Sorry. I missed that Vitellia was up...and thank god. Maybe she can save me from myself...

Happs: Can you show us where the bad woman hugged you?...Lucky bastard.

Seeing the shock on the guards face, Seleste looks down at her unwrapped hands, "Funny thing, ropes these days." To her guards eyes, the length of leather seems to shrink until the realization hits that the whip isn't shrinking, she is growing.

Kneeling before him and her weapon off with 'Happs' she does the only thing that comes to her. She reaches around his legs and tries to yanks him to the ground.

Enlarged Grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 (w/bonuses for size and str. to no avail)

But instead is just left making an uncomfortable hug.

"Stronger is nice, but I am just glad it will keep up with my 'spurt', as you say. I would hate to be fighting the bandits and suddenly go full starkers on them."

Seleste comes back into the camp circle having donned her new armor. The armor seems custom fitted clearly showing she is indeed a young woman and not an Elf man. She is carrying her previous armor nicely folded up. Oh, I would never dream of selling this...although is it alright if I say I am a bit creeped on how he know my exact body shape." She takes the old armor and puts it carefully into her pack. "I will need to return this at some point or I can just imagine the drama."

"How about we strike their camp and then explore on the way back or bring back any prisoners before fully exploring. I feel uneasy either exploring the woods or the plains if a bandit force goes past us to find where their flunkies got off to. Might also give less of a warning that we are coming."

Seleste quickly makes her way into the guest quarters to try and clean up and change out of her dirty digging clothes. When she emerges, the guard have there charges chained and lined up for the trip back to Rostov.

"Why do I bother sometimes."

She makes her way over to the group and learns they are discussing leaving and going after the other bandits. "Finally. Let me go get changed, again. But...those guards will be back if we catch more, right? I don't feel safe leaving Svetlana and Oleg, but the quicker we deal with the bandits the safer they will be. I vote for going straight for them through the woods. Better cover...and kinda avoids the spiders."

Shovel in hand, Selste pauses digging in the future orchard. She wipes a dirty arm across her sweaty brow, despite the spring chill. When she puts her arm down she sees the procession approaching the gates. She sighs looking at the smear of dirt and grit on the back of her arm and immagining what her face must look like. "Hey, at least I am not giant and green when I will meet them...THat is not how I wish to impress them...Nooo, I haven't even met them. I am not trying to impress them THAT way either." She puts the shovel on her shoulder and heads in to meet the guard.

Seleste helps expand the little garden that Svetlana had started behind the trading post. She has a collection of vegetable seeds; potatoes, pumpkin, squash, and lentils that will do better in the ground then being carried around the Greenbelt. She also starts up an herb garden with a selection of savory and medicinal herbs. Lastly she paces out an orchard, planting cold-hardy apples, plums, and peaches from seeds and pits she had saved in her wanderings.

In the evenings, she practices with the bow by firelight. Initially, she is glad for the dim light to hide how poor her archery is.

"But, um, why I was crushing this table? I was told, by some, I had a sort of power in me. I had never done something like that before...well one other time, but it wasn't that, more like the healing. The power kinda leaks out So leave it to me to get the ability to get giant feet. Why it happened...or how? It must have been cause I wanted to kick that bandit's butt."

She tugs at her loose elven-designed armor, looks up at Tika talking with Svetlana, and then tries to see down into her armor, "I wonder if I can get other parts to grow?" Seleste's head suddenly tilts and a sarcastic smile comes to her lips, "Oh. I just got it. 'Grow into it', I will grow into the armor. Way to be cryptic."

She looks right at Gage as she shakes her head ruefully, "I think I was trained by 2,000 year-olds no wiser than my little brother. Elves. Bored ELves at that...pfft."

Seleste comes back cleaned up, "We can help Oleg with his repairs until then."

She goes and looks over the items, "What? Why would I want that?" After a moment she sheepishly turns to the group, "Um, would it be alright if I took a bow and some arrows. It should be better then than my sling I grew up using. In any event my father was pretty good with a bow and he might have taught me a thing or two."

Will take 1 longbow and 20 arrows.

"I know, I know, we can't even kill them just a little bit. Still doesn't make it fair."

Seleste gets back to her feet and comes back to look at the bandaged bandit, "I thought my parents would have wanted this man dead too. But I think my Mother healed him...or least her memory did. And if that is what she wanted, I won't go against her. And deep down, I know this one would not have been the one who killed my father, for he was skilled with bow and sword, unlike these lackeys for the real bandits." She looks back to her bloody hands, "I just hope I can repeat that healing thing when it is one of us. I am going to go get this blood off."

