Once Shel realized that the floating sensation wouldn’t hurt her, she actually let loose a bit for the first time in a while. ”Whee! I’m flying,” she laughed as she levitated up and and down in the strange room. ”Anyone else want to give it a try?”

She took the opportunity to collect the items for the group and handed them off to everyone else. ”Looks like some nice stuff,” she said.

Once the group was ready, she led them back to town to report the zombies and other awful things to the Sheriff to see how he wanted to proceed.

”Just throwing it out there, but since we are back at town, should we rest a night, and regroup? That fight with those goblins and Tsetso took it out of us. Perhaps being at tip top shape before we go ex0loring this unknown tunnel might be wise,” Shel asks, wanting to be sure the group had considered all possibilities before running off.

Not sure GM’s rule on whathappens when we level. Do we need to rest a night for the benefits to kick in, or does it just happen automatically, and if so, do we go straight to full HP or do we maintain our current injures? Shel’s post is basically just wanting to know the rules before we head out again.

Okay, I suppose I could have explained my reasoning better. I think the magic items should go to whomever can put them to the best use. Weapons, armor, defensive stuff I always vote to go to the melee characters (unless the items are ranged, of course) first, and then trickle down from there. But, I don’t like melee people to become hogs, so when useful for all items like cloaks, random magical items drop, melee should be last in line for those. At least that are my general thoughts 99% of the time.

I figured I’ll generally be the main backup fighter to Red to get the best use of my 2 weapon fighting and sneak attacks, so that’s why I assumed one of us would get the ring.

I agree with Perri. I typically say to give the items to whomever can use them more and best. If we find a wand of cure light wounds for instance, the Warpriest should get it, but shouldn’t have to pay for it.

Same as when we find a magical greatsword. Red should get it as it will help the party more than anything else.

I’d vote for splitting all the cash equally and a group decision about who needs the magic items most and just hand the items off.

Red, are you going to be fighting mostly with a 2 handed sword or a battle axe? If you are using the 2 hander most of the fine, you should take the ring of protection. If you are going battleaxe and shield for the most part, I could make better use of it.

I’m fine either way so it’s your call.
