Male Half-Orc Brawler 1

I just want some action. Is that so much to ask?

Male Half-Orc Brawler 1

He growls and rips the paper - and attached flesh - off of his hand."Pathfinders," he says with a dejected sigh.

He then looks around for another PATHFINDER wench to fill him up. That stuff was actually pretty decent.

Fortitude save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

"This here's strong. Thank ya!" he exclaims after a sniff, swallowing the whole cup in a single swig.

Sailboat looks over at the bouncy halfling. "You're full 'a energy, ain'cha?" he remarks with a smirk before ordering a nearly-narcotic alcoholic beverage from a passing tavern wench.

Sailboat checking in, if anyone needs a level 1 Brawler.

It's times like these I almost wish I weren't a cheapskate and had all HeroLab access.

Would Sailboat be welcome?

If I won't fit because of thematic reasons, then I suppose I'll drop out. No sense in trying to fit a square peg into a round hole!

Submitted character sheet.

Reason "Sailboat" is involved:
As the boat on which he served headed south, a fight erupted among the crew. People jealous of "Sailboat"'s friendly relationship and preferential treatment from the captain planted material to indict "Sailboat" for some crime [GM discretion of nature and severity of crime - I don't care], and the captain - even though he knew "Sailboat" wasn't guilty - was forced to disembark "Sailboat" at the first major port: Geb.

There, in order to try and start clearing his name and (perhaps) finding clues as to who did this to him, "Sailboat" would join the caravan heading to Rappan Athuk, unfamiliar with the stories ... but just as intrigued by them.

My brawler is designed with the idea of tanking in mind.

I ask this question because I would like to meet some GMs who drive their campaigns more on the backs of characters and back-stories than on specific setting.

I like Golarion just fine; it's just that my particular character doesn't necessarily fit into a lot of scenarios. Skull & Shackles is about the only one I've seen advertised recently that makes a ton of sense.

So, does anyone here write stories so that characters of a specific ilk come together, regardless of setting? Or is setting more necessary to the plot than the characters in it?

Submitted my backstory.

Nothing for me, DM HolyWater?

Would Sailboat be welcome at all?

I'll toss Sailboat in here, too, as a possible.

Here's my initial Half-Orc Brawler skeleton. I'll add more as I get the chance, if there's interest.
