Lol. This is not the shortest life of a PC in this AP, but it may be he quickest self-inflicted death I've ever seen. Kudos for playing your character true to form.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog's Int Rolls:

Int 13: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Int 15: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Int 18: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Sloog starts cackling and pointing at Kraleck, "Ha ha ha! The smarty smart pants master wizard doesn't know it's the Aft, Bow, Port and Starboard, and we swab so we don't sink from the worms! HA! Some smarty pants." He doubles over in laughter, slapping his knees and pointing in hysterics. "'Oogy boogy boo! Look at me, me cast big spells like 'fart' and 'burp' but not know how ship works!!! Fear me; I all powerful wizard wit' big brains!!'"

He grasps his stomach, trying to stop laughing. "Bwahahahah! HA! Ow. It hurt. Haha! Okay... okay... ha! I got it! Put a dunce cap on him and make him tell us more jokes. Day too funny!!! Hahaha!"

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog watches but decides discretion is the better part of valor. Because valor always gets dumb gobos killed. Instead, he waits for an opportunity to try to head to the quartermaster's office that won't attract the ire of Scourge and Plugg.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Ah, I was pretty sure this was dead. Happy to pick it back up though.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Gah. Can't believe I didn't put a point in Prof Sailor. What kind of a roll do you need for a deck swab?

1d20 ⇒ 8

Fortitude DC ??: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Sloog's dedication to his work is questionable but he makes a fair show of it (but perhaps not enough), though his stomach is as mighty as...a mighty stomach. He pours Fishgut's fish guts down his gullet, burps, and starts to ask for more before the crack of the whip.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

The next morning, if he is able, Sloog will quietly head up to the deck and begin working before trying to go to the quartermaster's office to purchase something with the gold he was given. Maybe a dagger will help tonight.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog winces at the sound then runs over to his hammock, tosses himself into it and squeezes his eyes shut.

"ZZZ-Zzzz-ZZzzz-hngGGggh-Ppbhww- zZZzzzZZ..."

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

I cannot believe this. Awesome. Forgot we had a monk.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Carina grabs Scruug's nocturnal "hug"

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Scrugg's attempt to force Sloog into a hug fails miserably, the awake goblin easily sidestepping the unconscious one's grasp. Sloog kicks the other gobbo (gently) and mutters, "Shush, you. Pretty one up deck, need you to hug someone else."

With that, Sloog shrugs and heads back to his hammock...sort of. He also tries to keep an ear to the happenings behind him and see if there is an opportunity for other explorations.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

bwahahahaha. Have fun! ;-) Going to have to think of Sloog's response to this hug. Might have fun with it.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog eyes the shaggy white beast. There is one truth every gobbo knows: bigger wins until you can stab it in the back. The hob was much bigger. And the crew bigger still. But if the others hadn't been noticed...

In Goblin he replies, "I, um...had to, uh... right, back to bed. G'night master hob. Dint mean any trouble."

He turns around and heads back below deck, making no comment or eye contact with the others.

Damn damn. Good luck!

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 Ugh. Fingers crossed.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog shakes his head at the trapdoor to the bilge. Instead, he points towards the stairs towards the upper deck... and that's where he heads. Ive got stealth rolls above but can reroll if you like. Usually if someone is actually asleep it's a big penalty to their perception check.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

<shoots Scruug>

You NOT goblin! :-p

J/k. No worries! Hope you got OT for it.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sneaking rolls, putting up several just in case they're needed
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog goes wide-eyed as Scruug hands him a fistful of shiny baubles. With a glance over both shoulders to make sure nobody sees his new found wealth, he shoves it into his loincloth. Why yes, Sloog have brass balls.

To Raph and Carina, he grins mischievously and nods. Whispering in the shadows, he says to both, "Yes yes, let's go. Maybe find more than just our stuff, but must be quiet so we don't wind up like those two." He gestures towards Scruug and Kraleck.

GM, I guess that means we're going to sneak and try to break into the quartermaster's office. Ah, the bravery/stupidity of goblins.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

GM: what rolls do you need us to make for work, influencing folks, etc? Do you want us to describe daily activities like we just did or handle it another way?

On Day 2 and going forward, I definitely see Sloog sneaking around and exploring but probably not trying to influence anyone (no social skills).

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

So, I just looked at the Campaign Info tab and reviewed the available activities. I think, for Day 1 (particularly after witnessing this lashing), Sloog is going to try to be "sneaky" by working diligent and hopefully avoiding further attention.

