"My eyes! The warp-spawn blinded me! Argh!"

After being stunned by the blast of light and disoriented, Zek is swarmed and held immobile by the wall of dead flesh.
<Inquisitor, warp spawn and evil on the bridge. Our weapons are useless. Retreating from threat, request support.>
Zek moves to the door, covering the dead men and watching his team as they pull.back.
"I guess so, if we can get those doors open! What if we grab the glow thing and space it?"
Zek, wide eyed, sweeps his shotgun's muzzle over the swarmed creatures, unsure of what to do.
"It's gotta be that damn green thing on the chair! Kill it!"
Zek takes aim at the green glowing things head and fires again.

"If ya don't wanna die, then shoot these things!"
Zek lowers his shotgun and blasts at the closest walking corpse.
"That damnable witch lights gotta have something to do here, kill it too! Fast!"

Good, plenty of "is this gonna kill me now? " Which is pretty much spot on for 40k
"Psyker? Do I shoot? I don't like the look of that glowy thing!"
Zek's voice pitches up just a bit, as veins pop out on his forehead and along the back of his hands.
"Get clear, and aim for its head!"

"Got your six. Move in."
Zek slides into cover next to a nearby ship console, eyeing down the sights of his shotgun.
"Aye. That is the point of that doohickey, glad it worked. Real glad, to be honest."
Zek shoulders his weapon and moves into the room, sweeping for threats.
"Does the Icon work on servitors? Cuz if so, use it! Throne, those things are big."
1d100 ⇒ 95 Awareness, TN 24
Failure.
"A rapid loss of atmo would need a really big hole. And these blast doors are supposed to stop that happening, right? A deliberate vent seems most likely, to me. And that means someone messed with the machine spirit of the vessel, or took the bridge itself."
"Copy that, Magos. Any inkling what is kicking around down here? Servitors, mutants, xenos scum?"
Assuming point once more, Zek moves forward, shotgun at the ready.
"Aye, there's plenty of nasty ways to go out. Not sure choking on void ain't one of them. You got my word, though, it comes to it, I'll make your end a quick one, sure enough."
Zek lets the images of past horrors flow over and stuffs them back in their proper places deep in the recesses of his mind.
++Copy.++
Zek continues down the corridor, eyes sing for trouble and shotgun at the ready.
When in doubt, choose left. Zek goes left.
Zek moves down the corridor, dashing from cover to cover.
++Any idea what we're walking into? Seems a little quiet, ya ask me.++ He relays quietly over comms.
Seeing the way is clear for the moment, and expecting tight quarters, Zek slings his longlas and pulls out the combat shotgun. Racking the big weapon, he brings it up to the low ready and begins to move forward.
Bounding from cover to cover, he checks the corners and keeps his eyes moving for threats. He refrains from speech, allowing his team to move forward as he clears the way.
Zek sweeps out the door, longlas at the ready. He checks the airlock and moves up to cover.
++Point secure. Move up.++
++Copy that. Zek stands ready for disembark.++
"Whatever we find, make sure you grab cover before returning fire. Not getting shot is much more important than one more round downrange."
"Understood. Any intelligence on this ship's history? Obviously, the Warp will have twisted and corrupted whatever is on there, but any information may be helpful."
Zek grabs a microbead from his gear bag, then turns to the others.
"Anyone else on comm? I'm on channel Beta-2, encryption Amber-7-Alpha."
Once at the boarding area, Zek assembles h is new longlas, stowing his ammunition in easy grab. He also slides his revolver and knife into their respective holsters, with ammo stored in pockets. Slinging his shogun and checking his armor integrity, he signals his readiness to board the shuttle. He clips his mask to his belt and stows the rest of his gear in a sturdy backpack.
"Understood. I was speaking of the asteroid field. If that is not an issue, boarding torpedoes will grant us speed and immediate access, while a shuttle or pinnacle would allow a more controlled approach and direct exfil opportunity."
Zek looks at the asteroid field, trying to see a passage through towards the target.
"Can we safely approach through that morass?"
"Do we have the firepower to cut a hole? Make a passage in and out, avoid the danger?"
Okay, no worries, had Zek all equipped already. Just wanted to make sure I was all correct.
Am I correct in assuming we have only the gear provided by the Inquisitor? No starting equipment package?
"You have my thanks, Inquisitor. Truly, I can bring the pain to your enemies with this weapon!"
Zek's face lights up in joy as he beholds the longlas. He wastes no time inventory in the weapon, assembling it ans checking it if time allows.
Will the case serve as a suitable transport method while disassembled? Similar to Agent 47s sniper rifle in a briefcase?
Zek takes the time to don the carapace armor, before opening the case with his name on it.
"For the Emperor!"
Zek tosses back the liquor and places the goblet back on the table, hands clasped behind his back.
"My blade and gun are yours to command, Inquisitor."
Zek takes a goblet and stands roughly at parade rest, eyes flicking over the others called before the Inquisitor.
Away from books ATM, but Zek's wishlist is pretty simple:
GUNS!
Specifically: Longlas w/ overcharge & scope
Combat Shotgun
Stub Revolver w/ Manstopper & DumDum bullets.
Climbing & Rapelling Gear
Gas Mask or good Respirator
Explosives (and the leave to use them)
Grenade/Rocket Launcher?
Night Vision Goggles?
I just went off the book names and whatnot.
I have 0 attachment to names/places, and limited knowledge of the deep Lore of DH, so feel free to change anything that needs changing!
