hmm...its an interesting idea, though I agree with Masato. Early levels HP is so low, that a crit can knock most people unconscious, as can a tough weapon or a really good spell. healing does such a small amount early on, it takes a few rounds to get a character conscious or even to half HP. Also, it does severely affect some classes over others, making going unconscious even worse than it already is for low fort classes.

ok, never used sleep spell before, does it affect allies?
sleep spell to target claw bandit, unless it affects allies in which case i'll do ranged touch attack on the claw bandit.

Siph winces as S'ala drops to the ground. Fearing for the now outnumbered Angeus, siph once again tries to catch a few bandits in magical slumber.

note I have not added in any firing into melee penalty, as not sure who I am targeting, if possible Siph will maneuver to get a clearer shot.

Anyone close to Siph can catch the smell of roses strong in the air just before 2 of the bandits suddenly nod off to sleep, blissfully forgetting about the ambush.

Siph casts another spell and a magic force surrounds her in a protective layer. Having seen to some defensive measure, Siph will try to move behind a tree away from her horse for better cover.

Spotting the bandits Siph quickly mouths an incantation and then leans close to her horse, hoping to not draw too much attention from the bandits.

Siph lets out a long sigh. I dislike murder, If a bandit threatens me again, he will die. If we take prisoners, that is preferable, but I will loose no sleep over putting a shaft through a bandit or two. Be thankful they are not soldiers, otherwise they would be better trained, and twice as deadly. And know this, unless you are worth a hefty ransom or can charm the tail off a tiefling, these men will not halt the blade at your throat if you surrender

I dislike outright murder, but it would be foolish to tow prisoners with us. Tie them securely to a tree if we must take a prisoner, retrieve them on our return, if the creatures of the woods don't get to them first.

In response to Tristan's ideas, Siph says "I favor a night time attack, with some asleep, perhaps I can put those on guard into a magical slumber, thus getting into the camp undetected. If the gods favor us, we could take the camp with little bloodshed"

ok, i'm lost. I thought Quince was working on a crest for the greenbelt wardens, not Siph's mark. The arcane mark can not be tailored, it is her personal mark and doesn't change, at least that's how I read it.

Siph finds a place on the wall and mutters a few quick words, tracing her fingers on the wood. With a soft flash, the blue glowing runes appears on the wall.

I look forward to seeing you all in action from a safe distance, at least safe for me. I doubt bandits will consider it a safe distance when arrow and lightning pierce their defenses." She says the last bit lightly but the wicked grin leaves no doubt that she means to give the bandits such a welcome.

"Now then, before we so 'rudely' interrupted, I believe you were heatedly discussing those miserable fools fates. Please continue, I must confess I find myself intrigued by your arguments."

Siph pauses for a moment, then a mischievous grin appears on her face "I know a trick, a painless branding, I could permanently mark them with my own personal rune. We simply imply that the rune allows us to track them, scry on them, etc, for those not familiar in the ways of magic, it might help keep them on a better path."

I was reacting more tot he "Stables are closed" part of the comment, no real idea what part of the stables we are in.

Once through the gate, Siph dismounts her horse, shoulders her bow and then turns to Oleg. As Oleg and Tristan exchanges pleasantries, she takes a quick look about, noting the lay of the land, including that she is now, for all intensive purposes, sealed in. She lowers her cloak hood and turns to Oleg

"Excuse me Sir, could you direct me to the stables, my horse is in need of food and rest." her statement is followed by a series of grumbles from her own stomach "pardon me, it appears my horse is not the only one whose hungry after that journey, where might I find a hot meal?"

As they approach the fort, Siph allows Tristan to pull ahead slightly, letting him address the Trading Post for them. As they wait for a response, a breeze picks up, wiping her hair about, though anyone looking to the trading post flag would see it hanging limply.

"I've been by here before but never entered. Will my heritage be an issue for this Oleg?"
as she says this, she draws her cloak tight, pulling the hood up. Her horse shifts nervously, picking up on her unease.
