Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Round 7
Buffs: Enlarged +2 strength, -1 to hit, -1 AC, Large size AC: 19 HP: 12/74

Sh*t, Rhane don't you die on me mutters Sevram as he takes aim and shoots another two arrows at the remaining elemental.

Attack 1 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Attack 2 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage 1 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 6) + 4 = 14
Damage 2 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 3) + 4 = 12

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Round 6
Buffs: Enlarged +2 strength, -1 to hit, -1 AC, Large size AC: 19 HP: 19/74

Like heck am I going to get near another of those things thinks Sevram before dropping his sword, taking his bow from his shoulder and shooting an arrow at the elemental

Attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Damage 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Round 5
Buffs: Enlarged +2 strength, -1 to hit, -1 AC, Large size AC: 19 HP: 31/74

Sevram takes a step towards the elemental and strikes at it with all his might. Go back to whatever hell you came from you damned thing!

Attack 1 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Attack 2 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Damage 1 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 7 + 1 + 6 = 24
Damage 2 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 7 + 1 + 6 = 16

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Round 4
Buffs: Enlarged +2 strength, -1 to hit, -1 AC, Large size AC: 19 HP: 35/74

Sevram gets caught by the fire after the creatures attack, enraged he drops his shield and taking his falcata with both hands strikes at it with all his strength before taking a step back.

Attack 1 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 13 - 2 = 17
Damage 1 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 7 + 1 + 6 = 21
Attack 2 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 8 - 2 = 18
Damage 2 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 7 + 1 + 6 = 23

Reflex Save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

I could use some healing here!

Drop shield as a free action, Full Attack using power attack with the falcata gripped with both hands, then a 5-foot step back

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Maybe posting the initiative order here at the start of the encounter and updating it each time something changes would be a good way to go about it? Oh and the DM rolling the PC's initiative so he doesn't have to scan all our posts and wait for us to make the roll before moving on.

By the way... am I up?

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Well since I'm large now and have reach I will try to give that bastard something to remember me

Sevram stays his ground as his body grows to the size of that of an ogre and takes two testing swings at the elemental.

Full Attack with Combat Expertise
Attack 1 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 13 - 2 = 13
Attack 2 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 8 - 2 = 7

Status:

AC 24
HP: 53/74

Those were a couple of awful rolls

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

DAMN*D B*STARD THAT HURTS!! shouts Sevram

Reflex Save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

@Irina, could you roll your Healing? so I know if Sevram is at full health or just one point under (you could always roll two 1)

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Sevram takes the brew from Irina's hand and takes it all in with a sip. He notices how his body grows and he feels stronger. He truns to Irina with a smile and says Thanks, that makes things more balanced his smile fades as he turns back to the elemental Maybe you should stay back, that creature won't fall easily

Supposing a move action to pick the potion and an standard action to drink it that's my round

Status after drinking the potion:
Initiative: 14
Hitpoints: 66/74
AC: 22

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Darn I misread, then Sevram will take a double move while thinking what can he do against such a creature

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Status:

Initiative: 17
Hitpoints: 66/74
AC: 23

Sevram unsheathes his sword as he approaches the nearest elemental and shouts Stay back! I will try to hold him! the takes a swing at him trying to keep him focused at himself.

Move while taking his sword out, attack using power attack
Attack 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 13 - 2 = 30
Damage 1d8 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 4 = 13

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Kn. Planes 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Initiative 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

For all the gods, where did that come from?

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Sevram arrives at the bottom of the rubble a few seconds after Irina and he has his shield ready to cover himself of any new events he looks at Irina and says Who the heck are Mayve and Tzay?

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Seeing Glee jump above the rubble without trouble Sevram decides to look for an easier route Seems like hell has been let loose, aren't we forgetting something in this chaos? Sevram turns to Rhane and shouts above the chaos Rhane! Can you get to your horse or do you need help? We can't leave it back at the inn, there may be no inn when we come back!

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Sevram sheathes his sword once more before moving after Glee We'd better stay together... whatever that trinket does it is important, so I swear on my life to make sure it stays in good hands

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Sevram looks angered at the man Who demoted you? What tower are you talking about? Are you insane or is there something remotely useful in your words? his eyes fly over the devastation surrounding him I wonder if this is a localized event or... my family... he turns back to the man and draws Legacy You will tell us what you know or one of us won't leave this ruins alive when Glee shows the bracelet Sevram looks at it and mutters What the heck is that?

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Reflex Save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 8 damage

Sevram avoids most of the damage but is startled at the destruction surrounding him. His first instinct is to force the man to explain himself to the detail, but he cannot ignore the injured so he moves to help them as best as he can.

Heal (Untrained) 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

What in the name of the gods was that?!

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Sevram eyes turn to Gliressa as he sits back at the table and he asks So you see him too? What kind of joke is this?

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Sevram bows before the man and says Well, then I bid you farewell whatever you are. As he bows he tries to take a look at the notes the man is taking.

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

Come Rhane, let us drink until we create a planar discohesion of our own and not invite this man he turns to Irina and with a nod of his head adds Lady, if you'd bless us with the pleasue of your company we would be most grateful, I have the feeling there is something different about all three of us

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Oh great, either I've gone mad or whoever that is is powerful enough to hide him in a full room, anyway, I'm royally screwed he turns back to Rhane and asks You see him don't you? Maybe it is US who he is waiting for he stands up with a determined look on his face and moves towards the man Well met, mysterious stranger or figment of my imagination! May I ask you why are you not enyoying the magnificent ale of this inn? he tries to sound friendly but he can't help some of his nerves showing.

