I would love to be involved with something like this. I will definitely be submitting something if recruitment takes off.

Yeah Misty I imagine this campaign will lead us out into the world and while Sobrian initially leaves to protect his family’s potential future, once he is out and about he will be keeping an ear out for word of a cure and a way to bring it home with him.

After looking through the player's guide I thought this looked like a lot of fun. I would like to submit this character idea.

Name: Sobrian Kommin
Race: Human
Class: Rogue (Acrobat Archtype)
Primary Role: Frontliner

Background:
Sobrian came from a family of entertainers. He was a second generation Wayfarer, growing up on the Wayfarer Theater and raised by loving parents who watched with pride as their only son followed in their footsteps as a high-flying acrobat. Sobrian loved the life and stayed onboard the ship through his adolescent years and well into adulthood.

By the age of 32, he had married (a beautiful half-elf and fellow Wayfarer named Tiyara) and had a talented 8 year old daughter, Seffanry. His bloodline of performers persisted and Seffanry took to the air at such a young age and seemed to soak up every lesson he gave to her. Unfortunately, her obvious skill and her father's overconfidence in those skills would lead to tragedy. Performing at a height she had no right to be at, Seffanry fell into a faulty net and fractured her spine. Not only would she never flip through the air again, but she would require crutches to even move about on he ground for the rest of her life.

Though life on the Wayfarer Theater was all he ever knew, Sobrian let his wife talk him into leaving the ship after the accident. A combination of fear that another accident would leave Seffanry without a father and the fact that every time he would perform it would be akin to a slap in the face for his daughter, who had absolutely loved her training, drove Sobrian and his family inland. They now travel to Tiyara's family lands in Shahalesti, hoping to start a new life in the land of the elves, though traveling with a cripple has been rough and they think to stay in Gate Pass for a season before traveling the final leg of their journey.

Sobrian and his family are going to be pretty upset coming inland just as all the commotion and talk of war starts. I imagine he will participate in the adventure to defend his new home and try to procure a better life for his family.

As far as mechanics go, I think maybe steering for the shadowdancer prestige class down the road but starting out I just imagine him as flipping around beating people with a quarterstaff, though his days as a performer will manifest in higher charisma so he could also perhaps be the face man of the group.

Anyway thanks for your consideration and let me know if I can provide any more information.

Hey just a heads up, Bishop's theme is spacefearer. You have it listed as "star shaman" on the application sheet which is actually his mystic connection. I don't know if it matters but I wanted to keep it straight and cause less confusion since we are all learning the new rules and terms. ;)

Dot

Bishop, Ysoki Mystic (Star Shaman)

background:

1. Bishop grew up a nomad in a traveling caravan on Akiton where he learned self sufficiency.
2. When Bishop was young his caravan was caught in the middle of a gang war and ended up completely burned to the ground. There was a handful of survivors and Bishop's Uncle Scut was now his only living relation. Bishop and his uncle moved to the city as his uncle was too old to rebuild and start anew on the road.
3. Bishop's uncle was a mystic who drew his power from the stars and the great cosmos. Scut noticed Bishop's love for being under the stars and saw an opportunity to pass on his knowledge to his kin. Bishop quickly soaked up his uncle's teachings and made an easy connection to the power of the stars.
4. Scut passed from old age. Bishop had all his worldly possessions packed up with him at the funeral and went straight to the space docks from the funeral to seek an escape from Akiton.
5. Bishop spent a year employed on a large cargo ship captained by a shirren, T'suru. He started out as a clerk, tracking inventory aboard the ship, but upon witnessing and being impressed by Bishop's mystic powers T'suru gave him more and more responsibility until he was second-in-command aboard the vessel.
6. While employed on this ship Bishop fell in love with a fellow ysoki crewmate, Fena. The feeling frightened him and he jumped ship at the next stop. He has bounced from location to location since.

goals:

1. In his travels, Bishop has encountered several Starfinders and is interested in one day traveling to the Lorespire Complex and joining their ranks, though not until he feels he is better qualified. Every Starfinder he has met has seemed a kindred soul and though he has always been a loner he suspects being a Starfinder will be the best way to serve a greater good and still retain his nomadic lifestyle and freedom.
2. Seek a better understanding of his powers. He suspects his uncle even only had a meager understanding of the true power of the cosmos.

secrets:

1. Bishop's wanderlust actually rubbed off on Fena and she has joined the Starfinder Society since Bishop left.
2. The thought of being tied down to one location frightens Bishop irrationally. He never expects to be in any one spot very long and avoids commitments that could keep him from leaving when he wants.

people:

1. Vin Drat, a space pirate who Bishop had serveral run-ins with aboard T'suru's ship and always thwarted, mostly thanks to Bishop and the advantage his powers give. She knows Bishop left T'suru's crew and has been seeking him out, thinking him to be vulnerable alone and looking for revenge.
2. T'suru, the shirren captain who gave Bishop employment on her ship and the opportunity to leave Akiton. T'suru left Bishop an open invitation to come back to her ship anytime.
3. Fena, a pilot who Bishop fell pretty deeply in love with. She spoke of settling down with him somewhere quiet and the thought scared Bishop. He left her without an explanation.

memories:

1. The stars as he slept under the night sky on the plains in Akiton.
2. The flames engulfing his first home and screams of his friends and family.
3. The face and delicate voice of his first love, Fena.

I have his stats over half done and will be able to post them soon.

I would love to get in on this. I have been picking through the core rulebook and I am really excited to try it out. With all the exciting new material it will be hard to narrow down what I would want to play but I was going to try building some characters anyway to get a feel for things. I will put one together according to your requirements and If this takes off great, if not I will know what I am doing a little better for next time.

4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 3) = 8 -1 = 7
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 5) = 16 -2 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 5) = 9 -1 = 8
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 5) = 10 -1 = 9
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 1) = 9 -1 = 8
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 4) = 13 -1 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 3) = 12 -1 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6, 1) = 16 -1 = 15

15,14,12,11,9,8. I guess it could be worse but I will make it work and try to have something submitted to you soon.

I am working on a dwarven rogue. Should have it together soon. I could switch to fill another role if necessary as well.

4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4, 1) = 9 = 8
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 5) = 16 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 6, 5) = 17 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 2) = 12 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 5) = 18 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 1, 6) = 13 = 12

Hello! I played some Pathfinder pbp years ago and was really wanting to get back into it. This seems like a great place for that if you'd have me.
