Rizzen reads the scroll and information about the matriarch. A grin appears on his face. "I am ready to proceed. I suggest taking out any casters first. Lolths followers have nasty spells at their disposal." -Posted with Wayfinder
"I used some abilities in chasing that skinny man. So I need some rest." -Posted with Wayfinder
"Oh I am looking forward to this one. Drow usually levitate in case of combat so we need a tactic against that. They will also use poisons and darkness to their aid. A daylight spell works wonders if we can use it." Rizzen says with a grin. -Posted with Wayfinder
Xizor wrote: We can just assume you meant me. "Quite an unusual adventure." is the hooded being's comment upon its return to their employer's hall. Spotting Rizzen at the table, it asks "How did your portion of it resolve? You clearly needed less time for your hunt than we did to deliver the stone." With an annoyed look on his face, Rizzen anwers "I ended up in some wierd place, the land of the boogeyman he called it. While we were at an impasse at first I was gaining ground. He was hard to hit, while his attacks did nothing to me. If I had turned myself invisible to suprise him I could have killed him quick enough. But realizing his weakness he ran for reinforcement in mist form. Unfortunately I didn't have any good methods available to deal with it. As the other reinforcements would do the same, it seemed senseless to stay and I grew bored waiting so I returned here." -Posted with Wayfinder
The coming three weeks I will be traveling as part of a vacation (will tell where afterwards). Suffice to say my posting rate might slow down a little as I will only have my mobile with me and I thus can't do level up stuff very well. I will stay in motels which often have free wifi so to the best of my ability I will try not to hold people back, but please do not be afraid to gmpc me. Apologies for the inconvenience.
spell caster check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
if that failed: Rizzen sighs as he hears reinforcement coming. Killing them won't advance his goals anyway and he doesn't want to spend eternity in this plane or whatever it is. "I guess we will meet again, little pussy. Let's hope you prove some more of a challenge next time." Rizzen calls after the fleeing ghost cloud. He takes the idol out of his pocket while reverting to his normal drow form and breaks it, teleporting back to the hall filled with skeletal monkeys.
Rizzen taunts the fey into fighting. He is sure he can get him eventually.
Damn, ac 28? Actually since he is a weretiger, Rizzen has dr10/silver. He also has fast healing 5, so the bleeding would stop automatically, with the heal he has now taken 0 dmg. His white fur is cut three times, but the wounds are shallow and close almost instantly. He starts laughing at the fey creature.
dirty trick (blind) flurry of maneuvers: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31
bite: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 11 - 2 = 13
Actually Rizzen was invisible until he threw his fireball at the boogey man. In his weretiger form he is a large white/black tiger. Much more muscles are noticable under his clothing where normally you hardly see any at all. Some more armor and more black hair but this works. Also I think Sanriel's tremorsense would have helped unless the creature flew away :). behind the portal: Rizzen laughs at the boogeyman. "Oh please, I have been to hell and back, I can survive a little darkness." Seeing that it had some good effect, he throws another fireball at the creature and then runs straight in after it.
Rizzen flies over the explosion and comes crashing down on the Fey with fangs and claws cutting away at it.
and that is without sneak attacks ;)
Having some trouble understanding what is going on exactly and that might be due to English not being my native language. An alcove is a dead end normally right? So the Fey guy just walked through a portal? if so: Rizzen follows in the alcove, telling the others to follow him in here. He is tracking the opponent. Once on the other side Rizzen again sniffs the air to pinpoint the man. And throws a quickened fireball in his direction. fireball reflex 21: 6d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 3, 6, 6) = 22
scent: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (10) + 28 = 38 not exactly sure how it works but I should be able to pinpoint and track him using scent. If Rizzen knows its location he will use a quickened fireball on it. -Posted with Wayfinder
Rizzen dismisses his levitation powers and drops to the floor with feather fall. During his drop he activates his lycanthropic heritage. He sniffs the air and moves towards the door, trying to follow and pinpoint the fleeing opponent. perception: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (16) + 28 = 44 -Posted with Wayfinder
Hard to think of what to do know. I'm guessing that Sanriel will pull the other rod down as well. With a nod back to the others Rizzen pops invisible and sneaks inside.
stealthy isnt he: Inside Rizzen will scan the room for whatever is in there and slowly rise to the ceiling using his levitation ability. Taking extra notice of the stranger in the room and studying him in case he needs to make a deadly attack against him later. perception: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40 sense motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 Sense motive to check what type of person it is, how strong etc. Perception to see how he is dressed and armed. Also roll for the room itself, any traps that are easily visible from above?
I think Drow in general view all other races as slaves. Except perhaps the dangerous mind flayers and aboleth. Demons of course are viewed differently, as every demon sent by Lolth is a divine messenger.
