Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Have a blessed Christmas folks!

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Robyte at the consoles, taps on multiple screens, trying to get some extra boost to the engines, rerouting non critical energy to output, but the programs seem to not want to work, even with all the input he can dish out, a bottleneck forms and the code just gets scrambled

Outspeed: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"Paid for going where we were heading? Sounds good, and we get to help someone out in a bit of a bind. Win all around. I'll try to make sure it's secure and locked away from prying hands and paws and other appendages" Robyte offers his own input

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"Agreed. Don't mind some extra hands, and I've got six!" he laughs

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

While Skip takes his shot at the creature, Robyte quickly sends a string of trash code at the technology part of the enemy, trying to make it glitch out

Amplified Glitch: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

Laser: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Fire and Pen 1

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"Only you can tell us that" he chuckles

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"Only does t look safe NOW, I'm sure we can scavange a few nice things from there and make those safe" he shrugs

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Robyte looks his companion over "Bed rest for at least a day. Dead organ doctor said so. I'll be taking you to the ship. No argument" after explaining everything what was asked, he contacts the others to explain to them too

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"I'll stick here with him. Skip and I will keep him covered while he does the icky thing" he points a claw to his very wide open mouth yuck"

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"Sounds rather uncomfortable. And I don't think I'm the Skitter for the job" he declines his own participation

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

He flinches

"That doesn't sound fun... Not at all"

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"Well, can't say I'd like going against her, but we also need the work. So as long as it doesn't cause direct harm, it could be exciting"

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"If we work with Niva, I don't mind, she helped me, saved my life even, so she's good in my data banks" he gives a couple of thumbs up

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"Niva? How's the 'old' rodent doing now a days? Last time a saw her, a mountain was collapsing on us!" he laughs mirthily

"And yes, I dabble in robotics you could say" he pats Skip with his lower extremities

old as in old friend. Not old as in aged

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

My spider tank is coming along nicely

//°°\\

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

With the newly adjusted and installed seat, the small Skitter could now easily keep up with the group. Skip scuttling along with Robyte happily seated near the back of his skittering drone.

"I may be called Robyte, at your service" he does a salute with his top most arm with a wide toothy grin

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Still saving up

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

menagerie, quick escape

my 2cr so far

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

So, maybe the GM could allow us to build our own ship? :)

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

So he can now glitch out weapons etc and on his way to have his own personal tank

Skip has got a riding saddle. And weapon specialisation

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

huzzah for the level up, and apologies for last week or so, just life

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

the wonders of blind actions

"We have a hidden door, if she used it, be careful, never know what's on the other side waiting"

Skip in response, gets ready to fire it's artillery laser at an enemy behind the door

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"I'll send Skip for support! he calls out as the large drone scuttles forward to give some support if the enemy pops up again

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Sorry for the delay, last 3 days have been hectic, up at 4am every day, will post actions tomorrow.

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Robyte quickly signals an aim adjustment towards Skip and then it takes another shot at the Drow (green) behind the table

Pew!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 5 Fire Pen 1

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

I really thought I posted. My bad! Fixing

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Perc: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Skip takes another shot at the enemies they are currently engaged with

Pew!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

But clearly the hit messed up his currently running aim protocol

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Skip again takes a shot at its previous target, easily melting the table to blast into it

Pew!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Fire!: 1d10 ⇒ 3 Pen 1

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Skip takes a shot at DE (Green), Robyte hoping the natural ability to pierce armor will help his companion cut through the feeble cover. But the laser seems to have a short as only sparks fly at the attempt

Laser Pew!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 8

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Skip opens up with a single shot of its artillery laser, while Robyte gets into cover

Pew!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Fire!: 1d10 ⇒ 3

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Knowing the layout of his own rig, it was easy to work it upside down as he bring all six his arms behind his back, like any trained military personal when 'at ease', as he activates Skip. Guiding him to be ready to fire his laser at the first sign of combat

"Affirmative. Setting up Skip to attack. Just say who and when" he quickly responds

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

He gives Nik 6 thumbs up with a toothy grin

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"We sure have had quite the history with backstabs. Hopefully this time it'll be better. Expect the worst, hope for the best. So let's cover our negotiator, shall we?"

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Finally moving into range, the large drone levels it's heavy laser and fires off a shot

Pew: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Burn: 1d10 ⇒ 1 Pen 1

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

yeah. Didn't think it'll take this lone. Skip will move as far as possible up to assist

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Seeing his companions are handeling the robot, Robyte keep son the controls, as Skip keeps protecting him

can get there to help, so just overwatch and monitoring. not much else to do

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Robyte will stay on cams and Skip on overwatch close to his terminal

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Robyte will keep monitoring the security feed, Skip keeping overwatch for him

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Pew: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Damage: 2d10 ⇒ (10, 8) = 18 Pen 2

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Can skip get his readied attack? if not, Skip will return to robyte to give him some support as he's alone at the terminal

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

By the sound of things, people have moved in quite far. I can only check the map tonight

But I need to make sure. If the one moved out of cover, and Skip readied to shoot, can he make his attack then against it?

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"The cleaner is near the middle door. Still no visual on the Anacite" he tries to keep his allies informed

Skip scans the area for a target

readied action if one of them comes into view again, to shoot at it

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"More incoming. Cleaning and anacite, but lost visual on the anacite! he warns, just as Skip takes another shot at the security guard, but it's cover does the job to protect it

Pew: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Robyte quickly points out the offending machine to Skip, which in turn, rotates his artillery laser and unleashes a concentrated beam of heat at the weaponized roomba

Pew!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Laser!: 1d10 ⇒ 4 Fire

"Salvage some it it's parts! I want one of those for the ship!" he chimes in excitedly

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

hard on the phone. So someone could just move Robyte and his +1 with the group please

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

apologies. I dont know the skill in SF to open locks. If it's engineering I'll roll for it

Engineering: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

"Skip and I will cover the door, maybe Xevras too, you get what we need and let's get out of here asap!" he states as he takes cover while Skip gets into a more covered position, it's laser now covering the door

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Robyte cracks all 6 hands' knuckles as he proceeds to Jack into the computer, his own rig also starting up as he starts delving into the machines core

"Let's see what I can dig up for us" he does this in practically 1/4 of the time

Comp: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Mechanic (Hand of the All-Code)

Robyte takes cover as Skip powers up his laser, and fires it's artillery beam at the enemy

Pew!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Sizzle: 1d10 ⇒ 5

DM Dickie wrote:

Well, we can call it a reskin then, if you're okay with it not providing cover. That seems to be a little more than the basic mods would grant. The problem is that I don't know that providing cover would be worth naming it an advanced mod.

Perhaps for flavor you're inside the drone, but it would take an additional basic mod to grant cover as though you were in a vehicle? I'm open to opinions on that option.

I realised I never replied on this. Wow. My bad. And I don't mind getting 2 mods.
