roll 20 is not working for me atm for some reason.

Rydell moves to a spot to aid Rory from a semi safe position.

attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 2 - 1 = 20
damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 + 2 = 12

Rydell will move to a spot he can stay out of sight, but close enough where he can quickly aid his fellows.

stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

All things in life require risk. Going through the small gap can be just as much a risk as splitting up. The crucial part of the latter being that, whenever we fight, we are back together. Though, I doubt the orcs are expecting any trouble either way. They seem more focused on looting than fighting anyone. He pauses a moment.

I think Rory and his pets have the mobility necessary to withdraw should something happen. Perhaps he can make his way around, while the rest of us stick together and draw their attention.

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

last post should have been down to* as in, he has those remaining.

Rydell stoically slings his quivers over his shoulder but hands one to Aeril.

Just in case. Before running after the others. He notes the mobility afforded Rory due to his pets.

after that, Rydell is down 61 arrows, 20 cold-iron arrows, 20 blunt arrows.

Rydell looked over the orc. Its blood and sweat covering most of it.

If I have too. He casts a glance out over the town again

Either way, lets hurry.

He will find some cloth or similar to wrap the orc in before beginning to make for the safe zone.

how far away are the looters from the tower? (could I shoot them)

We can take him to the acolyte and the other injured. However, I fear we don't have the time to question him ourselves. There are still a plethora of orcs to slay.

He answers Imara, his gaze running over the town.

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

Rydell will run into and up the tower to Join Imara before firing an arrow at the drummer.

Rydell curses to himself as their animal companions start to drop.

At least its not us. He thinks, before moving further into the tower to better aim at one of the two orcs hurling javelins.

attack,DA: 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 2 - 1 = 14

Rydell shrugged.

Seems its time to go.

He rounds the door, bringing his bow up as he did so.

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 10
damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 + 2 = 9

is roll20 really laggy with anyone else lately, or just me?

I would like to apologize to you all for my absence. I don't like talking about it, as usually I can deal with it, however I have, slightly random swings of burnout and apathy over the course of the year where I lose all interest in almost everything. Where even things I normally greatly enjoy feel like a chore to do at best. Normally, I can push through, continue on and eventually the "burnout" as I've called it leaves. However I've hit a particularly rough patch this time around. That coupled with doubling my work time due to the holidays has left me with the desire to do nothing. However, that doesn't excuse my radio silence in this, and my other games. So again, I would like to apologize for that.

I think I'm on the upswing, and, if you would still have me I will happily rejoin the game properly in hopefully a few days time.

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

Rydell waits for Imara to make their move.

Rydell merely nods to the others. He was ready to proceed when they were.

I assume we will follow a short span after Imara?

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

Rydell grabs any arrows he can easily and quickly find, before running to catch up with the others.

I'm sorry. Forgot to say. I'm on vacation to celebrate mine and my grandpa's birthdays (18 and 16th respectively)from yesterday to Sunday. My labtop is broken so I wont have much access time to make posts. I'll see if I can make a post or two from my phone. But feel free to bot.

Aye he did, I'm going to go grab them while you check over those two. Make sure they don't get up again. The latter part of his sentence has a tone filled with venom.

Rydell will run in to grab the remaining arrows.

you mean phoenix managed to save you from the foul orcish magic and bring you back to us.

Rydell runs closer to the fray for a better angle, and fires off another shot.

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 2 - 1 = 19

Rydell continues to move closer, firing arrows as he moves. The knowledge that more arrows remained in the shop eased his concern at saving his shots.

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 - 1 = 12
damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 2 + 2 = 14

He berates himself as his arrow flies into the fire.

Rydell will give a nod to Aleril.

Make for the fallback area, there are some healers there that could help you. Are there any more left arrows in your store? I think we could both use the spares.

He says moving past and knocking another arrow before sending it flying towards Vorum.

Rydell moves up closer to the skirmish before knocking another arrow and firing, aiming again for Urnsul.

attack,FE,DA: 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 2 - 1 = 22

Rydell Immediately stops and fires two arrows at Urnsul, anger boarding on hate in his eyes. His first shot misses, but he steadies himself for the second. He aims at the small of her back. Aim small, miss small as he looses and watches it slam into her. He almost gives a small grin.