Of course there are specific exceptions, but those are very rare. Even with his unique position and strength Artemis was viewed as a slave by most Drow. So I imagine that even if you have a non-drow that is respected in one house, all other drow regard it as a slave. @Yuugasa I think it would be best if everyone was around the same level so that the players can play together. Or did you have something completely different in mind?
I read the 6 books about Lolth's silence and of course Salvatore's story about Drizzt. Greatly enjoyed the Menzoberranzan plots. Would enjoy a game with spider kissers ;). I suggest the campaign to be a bit higher leveled to allow for the player character being able to push others around. Maybe some daughters of matron mothers, wizards of Sorcere, and mercenaries from Bregan D'aerthe. Sounds fun. Heck someone could even play Artemis Entreri ;). Dibs on Kimmuriel. Shame that mind flayers are not part of pathfinder :(. Perhaps it is fun to have the group be of one of the lower houses that is working its way to the top, eventually defeating mighty Bearne for prime position.
Rizzen is actually not undead :P. Also the alcoves are next to us or in the room? My actions will depend on it.
Rizzen shakes his head at Zorryn's actions.
Observing the small shadows appear he gets ready for action.
"Well let's find out what our drow failed experiment has been up to shall we." Rizzen says as the group goes in the other tunnel. -Posted with Wayfinder
I am already in shadowrun and warhammer 40k dark heresy games so I am good thanks :) -Posted with Wayfinder
"A small flying aboleth. It would almost be cute if not for the slime it secretes. Can it life out of the water for long enough?" Rizzen observes while they walk back to the main cave. -Posted with Wayfinder
Rizzen dismisses his orb of darkness and drops down from the ceiling using feather fall, landing amids his companions.
Anyway let's go back into the other tunnel, the drow experiment is probably getting himself into trouble. Inpatient youngsters."
Rizzens actions depend on the aboleths next move. He can drop down and attempt a death strike if he wants. -Posted with Wayfinder
Rizzen continues to study the creature for his death attack. -Posted with Wayfinder
Rizzen will levitate to the ceiling and move himself closer to the aboleth. His tactics are normally to pounce from above. He will study his subject to make a deadly strike if needed. -Posted with Wayfinder
Drow always look to the ceiling since they invented the attacks from above with levitate ;) Rizzen starts floating towards the ceiling to get a better view of the water and the area and places an orb of deeper darkness on himself (only those with see in the darkness ability can see through it). Something deflated the goblin and is still around here, would that be the thing that controlled the goblin or just killed the goblin.
Still hoping for an answer to my question ^^. BTW Ckkxxchtki, what happens to the goblin when you disconnect? "Fine fine, let's save the little goblin that is not a goblin from itself. It might agitate something we have no interest in agitating." He walks after the little drow girl.
Rizzen pokes Viktor in the side with his elbow.
Oh well, let's get to action. I guess any direction is as good as any." Rizzen does not take the front, there are enough monsters present for that, like the goblin and the girl. He will take a flanking position to the group and walk very quietly and stealthy. He also has a constant detect magic from his noble drow ability. So he could have seen the magic aura's of everyone's equipment.
Inspecting the surroundings Rizzen says
Shall we let the brave non-goblin try his best at grabbing the stone on his own? We can always assist him when it is too difficult for him. "
Rizzen laugh generously. "Haha quite fashionable. I spent so many years raiding surfacers my eyes got quite adapted to the surface light. Always amusing when a cleric tries to blind me with a daylight spell. I hope our other daylight challenged companions have similar solutions? It would be quite limiting to our progress otherwise." -Posted with Wayfinder
"Hmmm, how convenient... Oh well, what is the worst that could happen." -Posted with Wayfinder
Rizzen lets out a little laugh. -Posted with Wayfinder
Zorryn wrote: Zorryn said stuff, then he said "I kill drow." Rizzen smirks "Yes, yes, you kill Drow, I kill Drow, our little monster over there (indicating Clikk) probably kills Drow. And I am sure you know...Drow take members any race as slaves and kill others at their whim, because all other races are nothing in the eyes of Drow. Now let us stop with this useless male posturing over who has killed what and who has the biggest claw. It bores me. So unless you are going to start biting, I suggest you stop barking." He says with a yawn. Rizzen readies an action in case Zorryn actually does want to go head to head, but I am not going to say what ;). I don't want to get into pvp, but I mean Rizzen isn't going to ignore challenges like that. So I'm doing my best to dismantle the situation.
When the robed man enters The elf leans forward "Ah greeting Xizor, I see they called you in as well. Your abilities will surely be of use." You recognize the elf shape as Rizzen, he always has that shape for business dealings. You had a couple of dealings together before. "Oh and do let the goblin try, they are always so entertaining when used as shock troops. It will give the rest of us fair warning of what is up ahead." He says with an amused voice. He leans back in his chair before continuing.