She wanders off to the bunk house, her hands gesticulating as if she were in an argument and trying to get a point across, until she disappears from sight.

A few words with Tika:
"Thanks Miss Tika and sorry for the outburst. But having seen them at their worst, I just can't bring myself to trust them now. Especially after they just threatened Mrs. Svetlana. So if Rostov will serve as jailer or executioner, I am fine with that. But if any of them so much as talk about trying to escape their punishment, I will put the sword in their hand personally, so that I can kill them all 'fair' like."

Seleste, back to normal size looks down at the attempt to save the Bandit. "Sooooo, we want to heal him so he is healthy when we kill him. Right? Or Rostov. Rostov can kill him. Yeah, better they do it." She shakes her head at the bard's suggestion of toothy servants and even more so at his ministrations, "Mister Gage, it looks like you are trying to give him a Centaur Rub. You can't make the blood go back in. Here let me."

heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

She holds her hand over the wound, pressing but also bringing the wound to a close allowing the blood to hopefully clot. She had seen her Mother work on many a wound, never one this bad at least in Seleste's company. The thought of her Mother fills her with warmth. She always knew what to do. She taught Seleste well, so now the daughter knows what to do as well The Voices seem to know it too, and fall silent for once instead of their constant advice, either content to watch or wait.

The warmth spreads down Seleste's arms and into her hands.

When she senses the pressure had been sufficient, she asks Gage to make a bandage from the bandit's sleeve. But when she lifts her hand to apply the bandage, she recoils in horror, "What have I done? Where is the wound?" She sits back staring at her bloody hands, "What have I done. I am a monster. How can I heal a man that might have killed my mother? How can I heal? I was thinking of her and then this...Well, Tell me!" Seleste seemed more questioning herself until that last bit.

After the others

Seleste scoots under the wagon only to find Tika already under there and moving out to help save Svetlana. But there are other bandits. Vitellia and her hound burst forth to help Oleg so she sets out to help Mamise.

Her adrenalin pumping, Seleste hits her head as she emerges from under the wagon when she thought she had room. And then as she goes to hop up on the outdoor table, it seems to recede under her jump almost sending her flying. The table groans under her weight as she points her sword down at the little bandit. "Surrender. And why are you so small?" The table gives a shudder and her cheeks redden, "Come on. I do not weigh that much. Its the armor." But looking around everyone seems small...

@ previous night

Seleste seems keen on drinking Tika's offered drink until a scowl crosses her face and she rolls her eyes in frustration, "I must thank you for the offer, but I should refuse." When the conversation turns away from her she mutters seeming to her shoulder, "do I even sound like that?"

She joins the others when each heads for their room.

On the road

Seleste would have preferred to walk, she is used to walking. Horses are used for plowing and hauling. She was not accustomed to being so high off the ground, and "The Skipper" seemed to know it. He took every opportunity to try to head off the trail or munch on a passing bush. Seleste had to resign herself to at least trying to steer him clear of vegetation that would upset his digestion. The worst part was falling behind and having The Skipper launch into a fast trot to catch up, leaving Seleste to rattle about in her armor and hold on for dear life. Selelste probably didn't notice but by the time they reached the trading post, the Skipper was missing more bushes than he had been used to, as Seleste became determined not to let him fall behind all that much.

@ Oleg's

At the sight of the trading post, Seleste was quick to dismount and walk her horse the last of the way, "To give him a cool down." That was the excuse, but she needed to give her butt and thighs a cool down too and didn't want to seem the fool dismounting with quivering legs in front of everyone.

Plus it let the others take the lead in talking with the post. It looked a right fort and better for the 'Barons' to deal with the soldiers. The ride back out was a bit of a raw experience to be coming back so soon and with new friends. She was not sure she had ever been to this place, her Father might have visited...or was it that he said it was abandoned. It must have been the previous post they passed through on their way here that she had visited as a child. Fruit-flavored hard candy sticks...she savored them for months giving each only a few licks a day. Her and her brother would suck them into sharp points and prick each other...She played with one of the amulets on her chest, the one with arrows and stars, "I wonder if they have hard candy?"

Seleste's face lights up at the change in Mamise and she even cracks a first smile you had seen from her. As she takes in the rest of Mamaise's words she nods and waits impatiently for her to finish. "What are you?", she asks in amazed wonder and follows that in a teen-aged rush. "Is that wizarding? Or is that really you? Is this you?" You're not fey, right?" Suddenly she freezes and a blush of shame enters her cheeks, "...alright...enough..." "I am sorry, that was rude. I should ask for your forgiveness...I mean, I ask for..." Seleste gives her head a shake like a gnat buzzed across her vision, but then continued in a more measured tone, "Please forgive me." She ends that with a small bow.