Day 1 - Daytime
After the lashing of Scruug and Kraleck, Sloog spends the remainder of the day diligent mopping the same 5' square over and over and over and over and over (and over) again. If anyone starts to give him the evil eye, he briefly moves over into the next 5' square and mops there, maybe rubs a rag over a mast, licks a rope, whatever...
Not sure what you need me to roll as a deck swab, but here is a d20:
1d20 ⇒ 8 +4 from working diligently plus whatever from his stats

Day 1 - Nighttime
However, assuming he isn't fatigued at night, rather than try to sneak or do anything else, he's going to go from bunk to bunk, belonging to the other gobbos he's been "volunteered" with, and whisper to them in Goblin:

"I've spent time on ships before and I think our gear is probably being kept by the quartermaster. I think we should try to get it. Can you pick a lock?"

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Very long memory. Like a gnat! ;-)

I love the idea of a gobbo wizard. Looking forward to seeing him in play.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

*bang*

;-)

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Personally, I'd rather avoid any serious PC-on-PC violence. That's just me, but I've usually found it doesn't end well and can lead to some Very Bad Things in the real fights. And especially in PbP, it just takes up time and distracts from what else we can be doing (potentially derailing things for days if folks just post once/day). And PCs killing other PCs? I've never see that end well.

That said, I put an emphasis on "serious". Some side scuffles as long as it's with a mutual understanding between players, I can see how it would be fun and help develop characters.

But that's just my preference and gobbos are a little different than anything I've done before.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

No worries. I wondered if we were getting a little ahead of ourselves... but we didn't sink the ship (yet)!

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog stops dead in his tracks when so quickly called out by Scourge. He prepares to offer an excuse for skulking away when he realizes the worst of Scourge's fury is directed at the other two gobbos.

This hob is a pile of dung, but I got no way to fight him... Oh well, at least it's not me who's going to get flayed.

Sloog steps up and roughly grabs Kraleck (Scruug seems a little too tough; better let the other gobbos take him) and marches him over to the mast. He quietly whispers to the other gobbo:

@Kraleck:
"Our gear probably with quartermaster. Stop fighting until we get gear, then we kill fat smelly hob."

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog sees the wrestling match break out and gets exactly the same idea as Gnaly. He looks around the deck to see if there are any obvious indications of where his gear might be but, absent that, will simply try to slip back below deck and explore.

Intelligence to recognize opportunity: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Of course I blow the 20 on the int check

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

OOC:
Oh, we're definitely having some social rolling issues in another campaign I'm in... and at 1am, who knows what any of us are thinking.

And Sloog is evil, so don't expect him to be nice to any of you (and certainly not our enemies) but I'm trying to go with a chaotic enough bent that whatever evil he is bent upon in one moment can be easily distracted in the next. And please don't take anything Sloog does in-character as directed at you personally or trying to ruin your game. If you think I step over the line, let me know.

Finally... all of our gobs' charisma scores are appropriately crap, so humor may be the only way to resolve a lot of appropriately-IC tensions.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog starts laughing, a shrill, piercing sound broken only by snorts from his nose. But, through his hysterical convulsions, he manages to grab his bucket, carry it over to Kraleck, and drop it at the gob's feet. "Here you go, Master Wizard Sir! Don't let all the power go to your head! BWAHAHAHAHAH!" He clutches his stomach as the laughing threatens to send him tottering over the railing and into the water.

OOC:
Easy way out for all. And, once Sloog sees actual spells cast, he'll be much nicer to Kraleck... even if his "spells" are a poor imitation of Sloog's "real magic". And yeah... Sometimes I like rolling for intra-party interactions, but intimidate and other coercive stuff can start to remove agency over characters. JMO. I enjoyed this,
though! :-)

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog parries the first of Raph's strikes with a resounding FWOLP of mop against mop, but is then distracted by the showdown between Scruug and Kraleck and is whacked in the face by strings of dirty, sodden mop tendrils. He waves off Raph and points at the other two gobs. "Ooooh. Maybe they're going to fight. We see how Mister Arcane Genius fares in a fight."

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog laughs and shakes his head. "He doesn't do magic. He says he's smart but he just stood there and got whipped by the ugly one." He laughs and shakes his head. "Anyway, you want to see fire? Wait until we find the magic powder for my wand. Makes huge explosions and starts things on fire... like dumb hob's ugly black hair." Sloog whispers the last part.

He then watches Ralph, studies his own mop and bucket, and realizes how stupid this is. Out of the threat of the whip, he forgets about it (his immediately preceding comments forgotten). So, he takes the mop, approaches Raph, then taps his own mop to the other goblin's. "Watch out, longshanks! I'm going to bite your face and eat your foot!" He swings the mop as an awkward quarterstaff, aiming for Raph's head with the sopping wet mass of rotting cloth.

Not trying to do any damage to Raph; just "play jousting"

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog wasn't picking up a mop but, in all honesty, couldn't help cook to save his life. I don't remember the other jobs but aside from climbing, he's got no relevant skills. So...swabbing it is?

Sloog watches Plugg and Scourge amble off then he shrugs, grabs a mop and bucket, and gets to it. This proves very boring, though, so he tries to chat up some other crew in Common.

