumil moves forward with the rest of the party. GM I am trained in K. Planes if that is helpful for navigation in the future, I noticed I was not included in the navigation rolls for it.

As the brooding tune surrounds them, Sumil finds himself humming along. So involved in the music, he does not recognize the Celedons until Jeb points them out.

"Are we in danger of them attacking us? Making them explode turns them to husks, yes? Are they less dangerous in this form? Should we force them to explode?" The occultist looks to the rest to help him make the decision.

K Religion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 To cause crisis of faith if the party decides that is a good choice.

One down, Sumil moves toward the final enemy in sight and hacks at this one too, quietly grunting as he slashes into it.

Having succeeded with his fire spell Sumil takes up sword and shield again and slices into the blue creature in front of him, hoping to cleave his way through the rest soon enough.

"Thanks for the opening Jiggo!" He shouts as he attacks.

Sumil's studious mind manages to throw off whatever enchantment tried to effect him and he takes stock of the battle field. Instead of engaging in melee right away, the occultist takes a five foot step back and fires a gout of flame at the two closest enemies.

Sumil also casts light as the party continues on toward the spiral staircase. He raises and eyebrow as Seren explains how her ghosts work and he shrugs.

"I have studied the lingering effects of the spirit and ghosts on items but I have never met someone constantly afflicted with their presence. " He tries to keep his scholarly interest in check however, made easy by his hatred of the Gloomspires.

"I hope whoever chopped this door down does not want to swing at us, yes?" He says as he creeps forward.

"Without toes, standing is difficult, yes, we may not want him limping before us, an easy target. But if he can draw a map, or point us where to go, that will be enough I think."

Sumil frowns, wishing he'd studied linguistics as a young man along side his paranormal studies. "None of your ghosts can speak this language either Seren? I had hoped they would provide some insight."

"I know many languages but the one he speaks is not one of them." Sumil says with a frown, wondering if they have any other way to comprehend the man.

"I wonder if he understands us at least. I should think a Pathfinder would know common, yes?"

Spell Craft vs White Potions: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

"These are weak curative potions. They will come in handy." Sumil says as he pockets one and holds the other three up for the party.

"Perhaps we can use one on our Paladin friend, yes? If you are unable to rouse him otherwise."

So, I'm getting married on Friday, and will likely be MIA starting from tomorrow night at the Rehearsal dinner and probably until Monday morning when we return. Feel free to bot me when needed.

Sumil will make liberal use of his knowledge skills when needed, he defaults to melee combat for the most part.

Sumil attempts another strike and praises his companions, too preoccupied with his fight to figure out what the spell cast was.

"Good job with the pirate! Leave this one to me and get the rest!"

Sumil scowls at the man who tried to hit him and attempt to retaliate with a blow of his own but he still can't judge the mists.

"I have forgotten how much I loathe the Gloomspires." He says angrily.

As the sailor in front of him draws his weapon, Sumil raises his shield and swings low with his longsword. Unfortunately he can't quite see through the mist and all he does is cut air.

"I agree with Serena. There is no good in dealing with the likes of this man, yes? We must defend this man before he loses more toe and heal his wounds."

Sumil begins approaching with his sword drawn as Korez begins his spell.

"The Gloomspires are awful enough, yes? Without bringing pain and misery on each other. Must you really be hacking at this man?"

Diplo Aid: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16

Sumil looks at Jiggo with a frown and nods.
"I did meet some natives. They were called the Flesheaters, yes? Cannibals, who tried to bite at our skin, I do not want to meet them again." He sighs and keeps one hand low near his longsword.

"But we should follow these tracks, I think. They might be from our colleagues, and if they are not, maybe we can make our return trip a little safer."

"I can show you how we used the Orb last time, but if they have it in their possession now, it is not working correctly, I think." Sumil says to Bed.

"Maybe they are just not using it correctly."

An Osirian man in clothing full of clashing colors that surround his scale mail comes stumbling from his cabin looking grim and more than a little sick. He stumbles toward the Venture Captain and gives the barest of waves. The fetishes and occult charms hanging from his gear clatter in the wind as he listens to the mission details.

Sumil holds a colorful handkerchief to his mouth as the boat rocks, his dark skin seems to pale as the sea sickness threatens to take him, but he swallows hard and speaks.

"This is the second time, Benarry, that you have sent me to collect this Orb of Stars, yes?" He coughs a moment and continues. "I was successful last time, I think I did not deserve to be sent here again. The Flesheaters were enough of a trial, no? Now I must go in there again? What has Sumil al'Yza done to anger you so?"

When he's done grumbling, Sumil recounts what he remembers of the Gloomspires, pulling from memory of the last time he was here, and explaining often how he was a member of the crew that had already recovered the Orb. His inability to handle ocean travel however seems to have affected his memory though and he does not remember as much as he did even the last time he was in the Gloomspires on assignment.

When I signed up, I had not actually realized this was a sequel to Hall of the Flesh Eaters. I don't know if it'll come up, but this PC does have a Chronicle for that Adventure, and I also have a boon that gives me a +2 on Perception to Discover traps and hidden objects in Gloomspires.

Sigh...I waited so long for my combat turn, figures I'd be too late.

"Good job Haska!" Sumil says, exhausted but glad to have survived the fight.

With the zombies gone, he searches through the clerics belongings, to see if he can find some reasoning for her attack.

Not to burst your bubble John, but fatigue effects Dex as well.
Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 3 damage

Sumil stiffles another yawn and moves in toward the cleric.
"You are a disgrace! You have desecrated a sacred ritual. We should have noticed soon, my friends, but we will correct this now I think."

He lifts his sword and swings it with what little energy he can muster.

Sword: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 - 1 = 151d8 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 - 1 = 5

AC:16 (Fatigue). 14/17 HP 3 NL

I believe Jon was healed for 6 earlier, so his damage should be a little lower.

No longer trusting anyone at this funeral, Sumil eyes the cleric suspiciously, trying to read her to ill intent.

"How many rose from the graves? Are we enough to stop them or should we get assistance?"

Sumil, for the non-lethal damage? i can wand you. Johnn, you too if you like.

More for the fatigue, I can wand myself but am not overly worried about 3 NL. Famous last words

Sumil looks over the coin, but for all his knowledge of religions, he doesn't seem to recall the significance, or how it relates to Metella.

"I have a sword, and can cast a few fire spells as well, so I am equipped for the fight against more undead, I think. I just wish I had someway to regain my energy." Sumil says, neck straining as he stifles a yawn. "Quickly, we must get to the bottom of this, let us go to the graveyard, yes?"

Sumil sheathed his sword and rushes to Temel to see how he is doing.

"How are you? Are you able to move with us to safety?"

Sumil attempts another attack against the Zombie, but his exhaustion seems to finally be getting the better of him. With a poor swing he starts circling around the zombie, hoping to get into a flanking position her and Jon can take advantage of.

Sumil works his way around his friends, trying to intercept the Zombie nearest Temel now that the assassin has been taken care of.

"Giovanni, how is he? Do you have a wand to use on him? Use mine if he needs healing, it is my fault the window was opened."

Sumil is still exhausted, but his guilt about being implicit in the current situation push him forward and he slashes at the zombie with his sword.