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Ah, a tale of grief and sadness. I'd better let it go Sevram smiles back at Rhane as he speaks, and takes another sip of ale before saying Well, as they said at the monastery:
Time and ale
will cure what ails

He reaches towards Rhane and directs his attention to the robed man You see him there? I wager you he is here looking for someone

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

Tell me good Rhane, what has you so nervous in such an excellent location? says Sevram with a smile I thought you were the kind to relax with some good ale and food. Is it some vow you make at your order? To be always vigilant or something like that. Heh, I know my share about vows but they were not meant for me, oh no. Sevram takes another sip of his tankard and smiles at Rhane while looking around.

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33

A dark mysterious stranger in a tavern, well well, seems we are about to see something interesting Sevram calls the innkeeper My good lady I know you are a busy woman, no wonder since your ale is magnificent and your stew gives both body and soul a rest but, if I may be so bold, I have a question fo you. Sevram make a conspiratory grin and winks at the woman Would you happen to know who that man at the corner is? He reminds me of somebody but for the gods, I cannot put a name to the face! Ha

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

I'm taking the missus out for dinner, but should be back home early so I hope to be ready to start tonight. I'm really eager!

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

I think Sevram could have established some kind of friendship with Glee or Rhane, they may have met investigating some old library or ancient ruins and decided to travel together for safety.

@Sevram:

What do you think about Coordinated Defense or Coordinated Maneuvers for our Teamwork Feat?

Sevram has both Improved Disarm and Improved Sunder so Coordinated Maneuvers would be most welcome.

@Sevram:

Just wanted to update you that I've actually switched to a Greatsword instead of Longsword and Shield. This won't throw off any plans you had will it?

As long as you have a lance for mounted charges it's alright with me *wink*

I do have one feat slot that I am willing to trade out for teamwork, not sure how it would work as a caster though.

Most Teamwork Feats are Combat Feats and not much use for a full caster, maybe Shielded Caster, but since you'd need at least other character to have it it'd be better if you took it next level. If you want to take it it'd be good if Sevram took it and stayed next to Mayve if she got caught in a battle, maybe they feel dutybound to protect her? It'd give a not bad +6 to concentration checks. Rhane could take it too but he is more of a mobile fighter being a cavalier.

@Sevram: I am definitely willing to coordinate on our teamwork feats so that we don't overlap too much.

I actually meant that we should take some in common so we could use them without spending daily uses of Tactician but keeping some of them from overlapping will be necessary too.

Then maybe she would be so kind to utterly destroy Sevram's faith before he becomes a Paladin *wink*

@Sevram Septimus

...and if you're interested in Paladin levels I'd be happy to work that into the story.

Well, right now I don't intend to multiclass, but as i see him, Sevram is not a Paladin because he lacks faith in a superior being, so if he found that faith he may take a few levels. Anyway I prefer the story to shape the stats and not the other way around.

Oh, and I'm eager to see the story you have ready for us!

Male Human Fighter (Tactician)

I guess Rhane and Sevram will be the frontline fighters with some help from T'zay and Gliressa if needed. Since being a Cavalier and a Tactician we're going to have several Teamwork Feats we should try to coordinate some of them. I took Outflank since it would help the rogue when I used my Tactician class feature, and having a weapon with a Critical Threat of 17-20 I expect to get some critical provoking extra Attacks of Oportunity.

Sevram will begin most fights using Combat Expertise until he assesses his enemies. Then he may use Disarm or Sunder, use Power Attack, or whatever seems more convenient.

Also I wonder how you intend to let your characters evolve. Sevram will probably go Fighter all the way. Maybe make a small dip in Paladin if he finds the faith he has never had?

Any suggestions?

@Sevram you're in. I'll be working in several of those ideas.

Yay! I have to say I really want to give Sevram a try, he is a concept I've wanted to explore for a long time.

I have added a Plot Hook Ideas section to the profile, will be adding more as they cross my mind. Hope some of them pick your attention if I manage to get in the game.

I added a background to the profile, tried to keep it generic so it fits a yet growing setting, I didn't put many plot hooks in it since I don't know if you'd like me to do it... Oh I couldn't help but write that last sentence as the quote came to the front of my mind.

I added two traits, and changed the skill points distribution a little to have different knowledges and be able to recognise different enemies. Hope it's alright DM.

This is Keddah with Sevram Septimus, the stats are done, pending DM approval, before I get to the background I want to ask a few questions about the setting. My idea is for Sevram to have been a weakling until his teenage years and have been sent by his family to a monastery or similar place were old knowledge is still preserved, there he became an expert in military history and tactics, and when his body finally began to grow he decided to set those learnings to practice.

My questions are:
Are ther monasteries/schools/anything were old books and knowledge are kept?
What about religions? Is this a pantheist setting like most D&D settings? Do gods have anything to do with mortals or are they distant entities?
What would be the common opinion about magic nowadays? And before the fall of the empire?

#Gliressa, I had a look at your character and I think Sevram would find her really interesting both as a scholar and as a person. A knowledgeable woman able to keep herself in a fight? He certainly would be impressed.

Darn, I was already dead AND reincarnated as a kobold! Well at least I can hide while the rest get crushed to dust And get an awesome dire rat mount!
