Cele: Shianne is a descendant of Tian Shu stock. Her gradparents emigrating to Tian Xia while they were newly married in search of adventure and fortune. Through a series of adventures (or as Grandmother used to say, "mis-adventures") the couple found themselves in Sandpoint, broke and with child, the later point made Grandmother's eyes used to twinkle at memories she never divulged. With her mother dying in childbirth and father running off to do whatever running fathers do, Shianne found herself being raised by her maternal grandparent. As a child growing up, Shianne used to love listening stories told by Old Niska while her grandmother and Niska would sit by the fire drinking tea and chatting. Always athletic and with a love for climbing, sneaking around, and generally trying to be as unobtrusive as possible. One summer day, shortly after her thirteenth summer, she herself deep in the nearby woods she deftly climbing trees, jumping from one to another. Sensing another presence, she turned to look, but saw no one. Undaunted, she continued her play, several times trying to catch a glimpse of whomever, or whatever was taking an interest. Always to no avail. On the day, month later, her Grandmother died, she found herself in the now empty home, wondering what was to become of her since her only family was now gone. She opened the door to go draw water for cooking and found an older man standing there. "Come child," he said simply, "and I will train you to use your talents." Without looking back, the man turned and walked away. Shrugging her shoulders, Shianne followed. The next few years flew by in a blur of sore muscles, bruises, long days and short nights learning things left unspoken to any but those she trained with. Little news of the outside world reached her ears other than an occasional overheard snippet while tucked away in the secluded area where she trained. Words of Runelords and uprisings were overheard but never enough to put pieces together. When she ventured to ask, Grandmaster Ute Kyosu simply smiled and said, "One day it will make sense. But for now, your knowledge must remain vague so that your skills can be used without prejudice." She was given a few assignments as part of her training. Usually they involved gathering information which she found challenging. Once she was tasked to put some herbs in a local village elder's tea. Posing as a courtesan made it easy, but the results were a bit distasteful to her, preferring to watch and listen for information over watching someone's face turn blue and listening to their wheezing attempts at drawing breath as their life ebbed away. As she grew older, Shianne wandered away for a time to seek her own path, the remembered stories always bringing a smile when she travelled. That is.. until a message came that Old Niska was dying. Shianne rushed to her side, travelling day and night to get there. Old Niska pulled Shianne close and asked a single favor.."Watch over Koya." More may have been said.. but that will be Shiann's secret to tell.. if she does.
Oooh.. apply and we can tell the dm we're used to working together :) Personally though, I'd really rather finish this one but I always wanted to get into a 2d game. This seems to be the only way I can get my RP fix. Talked to a guy in the LGS that plays PF and he didn't seem too interested in another player. Most here seem to play that 4E garbage.
With a feral grin, Shisa listens to the sound of an anguished scream coming from the cavern beyond. "Well, that's not a girly scream so something must have gone right.. so far," she muses to herself as she carefully sets the spear aside and readies her dagger, opting for more close in work. In the low light, she watches as Marik runs by with fewer duplicates than which he left and braces herself. Seeing the ghoul queen pass where she has tried to hide, she thrusts the dagger toward the back of Mother Thrunefang. initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 Surprise round (if applicable.. round 1 if not): attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
"See mommy, your children have come to play.." 1st round (or 2d as applicable just to keep things moving) Continuing the dance, she awaits another opening before slashing at the ghoul queen, trying her best to bring her down. attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Question.. I know this native spear is probably nothing more than a sharpened (and maybe fire hardened) stick.. Is there a possibility of stabbing the ghoul with it.. and NOT pulling it back out to use as a leverage thing.. so if it does go dark, at least ONE of us would know where she is.. (at the other end of the stick..)? Kind of like using it as a gaff. Stab..hold shaft in one hand with the shaft couched under the arm and stab with the other hand type of thing.
