"They didn't fare as well as we did."

Well, we can't explore under the city till we have someplace safe to put the bird-horse. I say we go into the ship, since we're here anyways.

I still think the enemy survivors are our biggest problem right now. I can't see any down here. Should we try to pursue them or try and find a way off of this city?"

Stephen is thrown forward of the bow as the ship impacts the island. He does his best to tuck and roll, but mostly just ends up sliding gracelessly along the ground on his shield. He doesn't seem injured, and the other ship doesn't seem to be in sight. Checking his immediate surroundings for any threats, he makes his way towards the voice.

I agree. When yall say "pirate" are you talking about the Han Solo type of "pirate" or the chaotic evil type of pirate?

A tall man stands at the bow of the ship, steadying himself on the railing and looking rather calm considering the circumstances. He doesn't appear to carry any weapon, just a large shield. He's handsome, with short blond hair and a powerful build. He carries himself like a soldier, always looking around for some unseen threat.

Stephen glimpses something as the ship plummets through the clouds. That's an odd place to put a city.

If birds sit on the gate it's probably OK." Like the Blot, Stephen isn't concerned with the gate. But maybe all the reports of infernal forces in the city have something to do with it. He'd have to research it further.

"Thanks. I'm Steve." He takes a seat, dropping his pack, shield, and cloak behind him and leans towards Ederin. "Devil game?" That sounds like a hell of a good time. Hah!" Stephen groans internally. He hates puns. "I'd like to see someone try and cheat me. Even a devil." He slams his large fists together with a crack. "You all sure are interested in this Silver Goblin, sounds like you're all goin' there and your friends are already there. That all there is to do in this town? "Hah!" Stephen exclaims. "Would you have? The mosq-eagle was bigger than you!" He then claps Turt on the shoulder and grins. "Thank you, thank you, but I've been traveling for quite some time and was really hoping for some cold water. I guess I'll take warm water." He drinks his water slowly, contemplating the things the others are saying around him. He doesn't care about the Blot, that's far beyond his scope of knowledge and pay grade. "The Blot is fine, I don't see what everyone is worried about. Think about it! The Blot lives in the sky. Birds live in the sky. The birds would know if it was bad and would leave. But I just saw a bird murdered by a mosq-eagle, so they obviously haven't left. Q-E-D, the Blot is fine." His grin indicates he is immensely pleased with his logic. I’d love to play in this, I’m really interested in things that lie deep below the surface of Golarion. I’d like to submit this character. He was built for a Tears at Bitter Manor campaign that sadly died before it finished. He was a lot of fun to play and I’ve been looking for another opportunity to do that. He’s been de-leveled to one, and since we’re starting at level one I’ve changed his backstory to make him a fresh recruit, trying to become an Eagle Knight. I haven’t linkified everything, but I put descriptions next to abilities and stuff for now. Let me know if you have any questions. I chose a lot of stuff outside of sources you specifically listed, I don’t think anything super exotic but let me know if anything doesn’t jive. Mechanically he’ll never be a super-powerhouse. I’m building him pretty much for the Captain Andoran flavor so he won’t be a good candidate for nuke tag. But he stood his ground well enough in the TABM campaign. I already have the players guide so I already worked the trait I chose into Caps background.

I’ll add more background and stuff later. Just wanted to get an initial submission in.

=======================================================================
A very tall, broad shouldered figure enters the pub and shakes the rain from brown and green cloak tightly wrapped around his body. He stands at the entryway for a few moments, his piercing blue eyes taking in the room. He immediately notices the rather odd collection of races present, but nothing looks immediately dangerous.
Guess cities like this attract all types. Relax, it's just a pub and you're not supposed to look like a soldier anyways.
The man visibly relaxes and pulls off his hood and the scarf he was using to keep the mosquitos from his face to reveal a handsome, blonde young man.
"I swear I just saw a mosquito the size of an eagle kill an eagle the size of an eagle. This place is crazy!" He makes his way to the bar and leans heavily on it. "Sorry for taking so much space." He says to no one in particular as he indicates his pack and the large shield that was keeping the rain off it. "Haven't found a place to stay yet. Just got here. Good sir, do you have anything colder than the ambient temperature to...well!" Stephen pretends to notice for the first time the people gathering in the pub. "Is your clientele always this...varied?"

I started playing in a PBP Tears at Bitter Manor game almost a year ago, but it fell apart once we hit level six. I'd love to give it another go. Here's Captain Andoran. I'll de-level him and make a couple changes and post his updated build. Mutagenic Mauler/Shield Champion.