Honestly, I'm not sure whats more annoying during a move. Packing or Unpacking. Probably unpacking, because then you have to think about where you are putting everything.

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

Imara's arrows bring Rydell up to 44. Which, hopefully with his other special material arrows will keep him in the fight for a while. Rydell would take a potion of CLW, and a potion of divine favor.

Thank you Imara, and no, this should do for now. I have spare, I just am not keen on using those of special metal here if I don't need to.

Rydell will take a couple potions before looking back towards the tower.

It is possible, however at such a height I doubt we would have much secrecy, and time is still of the essence. I would rather we not waste time trying to remain hidden, for it to fail. There is a time to move quickly, and a time to stalk...

He pauses, an idea forming in his head.

That said, we could possibly use that potion of disguise self to have someone appear as an orc, and play the part of one running from us towards the tower. Perhaps that would give at least one of us a way to surprise them.

He says, glancing at Imara.

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

I'd rather push on, since that is what Rydell would do IC. And at this point, we have enough resources to carry on the fight.

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

Rydell's face softens and the hint of a smile shows as Orvil heals his wounds. He gives a small nod of appreciation before his feature harden once more, looking towards the tower.

I think I get back 2 usable arrows... hah.

Move with the others, Rydell will grab the javelins and sling them over his back. They weren't as good as his bow, but he was quite literally blowing through the arrows he had.

Rory, give a potion to Imara as well, you two are more likely to fight in melee, I'd prefer both of you at least having some way to heal yourselves if needed.

though If I can't find more arrows, I'll be joining you two soon.

M half-elf Ranger (inflitrator) 3 HP:30/30| AC: 17 |Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Perc:+10, Stealth:+9 | Init: +3| darkvision 60ft, lowlight vision

Rydell bolts upright, grabbing his blade and nearly swinging on Orvil, he stops however and lets out a "tsk" before looking away.

Dammit. One slip up and I... I went down just like before..

He slams his fist into the dirt before standing up.

Sorry, I shouldn't be such a burden. I made a mistake, but I'm better than that.

After a quick glance around, he sighs slightly. Glad everyone is okay.

His wounds are quite bad still, but he silently picks up his blade and bow and goes about quickly grabbing any arrows he can salvage from the bodies. Quietly stewing and berating himself for being so careless.

Rydell is still bloodied, but he isn't keen on asking for healing IC at this moment. Though may not decline such offered.

Honestly, I feel like we would be overrun with the normal rules for orcs. The fact they are only getting one turn, instead of until dead is the only reason we are still up lol. I'll be honest, I ran this for a group at level 3, and under normal ferocity rules they... well it didn't go well for them.

Rydell stows the weapon he picked up along side his blade and once again draws his bow before moving to follow the others.

Single move

he shouts. Sara, You and Agrit fall back and get healing. He quickly points towards the "safe" zone where a few militia, acolytes and Rabus are holding out.

Rydell deftly dodges the falling debris, mildly cursing under his tongue. He runs and grabs the morningstar before heading out of the building.

Is everyone out? he asks looking around.

Rydell, seeing the orc having fallen prone will aid the others in getting agrit out of the building.

I would normally delay, but for expedience, I'll say he moves to agrit and tries to help drag her out of the building. TO note, He would move to aid the others to a spot where he could make an AoO if the orc stands. I'll roll it just in case.

apologies, was unable to post from friday to today.

With the path blocked, and with Sara and Agrit likely desperately needing aid, Rydell, takes a chance and tries to jump up and spring off the wall above the orc lashing out with a strike as he does so. He lands almost steadily on the other side behind it and finally getting Sara, and then agrit, in his view.

Hearing the groan of the building he curses.

We need to get out of here before the building falls in on our heads!

Rydell moves to fight the orc alongside Imara. Cutting a deep gash alongside its lower back.

Rydell gives a nod towards Sara. Asking if they were OK is pointless, as its clear they are not, and the distraction could prove fatal.

Rydell has to take a double move to reach the house and area of the conflict.
