Standarii is a bit stunned at everything going on around them, but acknowledges that this is just how life can be, sometimes, among groups like the Aspis Consortium. They make sure the others are alive and healthy enough to go their own separate ways, before following their own path to Absalom.

Good playing with you all, despite our dice! Thank you for the game, GM!

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Standarii calls out in agreement with Carnelian. "We are in complete agreement!"

The conrasu takes a step, then uses Lay on Hands on Athelsted:

Restore 12 Hit Points (ally gains +2 status bonus to AC for 1 round)

Then they try to lash out at the barrel with their asp coil

Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
(...maybe inanimate objects have a lower AC than anything else? Not likely given how this one is going for all of our dice...)
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

---

(↺) Next round: They'll use their reaction for Retributive Strike to protect the most injured party member (preference for Athelsted this round if there are multiple allies hit) and take a strike if possible, posted below in advance:

Resist 5 plus:
+1 Disruptive Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Sigh. My d20s continue as before.

Standarii will go over to the barrel and open it, not wanting to let any of their team to suffer if this one is also dangerous or embarrassing in any way.

Go ahead, hit me! :P

Standarii continues to....stand...guard. This makes them contemplate how this is almost exactly what the Aspis Consortium tasked them with doing when they first awakened not far from Bloodcove, and how they got their name to begin with...

The conrasu would take 10 minutes to use their Sunlight Healing and Rite of Light to heal the worst injured person 2d8, and then make liberal use of refocus and lay on hands actions to aid the rest.

Following this...

Standarii has no clue what any of these things are, and despite the odor, tries to breathe it all in. "After what we found in the last container...would this qualify as a breath of fresh air?"

GM, see my last post with my reaction. If the 16 was not a hit, I'll use my last hero point to reroll that attack since I got a 19 on the flat check. Also, Carnelian had an AC of 22 from Lay on Hands + Shield (not that it mattered with that last attack roll).

If their reaction is triggered but the attack misses, I guess I'll use my final hero point to reroll that attack with a +1 from a paizo shirt. If by some chance the enemy is revealed, they'll attack instead of seek, but even with +10 those above rolls will probably miss. Ty in advance, GM.

Standarii has no idea what's going on, but since they were opening the crate they likely had to put their weapons away. As such they drop their crowbar and spend 2 actions drawing their Asp Coil (◆) and Shield (◆), and then will Raise Shield (◆) since they can't detect anything.

Note that if an ally within 15 feet of Standarii is damaged by an enemy within 15 feet of them, they will use Retributive Strike to give the ally resistance 5 vs. the triggering damage, and if the enemy is within 10 feet, will give Standarii a chance to strike with their reach weapon (which is Disruptive by default via the Champion Blade Ally ability since there was nothing in the briefing suggesting that their other option - Ghost Touch - would be a good choice for today).

Aspis Consortium Lore?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

The conrasu seems quite cheery looking around after Aayah departs. "We are glad to be back here. This was the first city we encountered after the Aspis agents awakened us to our current body while they" (air quotes) "liberated the contents of that temple in the Mwangi Expanse!"

Joining all of you here is a rather strange "person" - looking like someone wrapped a suit of armor around a collection of thick vines that then grew mostly straight upwards through it nearly six and a half feet tall, but with limbs enough to carry a large steel shield bearing a stylized spiral upon it. On the being's other side is a very strange looking sword that appears to be able to separate into elongated segments.

Nestled at the neck of the armor is an orb, so dark purple it's almost black, flecked with tiny pinpricks of light. You can only really tell when it's looking at you because it awkwardly wears a steel helmet as part of its plate armor kit, so when it rotates some 200-degrees around to look at you, you know you have its attention.

The orb creates a pleasant hum and soft warble whenever it speaks.

"Greetings. We are Standarii, and we are pleased to meet you! We have worked for the Aspis Consortium before, and hope that there will be significantly fewer conflicts than during our previous experiences."

They then remain relatively silent, taking in everyone else's questions.

Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Critical Specialization: The target is made off-balance by your attack, becoming flat-footed until the start of your next turn.

If it was only one stride to get down, they would raise their shield.

GM:
So, I'm a moron. I was working on 7 things at once when I made my last post and rolled crafting on the actuator that required engineering lore, which my PC does not have ><

I'm correcting that this round, but your call on what to do about the western one. Since I rolled a 19, maybe it was an untrained lore check? That result would have been a total of 20 in that case.

Very sorry about this.

Standarii goes to help with the southern actuator.

Standarii runs to the western-most actuator, trying to put things back into place?

Standarii makes sure their gear is set, and joins the others, trying to sit in the middle of the boat to maintain its center of gravity, with it being encased in plate armor and such.

Spending any sunny day on deck is a rather strange "person" - looking like someone wrapped a suit of armor around a collection of thick vines that then grew mostly straight upwards through it nearly six and a half feet tall, but with limbs enough to carry a large steel shield bearing a stylized spiral upon it.

The orb creates a pleasant hum and soft warble whenever it speaks, which hasn't been often during this voyage. It does so now, however, as everyone gathers on-deck together.

"We find this seaborne weather to be quite enjoyable. It reminds us of the place of our awakening, some years ago in Bloodcove."

"We are Standarii, and we are pleased to meet you!"

As the last one to the table, I notice everyone else has set their marching order with the rogues in front. Standarii would prefer to be just behind them so they can help protect said rogues with their champion's reactions if possible, but I didn't want to move anyone else's token around without permission.

Standarii uses Lay on Hands on Quickblade (+12 hp and +2 AC for one round), then strides around the obstacles to end up behind Khagra, before swinging their asp coil at the last opponent.

+1 Disruptive Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

Standarii will begin by trying to reach out and Strike Blue:

+1 Disruptive Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

If Elixia is still unconscious, he will take a step towards her and Lay on Hands (15 hp).

If she is awake (looks likely thanks to Luciola), he will continue to press the attack on Blue. If Blue goes down after the first attack, he will stride (path shown with green arrow) to set up a flank on Green and strike again.

+1 Disruptive Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 10 - 5 = 23
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

If Blue goes down after the second attack, he will stride (path shown with green arrow) to set up a flank on Green for next round.

+1 Disruptive Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 - 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 - 10 = 7
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Standarii sees several of their allies being hit hard and doesn't think they can do anything to stop the cleric from being taken down, so they use retributive strike on Quickblade (resist 5 to the general mayhem damage) -

GM - Is it possible to use my Champion's Reaction vs. the general mayhem/bar fight? Mechanics posted below. If yes, Standarii would use this to try and keep our healer/cleric of Calistria standing. If not, ignore their 2nd/3rd actions below, as they will instead stride to stand between Elixia and blue, then lay on hands (12 hp) on her.

Retributive Strike (↺)
Trigger: An enemy damages your ally, and both are within 15 feet of you.
Effect: You protect your ally and strike your foe. The ally gains resistance to all damage against the triggering damage equal to 2 + your level (5). If the foe is within reach, make a melee Strike against it.

Standarii's code forbids them from caring about baubles when lives are at risk. They lash out at yellow!

Disruptive Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

If yellow is still standing, they will continue to strike. Otherwise they swing at blue. (GM see note above, though. Ty!)

Disruptive Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (12) + 10 - 5 = 17
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