When she straightened she seemed to have found the point she wished to make, "I just meant being other people is not for me...I am just Seleste, and that is hard enough...If I could be someone else, I fear I might not come back as Seleste." She ends with her eyes having drifted down to her muddy and scuffed boots, "There is little to Seleste that you see before you, this armor, doesn't even fit, this spear and sword, too big, this shield too heavy, these holy symbols, this hair even. Everything that was me has been taken from me. So, I am sure your morals are fine and I'm not up on charters and ogblitions, I just wanted to say that when we invite people to follow us into this land, then it won't be my responsibility; it will be ours...that's all I meant" She looks up with moist eyes, "Sorry, I am just not good with words and strangers, but if we are to create a new home, I am glad you would fight at my side. I will fight beside you, whatever shape you choose."

A sullen Seleste asks Tika, "Why do you smile for them? It is hard enough being me, I can't afford to be someone else for 'other' people despite their urging." That last part was not directed at Tika personally, more a proclamation to the room.

Seleste gets to her feat and takes up her weapons along the wall, "There were already people living out there and along the border of the Rostland, homesteading, trapping, prospecting...colonizing as you all call it, has all come to an end. Focus on the Bandits, none of that comes back with the bandits growing bolder. When I can plow their bones into a new field, then we can talk of colonies."

"How was that for authority?" Seleste mutters under her breathe as she bends to retrieve her pack.

I have been trying to make Seleste mutter under her breath a lot while trying to use the 'smaller' text but having no luck. Just in this sentence 'smaler' should have been smaller. For now I just won't bold those conversations and someone can try to listen in if they desire.

Everything was moving so fast and all these people, the noise and the laughing was too much. She was glad for this quiet moment to collect herself.

She had come to Restov to seek help against the bandits. She had no idea that the Lord Mayor would be so receptive and had already called a gathering for just such an endeavor. It turns out the Lord Mayor know Selete's mother, or at least of her herbal lore in the Rostlands and also of her daughter that she was training. He expressed his regrets at their passing and asked her to wait in this quiet room. In a low voice she mutters, "That is good, right? Or is he keeping me apart from the grownups?....No I don't feel a grownup. Did you see them stare at me? Only the barmaid paid me any mind. Her and the dogs and was that a friendly wolf?....No, I don't care to project authority...what authority would that be anyway? She ends with a laugh just as the door opens.

Fully blushing, she sees the Lord Mayor return followed by a group including the barmaid. Self-consciously, Seleste straightens her long silver-white hair. Those entering, see a young woman of mixed Elven decent. She sits tall in her chair and seems rail thin but this is partially hidden by the large boiled leather cuirass that she wears that is obviously too big. The armor is covered in an intricately carved scroll-work pattern of leaves and flowers. The designs and style of the armor seem archaic, and as if to reinforce this, it's smooth surface appears puckered and peeling in places. The large wooden shield against the wall bears similar faded paint designs. Her large sword and spear bear leaf-shaped blades.

She uses the time the Mayor makes introductions to recenter her thoughts. When the one called Miss Iwani asks about bandits, Seleste blurts out without allowing the Mayor to answer, "Bandits are very active. Too much so." Suddenly realizing her place, "Sorry to interrupt Lord Mayor. I think that was some authority popping out."

That is a nice set up with the map.

That is always good advice and I do that with big text posts as well. Today these were quick edits under a minute so not sure what was up other than pissing off the post-monster somehow. :-)

I am not sure Seleste would know what you are insinuating and the spirits around her would probably go mum on the subject. Although she probably assumes you are talking about Elk herds and basic animal husbandry of copulation and calving... isolated farm girl here.

Sounds nice to me, this way I can hear the story of the drums! Also, Team B is more of a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits, I'll feel home.
I like this make up of the B team as well. I also didn't get a chance to participate in the tavern thread so I look forward to starting fresh with this group.

Speaking of not getting to RP (due to character sheet issues?), I was just looking at everyone's sheets to see if we can pull off even moar shennanigans when I noticed your stats seem low.

Did you use the 15, 14, 14, 14, 12, 12 action hero array?
Don't shortchange yourself :D

Thanks for catching that Gage.

I am coming to think Seleste really is haunted. I made these changes twice today and watched the profile page accept the changes than after about 5 seconds, the page automatically goes to the Paizo front page. When I get back to the profile page, the changes are gone. It did that twice today and a number of times previously without me catching it in the act as I tried to get her profile up to the GM standards.
