I had an idea for a rival party that I could throw against my PCs and I was wondering if anyone wanted to help me brainstorm and flesh it out.

The basic premise is that the party uses adventuring tropes to mislead their opponents at the start of a fight and gain the upper hand. They do this by looking like they have different party roles then they actually do, leading rival parties to misplan against them.

Example 1:
A large, muscular, tattooed half-orc that looks like a savage barbarian. However, he is actually a shaman with a life spirit and both him and his spirit animal serve as the party's main healers.

Example 2:
A demur, dainty looking female elf in white clergy robes, holding a rod and looking like the stereotypical healbot. However, her rod is actually a disguised rapier and as soon as she is engaged she removes the robes with a flourish to reveal a swashbuckling damage dealer.

Example 3:
A large, steel armored juggernaut wall of a man that looks to be the party's main tank. What it actually is, however, is an animated skeleton of the party's tiny gnome wizard wearing armor that is decked out with exploding runes. The gnome commands it into battle to engage the fighters and then lets it blow up, revealing he was hiding in the backpack it left behind.

Example 4:
An elderly, hunchbacked, wizened half elf with full long beard, wizard robes, and staff. While he looks and acts for all intensive purposes as a wizard, his true role is the party's tank and is a paladin synthesist summoner whose eidolon armor is a giant golden angelic golem.

Do you guys have any other ideas along this line? I'm interested in any ideas you may have as I would like to throw something like this against my PCs in the near future.

My Nurah was never tried. after the shadowblood incident, the PCs pretty much suspected her. While the party debated what to do, the Paladin said he would take care of it. His solution was to NEVER LET HER OUT OF HIS SIGHT. They took her on every mission, telling her it was because of her bolstering abilities.
During this time, the cha heavy Paladin protected her, helped her, and subsequently wooed her. when the PCs attacked the castle, Nurah proved herself to the PCs that she changed by revealing Kirandra's disguise.

@rashly5
I tried to find the best domains from PF to fit with Oh, but if it is okay I probably will just create my own since I agree with you about them not fitting right...

His domains will be Luck and Accidents, and his areas of purview will extend to Accidents as well.

(By the way, you are correct, I am a huge fan of Discworld.)

As for what I will create, I like your idea of accidental creations.
An accidental God governs over accidents.

Poetic.

How many more mods do I need to be approved and start posting?

Bah. Hate the fact that I am in China timezone. I was planning on finishing up my application and sprucing it up after work so the final would be considered, but your 11 EST is right when I am at the middle of work.

Ah well, I hope that you still consider me as an applicant Spooky, and if any of the mythic paths drops (with the exception of Trickster) I can make Kyris fill that role and would be happy to step in.

Barring that, as I am still itching to play pathfinder and WoW specifically, if you need help with some of the plethora of NPCs that tag along in WoW (double the usual amount since you are running it twice), I will be happy to take up one of the roles for any NPC and be responsible for the fiddly stats and number so you can focus on the story.

Sorry to make your life harder Spooky, but I want to post this now since it is looking like recruitment is winding down.
Unfortunately, I am posting from my tablet so I will have to be brief and not too detailed, but just tell me if I need to add more to be considered and I will.

Name: Kyris Dawnfeather
Race: half-elf
Age: 17
Class: Bard 1 (however, he will dip slightly into Paladin at story appropriate moment and then prestige into Dragon Disciple.)
Mythic path: Archmage. (Though I he could also move to heirophant, guardian, or champion if needed to and I have back stories prepared for each)

Kyris never knew his parents growing up. For as long as the boy could remember, it has only been him and Alfred growing up in a middle-class esque estate near the north gate. However, Kyris never felt as if he was missing out not knowing his parents, as Alfred raised the boy in a loving home, treating the boy as if he was his own flesh and blood. In fact, it was due to Alfred's constant tales of his father's and mother's great deeds as crusaders that Kyris grew to become enraptured with storytelling, his own abilities in the art flourishing as he grew up and recounted to memory the all the heroic tales that Alfred told to him. Furthermore, Alfred also taught the boy how to live a virtuous life, keeping and respecting the teachings of all the good gods, reminding him to revere and respect all of them and their followers in their own way.
In all Kyris is enamored with the stories he has heard, and he looks forward to the up coming festival in Kenabres that he is attending with Alfred as a chance to hear more wonderful and exciting tales about the crusade.

WHAT KYRIS DOESN'T KNOW (Would be in spoilers but I am new at posting and not really good with them)
Kyris's father was not just any crusader, he was a powerful Riftwarden, a legacy that was passed down to Kyris by the tattoo on the back of his neck. Alfred was his father's friend and contemporary, a Riftwarden as well, who has now retired and kept that part of his life secret to fulfill his father's last request to keep his son safe from demons that would harm him. Furthermore, Alfred has not told Kyris that his mother is NOT dead, but is in fact the great silver dragon Tendeelev. She has visited Kyris on occasion at the house as 'an old friend of Alfred and Kyris's parents', always in disguise as an elderly woman named Martha.

So recruitment is closed?
If there is still room, I would like to get in on this...

Let me give my god just in case.
Typed this up quickly, so I will make adjustments to him later.

Name: Oh
Played By: Saminjutsu
Domains (Portfolios): Luck and Chaos(Revelry)
Theme: Minor god of Hangovers, Sarcasm, and Expletives.
Alignment: Neutral
Attack: 1d6
Defense: 5d6
HP: 40
Description:
No one was more surprised when Oh came into existence than Oh himself.
You see, belief is one of the funniest and least predictable forces in the universe.

As people repeatedly invoked the name of Gods over a long enough period of time, all that belief has to funnel into somewhere.

In Oh's case, that belief manifested him.

Even with his spheres of influences and followers who consistently give him his rather unconventional praise, Oh seeks to try and add to his influence and thus his power so that one day he might be able to ascend and become stronger.

Is recruitment still open for this?
If so, what is still available?

I'm new at this, but I am watching this thread...

Will you allow a crossblooded Kitsune enchantment sorcerer?
Add some diabolical puppetmastering to this.
