Submitting Sir Gavin for consideration backstory:
Gavin was born a bastard to his lovely mother Sabrina. Sabrina was part of a traveling troop that put on performances for nobles around the land. One day she found herself in Brevoy, where she bedded down with Titus Aldori. Titus was Part of House Aldori and on his way to becoming a Sword Lord of Brevoy. Sabrina never thought much about the man and never told Gavin much either. She did the best she could with young Gavin and raised him as a performer like her. Gavin was very gifted in the art of dance and as he got older outshined some of the other performers. This brewed animosity amongst the others, and like envy often does, lead to violence. Gavin was beaten pretty severely as he was not a strong boy at all. Sigmund came to the boy’s aid in the beating and ran the others off. Sigmund was a performer as well and new Gavin’s mother. Sigmund happened to be a sword dancer, and as Gavin healed Sigmund would come visit and talk to the boy about learning the art. Gavin healed and started his study of the sword dance.
Gavin’s excellence in dance let him adapt and learn the art quickly. He was only approached by the jealous boys one other time. He left the boys with some permanent reminders on their cheeks that made them leave young Gavin alone for good. It was only a year later that Sabrina became deathly ill. The troop was on the road and they had no healer capable of helping her. Sabrina not knowing if she would make it to the next city decided to tell Gavin of his father. Sabrina didn’t have a lot of details, just that he was a noble man of house Aldori and he lived in Brevoy. These were among Sabrina’s last words. Gavin was crushed and didn’t understand why his mother told him of his father now. Gavin stayed with the troop until they came back around Brevoy. Gavin was now 14 and decided to find his father. After asking around a bit he got an address. Servants greeted the boy at the door and asked him to come in and have a seat. The house was large and very nice. Gavin sat waiting as a tall fit man came down the stairs. “Hello there young man, you asked to see me. I’m Lord Titus Aldori. What can I do for you?” Gavin not knowing what to say just managed to mumble out. “I’m your son, Sir” Titus a bit taken back say’s “I’m sorry… You must be mistaken.” Gavin told the man of his mother and how they met. Hearing this Titus believed the boy and took him in. After getting to know each other a bit Titus wanted to access Gavin to see if he too could follow his steps and become a Sword Lord. Seeing some promise in young Gavin, Titus enrolled him in the Aldori dueling School. Gavin took to the school well and put his own style into the sword art besting the other boys with fineness not strength. Now 10 years have passed and Gavin is now a young man. Titus is quite busy with the preparations for potential war and doesn’t have much time for Gavin. Gavin now not having much direction and only wanting to impress his father performs at the local taverns for some extra coin waiting for something. It was the charter that was his destiny. At least that was his thought at first reading the Charter for the Stolen Lands. I will conquer these lands. I will help the city. That will prove to my father I am ready. Gavin would wait now and perform taking notice in others that took interest in the charter. He knew he needed a team. He knew he couldn’t do it alone. appearance:
Gavin is a lean build handsome man. He stands over six feet and looks athletic. He wears nice clothing and usually something in blue. He has dark black hair and baby blue eyes that seem to look through you. He wears a sword on his hip. He has knee high boots and blue cape that drapes over his shoulder. His face is clean shaven and he keeps quite clean and usually smell nice. Concept: Gavin is a take on the sword lords of brevoy, Overall the build will look something like this. DDBard 1, MoMSM 2, Hospitaller Paladin 14. He will be melee type and support. He will only be missing 2 BAB, but the bardic performance makes up for that. His AC will be ok and he will have the crane style and the crane wing and be able to deflect an attack and eventually riposte. He will also be able to support in the healing once he gets into hospitaller. The second monk level is not a definite it would just be to get the riposte quicker. Build I think will be level 1 bard, 2pal, 3mon, 4 and on pal, with a possible monk level. Won’t be able to offer much arcane support besides for wands. Skills should be decent, only problem will be trap finding, but good luck finding a rogue with that with all the variants that give it up.
No, you do want crane style. If your just dipping one level. Dip master of many styles and take Crane Style as your level 5 feat and crane wing as your monk bonus. Sell/trade your shield for a +1 buckler and you get all the goodness for only a -1 to AC but now you get a free deflect. That way if you decide on another level you can pick up the repost as well.
Sir Gavin's hat is in the ring. Will adjust his wealth equipment and trait/feats tonight. I'm at work and can't access all I need. I would prefer Gavan over Tristan but I just wana play Kingmaker :). Gavin will be taking level 2 in paladin, and level 3 in monk then back to paladin. I may take another level of monk, or may go back into bard at some time but he will basically be a dervish dance paladin

I propose a festival with grand games. The festival should be in celebration of our great kings life, and a yearly occurrence to remember him. Festivals can bring a great deal of commerce to the community as well as pride in ones kingdom. The festival games will be open to all. We will hold contest in the fields of poetry, dance, song, food, brewing, artistry, archery, running, boxing, the sword, the lance, horsemanship. Sword and Lance will be limited to those with training for safety. At the end there will be a grand parade of champions for the city to admire. The winners will also receive a prize of notoriety that they may posses for the year only to bring back and defend for the next year. The festival should be a week long. I will also ask the artisan's to open their doors and teach. Classes will be offered for those that wish to learn a new skill and possibly obtain an apprenticeship. Noble Council if you give me your support I will start the machine and put this into works.

Greetings unto thee and the council. I am Sir Gavin. Heir to the throne of Gabel. I submit myself to the test of the council and seek the crown through right of arms and by blood. Gavin leaps and flourishes forward off the bench making a grand gesture and ending in a kneel before the speaker as he proclaims his intent.

Sir Gavin enters the great hall.
Sir Gavin stands a tall 6'4". He has dark black hair and deep blue eyes. He wears lovely royal blue trained jacket with gold buttons and trimmed in white. He has white linen pants and boots to match. He has a white leather belt with beautifully tooled leather sheath for his exquisite blade. There is a glint of silver that can be seen around the neckline, and a slight jingle that you assume is armor. Knowledge Nobility on the other two.
