![]() Sorry, also have been ill. My thought was to have orcs worship a god of minstrels as one of their gods. They are renowned for their ability to tell epic tales, some even claim it's magical or divine. While rare, the sight of an orc with an instrument is inspirational to people because a night of epic tales and legends told by an orc is a night that elders tell their grandchildren about and royalty pay handsomely for. ![]()

![]() Shyness is looking over one of her books by the fire when Ysolde calls out. It is a well-worn tome that has clearly been read many times. "What, Ysolde? Oh, really? Let me see." She stands up to see what progress Ysolde has made, but in her haste, Shyness trips on her voluminous robes. As she does, the book falls out of her hands and a single page flies up and begins to drift towards the fire. "Oh, no!," she cries out as she reaches up to grab it. Scrabbling on hands and knees, Shyness just manages to catch it before it is burned up. Shyness looks around embarrassed, as everyone is sure to have seen her clumsiness. She dusts herself off quickly and draws her robes tighter around her before picking the book up. "Umm, be right there," she squeaks out and makes her way to Ysolde. "Very good, Ysolde," Shyness says as she walks around the circle. "Definitely different from how I do magic. That's neat." Shyness starts to reach out to poke at the circle but realizes she still has the paper in her hand. "Oh my, I have to fix this!" She runs back over towards the fire for light. "What page is it?," she wonders aloud. Perusing the page, she mumbles, "That's odd. It's not from the book. But I haven't seen it before..." Her voice trails off in silent musing. ![]()

Cauldron's Brew and Potion's Bubble: When you have some downtime, you can brew up a potion - describe what it does. Brewed potions are 1-weight per 3 doses, and you get 3 doses per brew. Potion effects are always possible, but the GM will give you one to four of the following conditions:
• Supplies are short - you only get 1 dose of your potion • The potion's effects are delayed, and won't take effect until a short while after drinking • The potion's effects fade quickly - the imbiber will need to hurry to get use out of it • The potion has strange and unwanted side effects • The potion is volatile, and will explode if dropped or treated roughly • The potion smells and tastes horrible - the imbiber takes -1 forward • You're missing an ingredient and will need to acquire it to finish the brew ![]()

Shyness stumbles through the east door, just catching her balance on a rocky outcropping. She turns just in time to see Ysolde's light barrier go up. I can work with that. She reaches out to touch the barrier briefly. Black Magic: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 6) + 2 = 11: Electric, Debilitating The previously still barrier begins to crackle with energy. That should slow them down. Debilitating (half damage): The spell deals half damage, rounded up, but it will stun, slow, or weaken an enemy hit by it, in a method you describe. Electric: This spell arcs along metal, water, and flesh, hitting anything made of those materials that touches your target.
