Hello- My group is starting red hand of doom soon, and i thought i'd at least post up my thoughts if anyone wants to chime in feedback-wise. I have 5 players at level 5: witch, investigator, swashbuckler, barbarian, cleric My current plan is to run the intial encounter as written just with hobgoblin soliders (level 1), hobgoblin archer (level 4) and an adjusted statblock of archer for the cleric plus hell hounds. if it's too much I can decrease the second wave or omit it entirely. My other thought down the line is using a Siabrae for the Ghostlord.
Pretty new DM here, and most of the group while experienced have limited or no 2e experience. We are going with out of the beginners box, and troubles in otari which should get us familiar with rules differences. I have access to the gamemastery book, and I figure on mostly pulling from npcs and archives of nethys for the bulk If people can give me top advice on conversion from 3.5 or has already done rhod conversion specifically if you can link or point me in the right direction. Or any general tips to know about 2e versus 1e, 3.5 or 5e Thanks.
Trying to limit mostly to core rulebook only. However, am going to work towards the arcane savant prestige class. Current other party members, fighter, druid, sorcerer, rogue, monk.
Would like suggestions on school specialization (thinking not enchant, or necro, those two would be most likely banned schools) Stat numbers 12, 16, 14, 11, 18, 13 Traits: hedge magician
Hi everyone, looking at creating an 10th level character, and I was wondering if wizard 5/cyphermage 1/savant 4 would be worthwhile, just to pick up the swift scrivener from cpyhermage 1, for the broadest and most worthwhile spell list. feats look like cypher magic at 1, magic aptitude at 3, possibly craft wand, or wondrous item at 5, race would be samarasan, 13,15,13,20,17,15 at first level with mysitc past life. possibly spell penetration/greater spell penetration for level 7/9
waffling on spell choices and would take equipment suggestion. this would be for a skull and shackles-based campaign with a witch, rogue/shadowdancer, fighter (glaive-user) thanks
This look like such a good prc idea. Has anyone one tried it starting about 10th level, so leaning toward cleric 5/arcane savant or i guess the more traditional wizard/savant I would guess wizard has the more traditional option of scribe scroll to take advantage of scroll master more easily. Otherwise the class definitely can add more options which clerics seem to need more than wizards. any advice on builds, thought of even going druid (with domain) but seems to lose a lot more in that case.
Hello, I am looking for help in building and equipping two characters. 1) Level 9 reach cleric : thinking travel and nobility domain. If not nobility, must take leadership at level 7 or 9 2) Level 7 zen archer monk Generally any pathfinder material is good to use, no 3.5 Level 9 gets standard amount book suggests for level 9, the cohort gets 20,000. Skulls and shackles campaign. with a rogue/shadowdancer and a witch Assume at least 25 point buy minimum. Thanks for your help.
so i'm joining a skull and shackles campaign, at level 7. The party has a bard, druid, Looking at this point at building a switch-hitting type character, to fill front line when needed and archery otherwise, or a front-liner with good ranged options. Options considering atm Ranger (7) Ranger(5) Shadowdancer (2) Hunter (7) gunslinger (7) Cleric?, inquisitor? other questions, can any race take the adopted trait and get the human bonus feat?
As late afternoon approaches on a nice, sunny day, the group of you see the walls of a small fort before you, presumably this is Oleg's Trading Post, from which the Lord Mayor recommended you start your exploration of the Stolen Lands. The group has been gathered and granted a charter (you each have a copy), stating the following, Be it so known that the bearer of this charter has been charged by the Swordlords of Restov, acting upon the greater good and authority vested within them by the office of the Regent of the Dragonscale Throne, has granted the right of exploration and travel within the wilderness region known as the Greenbelt. Exploration should be limited to an area no further than 36 miles east and west and sixty miles south of Oleg's Trading Post. The carrier of this charter should also strive against banditry and other unlawful behavior that is encountered. Punishment for unrepentant banditry remains, as always, execution by sword or rope. So Witnessed on this 24th day of Talistril, under watchful eye of the Lordship of Restov and authority granted by Lord Aoleski Surtova, current regent of the Dragonscale Throne. As the group draws closer to the gate, you are seen by a woman, who leaves off what she was doing and comes forward to welcome you. "Welcome to Oleg's Trading Post, please have a seat," she gestures towards a set of tables with a pitcher and some cups, " let me get you something to eat." "Oleg," she says in a much louder voice, we have visitors." You see a middle-aged man climbing down from the roof of a nearby building, from the tools, you'd guess some repairs were underway. "I'm coming, I'm coming," he states, "whaddya want?" OOC: You may or may not know something about Oleg or the stolen lands in general, feel free to make relevant sense motives, knowledges if you desire.

Looking to start running a pbp game with the kingmaker adventure path. You would be submitting a character at level 1, using the pathfinder core rulebook, advanced players guide, and ultimate combat. Anything from ultimate magic, or 3.5 will be considered on a case by case basis. The party will have been hired either individually or as a group, to survey the Stolen Lands, and reduce banditry and anything else preventing successful settlement by the nation of Brevory. In this thread, please propose your character, what you would bring to the party (mechanically and roleplay-wise) and future plans for character development (mechanically and roleplay-wise) I hope to have character ideas submitted in 1 week, and characters completely fleshed out by mid-month. Posting will be daily throughout the week, and at least once on weekends. However, I understand as more holidays approach this may need to be changed. Please post any questions or thoughts. |