"Me Sloog. You be...?"
"All dis mopping but still so messy. Dis poop deck? Ha!"
"When we get sausages and fish guts?"

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Leaving a bunch of goblins unsupervised? That seems....wise!!! No worries. :-) The ship will still be here when you get back.

(Who has the matches?)

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog clambers back down to the deck, glances at Kralek and the marks left by the lash, and shrugs. He's not a bright one. Maybe they'll turn him into sausages?

He looks back at Plugg and Scourge, half curious and half wary, waiting for the next task but staying out of reach of Scourge's whip.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog looks through the riggingat Plugg while he talks, then mutters to the nearby gobbos, "Hmm. I guess this means the rest of us...go back down? Too bad. Now I really want a waffle. Eh, maybe they'll have those fishguts the ugly one mentioned." Sloog sighs, his stomach still growling, and begins the descent.

Rolls to get down if you need them:

Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog's stomach rumbles louder than a small goblin's stomach ought to be able. "Mmm. Waffle sounds delicious." He winks at Gnaly, "If we find your holy symbol, maybe we can find my magic wand. It doesn't do a lot of magic, but makes huge booms, like thunder, and spits fire, then makes things explode and kills them." He glances down at Plugg and Scourge. "Like stupid, bossy jerks with no breakfast."

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog eyes Carina through red eyes narrowed to slits. I was supposed to win... Still, she climbed fast. Very fast. Clambering up the last few feet behind her, before the other gobbos make it, he grumbles in Goblin, "You don't see any breakfast, do you? Or...land?"

Sloog looks around the horizon to see if there is any land in sight.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Coming to the same conclusion as Carina, he grumbles and curses. As the rest of the gobbos arrive, he waves down at them. "Sloog. Welcome to the high seas. Anyone see breakfast? Or grog? I have a terrible headache and the idiot with the whip didn't seem to know anything about food."

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog watches Harrigan and listens to Mr. Plugg and finds himself disappointed as he rubs his tummy. So, I guess that means no sausages. Damn.

Still, the challenge laid before them touches one of Sloog's childhood memories of swinging through the trees near the longshanks' village, hunting for smaller longshanks and their "pets", those damned dogs. Mmm. Roast dog. I swear they promised sausages. Maybe if I climb this, I'll get some breakfast. Or grog. Something for this headache.

Deprived of his weapons and clearly outclassed by the bigger gobbos, fighting doesn't even occur to Sloog.

OOC @ GM and my rolls:

I'm just going to give you a series of rolls here; not sure how many you'll need. Sloog's speed is 30'. Sloog is going to watch out for others cheating and if he thinks someone is cheating he will, too, but his primary focus is just on getting up.
climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Perception to watch for cheating: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Sloog moves nimbly and quickly up the nets and ropes like he was born to them, mostly oblivious to the other gobbos in the ropes with him. As they near the top and Gnaly goes tumbling, Sloog pauses briefly to point and laugh. "That's not how you get down! Hahahahaha!"

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Glad he's going to be fine. Dehydration can sneak up on ya. We also have trouble getting our little guy to drink juice or water, so it's a challenge when he's having issues.

This may be an odd question but for the sake of consistency...are we assuming that everyone is currently defaulting to speaking in Goblin and, while speaking Goblin, we're writing speech in a fairly normal/conventional syntax? I was going for a sort of pigeon English but realize that's probably in the context of Common.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Oh man. Sorry to hear it. Take care of your family and best wishes for a quick recovery. Been there. It gets better but is still awful while going through it.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Sloog glances around the hold as he scratches at his peg leg. Even though he has no feeling there, it's a hard habit to break. Scritch. Scritch. Scritch.

No weapons. No armor. But no bonds, either. Looking around, he sees the other gobs also seemingly as confused as he is. Dis strange. Me back on boat but not old boat and dis not old crew. And goat is gone. Too bad. Goat and I had fun.

And then the hobgoblin arrives with more pirates behind him. Sloog doesn't recognize him and isn't well oriented just yet. He gets up and ambles over towards the hob, one foot, one peg leg--slap, crack, slap, crack--trying to rub the pounding of his head. "Sloog like sausage. Maybe help with hammer in head. Eat fish guts, too."

Int check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

*bang*

Also, I'm starting a new job tomorrow, which will either mean no ability to post until the evening, or a lot of downtime in the afternoon while I go through paperwork.

Male Goblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 15, t15, fl11 | Fort+3, Ref+3, Will+2 | CMD 13 | Init +4 | Perception +6 (Darkvision 60')

Woot! Thanks. I'll get my alias for Sloog properly setup tonight or tomorrow morning. Can't wait!

Have fun in Paris. (Start some fires for us!)

Also, can I say I'm simultaneously hugely relieved I'm not the object of Scrugg's affection... while ridiculously looking forward to seeing it in action. >:-)
