Simeek runs over to the cat and kneels down. He begins to gently stroke her head.

"Somebody help Precious! She's hurt bad!"

Tears begin to form in Simeek's eyes.

Simeek moves in-between the two scary crab-monsters that threaten his friends. He looks at one, then the other then back again, confused.

"Which one do I hit?"

He closes his eyes and does a quick eeny meeny miney moe with his halberd. He settles for attacking the one to the south first.

Simeek manages to slice at one of the monsters as it approaches the kobolds.

Simeek grabs the oil of potency (striding to it if necessary) applies it to his halberd, and prepares to fight the monsters.

"You look like a big cotton candy. Let's get the hedge trimmer back to Granny before that ogre comes back. Oh and lock up the castle before we leave. It's only polite."

Since the fight started only 10 minutes after we stopped to rest Simeek has not yet been healed and started the fight at 14 hp. He is now at 3hp

SImeek moves further into the maze then turns and stabs at the ogre-badger twice with his halberd.

"I knew it. It's an ogre! "

Simeek looks the badger over carefully.

"He must have changed himself into a badger."

He quickly uses his halberd to dig up the ground near him a bit, then backs away.

"Look here Mr. Ogre-badger. I bet there are some nice earthworms there for you."

After sufficient time passes for all the bandaging Simeek picks up his halberd and heads into the maze, trying to get to the 'castle' in the center.

"We've wasted enough time. Let's continue on to the castle. It's hidden somewhere inside this haunted maze."

Simeek hops from foot to foot, clearly eager to continue despite realizing the need to bandage wounds.

"I guess you should bandage me too Rhin, just in case we run into an ogre."

Simeek points into the hedge maze.

"Look over the hedges. You can just barely see the top of it. I think it's a castle. This is a quest so the hedge trimmers must be over there."

Simeek readies his halberd and heads into the hedge maze.

"Watch out for monsters. There's probably a dragon or an ogre guarding the castle."

Simeek is torn. He clearly doesn't like it when his friends argue.

"But she's nice. And she gave us cookies."

Simeek thinks for a second then brightens.

"That means that we need to go and find her hedge trimmer. It's like a knightly quest!"

His smile gets even bigger as he turns and kneels before the old woman.

"I vow that we shall venture forth into the dark garden and brave its terrors to retrieve the precious hedge trimmers. Come along my companions."

He stands and exits the room.

Simeek looks a little anxious but takes a cookie anyway. He chews it absent-mindedly while he talks.

"Yes ma'am we'll help you but...What's a lawn crawfish? And what does persnickety mean? Also happy birthday."

Eventually, however, it is time to keep moving.

It takes a while to get used to riding the rocking horse but Simeek has a lot of fun playing at being a knight and jousting imaginary dragons. He's a bit disappointed when time comes to move on.

He dismounts and pats Princess Sunshine on the head and feeds her an imaginary apple. He turns and thanks Camilla.

"That was fun. Maybe one day I'll have a steed of my own. Um...could I maybe come back later and play some more Camilla? I'll bring more friends too so you won't have to be lonely anymore."

Simeek puts his toys back in his pack and cautiously approaches his faithful steed, Princess Sunshine. He pats her on the head.

"I wish you were a living horse so I could give you a treat."

He then carefully checks to make sure she is structurally sound using his knowledge of crafting in much the same way a knight might check his horse's hooves and saddle. Satisfied that he won't hurt her he mounts and clicks his tongue.

"I've never ridden a horse before so let's go slowly, okay?"

"A horse? Can...can I ride her? It would be just like being a knight on a faithful steed."

He then pulls out his knight and dragon toys to show to the doll and the rocking horse.

Encouraged that he hasn't been attacked, Simeek attempts to befriend the creepy doll.

Simeek started the fight down 6 hp so now he is down 13 instead of 7.

"Owie owie owie! Bad doggie! Bad! Get away! Leave me alone!"

Simeek swings wildly at his attacker then turns and runs away.

Simeek backs away from the mushroom man and towards the southern door. He stabs at the fungus fellow, hoping to convince him to keep away.

Since Izni is taking 10 minutes to refocus I think that we should search this room. 'Nothing of immediate value' is not the same as 'nothing of value'. This place is so cluttered we could walk right past a fortune and not know it..

Simeek gives the cat a pat on the head and begins to search the immediate area for anything interesting.

"What's in this crate? No wait, what's on this table? No wait, what's on this clothing rack. So much stuff. I can't decide what to look at first."

Simeek opens his eyes and sees that the beetle is dead. Cautiously he moves around the crates towards the cries of the wounded cat.

"Hey. Leave that poor cat alone!"

He grimaces and turns away, thrusting his halberd at the nearest beetle.

Simeek is jostled by the others as they head into the room, knocking him inside as well. Seeing the beetle and the cat fighting to his right and since the tunnel behind is crowded he panics and runs forward only to stop abruptly as he approaches another beetle.

"Eeeeeeeep! Getawaygetawaygetaway!"

He desperately stabs his halberd at the beetle.

A blue scaled kobold steps forward from the rear of the group. He is absent-mindedly polishing his 'breastplate' which looks suspiciously like a large and dented serving platter. He peeks through the hole and his eyes go wide.

"It's beautiful."

He pulls out his 'halberd' (a knife tied to a wooden pole) and turns to the others.

"Is it safe? Do...do we go in now?"
