Grimacing from the bolt now lodged in his chest Rolar turns and advances on the wight "Oh bloody hell Keloch, why did ye go and git yerself turned into a bloody undead fer?" As he closes to within striking distance Rolar swings Heart Rend out wide "Don't worry friend, it will be over soon and then ye can rest." With that, the mighty axe comes swinging in with an almost unnatural speed. Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

GM R0B0GEISHA, Was I supposed to take damage when I got hit by that bolt? I didn't see a reflex save or a damage roll but the narrative said it hit me in the shoulder. Also, how does initiative work in pbp? It looks like it's a bit flexible as three of the PC's get to act first in any order, but after that who goes? I didn't see where the undead ended up in any initiative order. Does it go before me? after me?

Hey Nisa, can you provide any more info on your companion? I'm trying to differentiate what I as a person know vs. what Rolar knows. It appears it's talking to you telepathically? Is this a visible companion? If I saw you whispering to it would it be obvious you're talking to it or would it appear you are talking to yourself?

He walks over to a nearby log, stands it on end, and with a mighty blow brings the axe down and splits in clean in two. "What say ye friend?" and with a wink he tosses the two pieces next to the open door.

Rolar slows as the others begin to notice the cabin. His shift from a relaxing stroll to a combat posture is done with a fluid grace found only in seasoned warriors. GM, What's your view on knowledge checks when the appropriate knowledge is related (within reason) to the characters backstory? For instance, Rolar fought with a mercenary company all over southeastern Nirmathas but I do not have knowledge geography. Am I am to just assume he has no knowledge of the region at all or is he allowed to know major landmarks and the such based on his backstory?

Question about order of postings for the RP side of the game. Do we wait for each person to post then "move" to the next turn (almost like initiative order in combat), or can I for example start to engage with Skalla over his attitude toward Nissa right away?

A burly dwarf steps up next to Aubrin and grins; A combination of dirt, undergrowth, and dried blood cover his full length chainmail. A shield strapped to his back appears to have gone a few rounds with a Storm Giant and a spotless and well cared for dwarven war axe rests with it’s head on the ground next to his feet, a stark contrast to his filthy armor. “Well met, the names Rolar Lonebeard.” As Rolar introduces himself his eyes quickly take in each member of the group in turn, lingering perhaps a bit too long on the Hobgoblin, and coming to rest on the half-elf. “Me hangover fixen friend here tells me ye’ve been making quite a nuisance of yerselves to these flea invested Ironfangs. Well, I happened to learn a thing or two about cuttin down hobgoblins with Clan Hammerhand.” Anyone who’s from the area would know of the Dwarven Mercenary Company and their victories over the Molthuni monster regiments. “The Hammerhands are routed and Rolar Lonebeard stands ready to avenge their honor. Me Axe and Shield are yers if ye’ll have me.” As he finishes speaking he hefts his axe into the air, and closes the short distance between himself and the half-elf extending his hand in the traditional human manner of greeting.

Do I need to do something in order to show up on the characters tab or does the GM add me to that?

I'm proceeding under the assumption that my backstory remains intact except the very end. First question. I just added all my critical stats so you can see them with each post but I wanted clarification on bonuses. On saves for instance I have a +5 bonus vs. spells and spell like abilities. Combined with my natural +1 it's a total of +6. Do I put +6 in the parentheses after the saves or do I just put the +5?