Spotting the two ghouls standing guard and the queen's cavern behind, Shisa turns and holds up her hand to signal the others to hold. Walking back as quietly as she can, she lets the others know what she has seen. "Looks like two ghouls standing guard. if I remember correctly, it's that temple room beyond them. I could not get closer. Scanning the faces of the rest, she shrugs. "We may be able to lure the two out around this slight bend and out of sight. We can take them out quickly then move on. Your thoughts?" Her ears stay tuned for an answer while her eyes begin searching for shadows and a place to hide.. perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 given time constraint (desire to act fast) and nearness of ghouls.. can't justify in my mind a take 10 or 20 Ok.. um.. I'll take that 20.. but darnit.. I'm using all my good rolls.. but then, my non-combat ones have always been better this whole AP.. ugh. EDIT: Corrected for accuracy. Thanks Prof :)
Looking back at Aero, she stands in silence a moment thinking about what he had said. "Great, just another day on this island. It just gets better and better." Turning, she starts to walk off down the passage to search for the ghoul queen. "Remember Aero.. kill me if I start to turn into one of those things." Without another word, she forces herself to concentrate on the task at hand. stealth 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Now, we all know that Paladins have some immunities from pillage and sorts, but Honestly your honor, taking advantage of a minor, albeit one with pointy teeth (while covered in goo from the quicksand mind you..) is just a wee bit too far. At least they could have bathed first, I mean seriously.. eew. As you can see.. I have the dirt on him fair and square. Additionally, your honour, I must protest his lopping off the cheiftain's head, even though the chieftain was dead.. when he would not allow me similar enjoyment on one mere cannibal. Cannibal being still alive not withstanding. Such an injustice mind you. Plus.. we didn't run into kraken until he called them forth whilst we were still aboard ship, nor did we run into undead until said time that he summoned them on the beach and in the cavern. I must submit that these are evil doings and more in keeping with the dark side. As for chapter 3 of the Paladin's Code.. I must protest its admission as evidence. Besides, everyone knows that Chapter 3 won't.. er.. doesn't exist. *Gives the judge an innocent smile while trying to tear pages out of a book behind her back.* As for my reasoning for hopping on this particular ship.. I must plead the fifth.. at least until such time as the Statute of Limitations in Cheliax has passed in regards to items procured from minor nobility when said nobility inadvertently failed to provide sufficient permissions. A mere oversight on their part you know.
Aerodus Whiteblade wrote: Is it an evil act to unknowingly aid a fugitive of justice? (Possibly chaotic?) First you summon kraken.. then seduce an underage local girl, not to mention call up the undead.. and lopping off the cheiftain's head, (after he was dead mind you) and NOW you're worrying about helping a fugitive? :) See Aero.. turn to the dark side.. we have cookies!
Her feet make no sound as she pads across the packed earth back to the rope leading down, Jask's symbol of Nethys bouncing between her breasts. Dropping her spear into the hole, she grabs hold of the rope and turns to the others. "Well, no time like the present eh," she says with a grin before slipping back down into the darkness. Picking up her spear, she stalks off a little ways and awaits the rest. Her eyes scanning the cavern, and ears perked for any sound. perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Ok, guess I need to quit wearing clothes when I sneak..
Mundin's Equipment: MW. Dorn derger, breast plate, Hammer x2, throwing axe x2 While the others tend to the wounded, Shisa runs quickly to the storage shed. Looking around, she tries to find a short length of rope and a tattered, dirty piece of cloth to form a breechcloth in an attempt at at least some modesty. Grabbing Mundin's breastplate, she runs back out, snagging a spear and gives the plate to Aerodus and tucks the dagger into the rope belt. "Here you go Aero. It's at least something," she says as she tests the weight and balance of the spear. "It's not much, but it's better than nothing. Shall we finish what we've started?" Total HPS after Taki's heal: 1d8 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 6 = 11
If it comes to it, I also have 'Heal' as a trained skill and assist.. only a +2 to the roll though.. bleah. I think you need some sort of first aid / healing kit though (bandages and such). I say either evac them to the ville or leave them both near the rope up when we continue on. Either way.. this will hurt, so I'll just say "Owie!" now :)
Wiping the back of her hand across her forehead, Shisa looks over at where Aerodus and Marik are tending to Ishirou. "Is he..ok?" she asks tentatively. "Maybe we should get him out of here." Walking over, she carefully picks up Ishirou's sword from where it dropped. "Maybe get him back to Taki while the rest of us continue?" Her eyes begin scanning the cavern while she talks, peering into the shadows as if looking for something. ************************************ HP: 6 / 14
Shisa tries to keep to the ghoul's side as she dances back feeling the ghoul's claws rake her bare breasts. "Hey! Those are personal!" she mutters as she looks for an opening before driving her dagger toward the monster's throat. attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Shisa runs quickly to Jask's corpse and deftly grabs his dagger and holy symbol. "I'll keep this for you my friend," she says quietly as she pulls his pouch from his belt and starts to remove his armor. "Aero, here, you can take his armor. You'll need it more than I will." she says quietly tugging the leather from Jask's ruined body. She slips the symbol of Nerys over her head with a whispered thanks and wipes the back of her hand across her face leaving a damp smear of dust across her cheek. "Someone check on Sasha?" She turns around to see which of her friends remain.
Um.. maybe. Ishi still has a weapon.. albeit in a pile as well as Marik.. Have rock will sneak streak heh :) Here she comes, look at that, look at that
Oh, yes, they call her the Streak
Moving slowly, Shisa stands, keeping as far back into her alcove as she can. She takes a moment to stretch her cramped muscles then peers around only to notice the ghouls. She quickly clamps a hand over her mouth to stiffle the shocked noise that almost slipped out. Her eyes narrow and her hand clutches her rock tightly as she begins to slip out of the alcove and follow the wall around to the other side where the path slopes upward Feeling her way with her bare feet, she keeps her eyes on the ghouls, looking to see if there is perhaps a better weapon still on the corpse of her friend.. stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Hrm.. ok.. so I guess I should sneak naked from now on.. :)
