Yeah I'm waiting for someone with a torch to come by so Ritmush can become miraculously better. Also it does sound like you have that correct.

Ritmush brows knit as he looks in the direction of those talking " Uh, wouln' tha mean our fancy fish gill magic runs out? Ah' mean ah'd likely be alright buh' somea' you wear clunky armor an' stuff. Got ah' idea as tah how that thing works? Be great if weh' coul' jam it inta' a pot an' poin' it ah things we don' want seein' us." The scruffy human suggests with not a lick of sarcasm.

Because that sounds perfectly safe and unlikely to backfire. Ritmush's brain is a strange place.

Ritmush smiles as the creature goes down and looks ready to say something. Whatever it is is stalled as he seems to concentrate for a moment and then flails his arms

Ritmush stares dumbly at the creature his goggles glinting off the creatures mystical light.
" wow.. tha' was bright. Ah.. how tha' heck'd it do that? Ah nevah mind ah'll ask tha' when it stops makin' everyone blind." The human asks, noting everyone except him near the thing seemed to be blind. The human moving around to the other sid eof the creature and punching it in the head with a gauntlet studded with metal scrap.

Ritmush moves up and looks at the lizard-y fish frog thing brow quirked at the things strange features. " Uh.. is'az thin' blind? wait rock guy why are you blind if its blind.. ah.. what? Tha' heck iz'at thin anyway?"
The human queries before lining up a potshot with his crossbow.
" Meh. Ah'll figure it out latah."

Ritmush on the other hand was staring at the cave wall and muttering to himself while Unbolath did other less important things.
The young one blinking as the scuffle began before moving to get a better view.

Assuming I can't see where I am ritmush would move on his turn to see this thing. Moving the dancing lights/ conjured torches into the room so he can properly see stuff.

Ritmush walks a bit closer to the corpse and shrugs as others talk.
" Soh are we ignorin' tha' fact ah her all bein' in one piece if it was somethin' like twinkle an' its siblin's? Cuz ah've yet to see turn down food wit'ou somethin' bein' wrong wit it."

Ritmush taps his foot and bobs in place a few times as Azariah and Stella look things over while the remaining group covers them.
"So.." the human leads looking around the room.
"there is a suspisious amounta'h whole lotta' nothin' round here."

The young mage then looking to his newly crafted staff and shrugs.
" ah'd figured bribin' 'em with bacon or a second thumpin'd keep Twinkle here all friendleh'."
The idea that cat sized insects did not like bacon being an obvious impossibility.

Ritmush grins at the human woman as she speaks
" Yeah buh' they still wanna' be'm cuz nobody wans'tah get on tha' bad sideah someon'll turn ya inta ah wombat when riled. Jus' like how tha' folk's wit' a mean streak to em' don' much appreciate bein' called on it buh still do it."

As the group progesses ritmush, staff of firebug in hand, uses his summoned lanterns or lighted stick to banish the darkness as they moved. Though if given the option he'll certainly prod rocks or dark corners just to see what sort of crawly things happened to appear from his actions.

Ritmush leans on his stick and grins as he helps anyone attempting to get up the cliff.

Ritmush tilts his head at Unbolath as he talks looking to his new stick and grinning at the comment. Though for those paying attention there is a flash of darker emotions glinting in the young ones features before they are snuffed. Now if only I could look at that lantern without remembering what those people did to that poor ratperson. Don't een know where Kerminiyah got off to but while she was a jerk that other rat person. Thokka or whatever the heck her name was, she didn't deserve that.

" Seems kina' weird place fer moss. Thou' ah doubt bugs lik' this'd keep loot. An' yeah ah suppose meh Bug-onna'-stick will suffice fer when ah can't use them glow' balls ah' mine." Ritmush replies as he wags the stick back and fourth a bit looking at the object with a smile.
"Makes meh' feel lik' onea them all powah fill beard-y types. 'Beware foul brigand for thou stand in the presence of Hsumtir the Archwizard of fire!' " the scruffy human states, puffing out his chest and planting his staff in a faux dynamic pose enunciating with all his skill to add weight to his new image of 'archwizard'. Though that only lasts a scant moment before Ritmush snorts at his own pompous presentation, his voice wavering as he chuckled in between breaths.
" Ah.. aah. Mebeh ah' shoul' -heh- get meh a hat. All them -Ha- beard-y types need ah' hat."

Ensuring his new pet Twinkle was unlikely to fall off and die Ritmush looks around. Seeing a ledge the short one decides that he needs to be on top of that ledge. Using his newly crafted bug-on-a-stick the scruffy human levers himself in an upward direction.

Ritmush dispels his portion of the goo as he gleefully picks up the stunned bug. Though the concept of how precisely he was going to carry around a beetle the size of a chunky house cat had not occurred until he picked it up. The scruffy one prods his newly collected bug before tying it off to the top of his pack with a scarf and some thick gauge wire.

" Nah, ah'm fine. Twinkle's is still twitchin' so ah' think he's alright too. No ideah' wha' sorta gobbldy g+*$ yer' talkin' bout'm buh they sure do look cool. Anyone know wha' these thin's eat?"[b]
With that the human looks over in the direction of Kleora

Ritmush looks to his crushed bug with a frown, scanning the field and spying the remaining live bug. "Ah-ha!" The human calls as he moves toward the creature with a smile on his lips.

Gliding over the grease like it hardly exists the human attempts to gently bludgeon the hapless creature into unconsciousness.

Ritmush examines the bug in front of him and the one nearest him seeming to be attempting to divine something he considered important. "Eh, ye'll do." The scruffy, waterloged human says as he swings with his club.

See that sounds like we need someone else to cast grease as well. There is never enough grease. They even made a greater version just so you could have more. Though really with 2 10ft bursts we are likely going to be able to force each of the fire beetles still alive to avoid falling on their faces.

Ritmush seems to be in thought as he looks at the bugs and draws a club. "Ima beat one up an' call it skippeh' he's gon'ah be meh pet." ritmush states as he looks over the bugs in question seeming to be deciding on which one he intended to inflict ownership on. The human muttering magic as he does so and greasing the largest collection of bugs he can see.

Ritmush has just drawn a weapon. Standard action to cast grease. Likely targeting yellow,teal,pink and purple with the effect. Do any of the bugs have something unique about them? Assuming it doesn't get smashed ritmush would want the one with something like a broken mandible or an interesting discoloration.

Ritmush looks blandly at the big pile of bugs before smacking his lips. It ain' bacon buh its good enough. Is'aht wha' tha' glowy goop is fer? Tried tah' make soup out of it once. Tha' didn' go well." ritmush chatters, near oblivious as the bug begin to advance. The young one obviously distracted by all the interesting things in the cave.

Ritmush being quite distracted looks at the newly placed potion in his hand and then back to his belt noting its absence. He grins sheepishly at the cleric.
While plenty in the room interested the young man none of it was obvious enough to be useful in the near future for him to buy.
The scruffy one following the group as they head to the lake.

The pond

Ritmush is a bit leery about joining hands with everyone, though after a few moments of peering at the cleric seems to realize if the man had wanted to turn him into a newt he could have picked a much better time.

Ritmush pulls out a fairly well cared for dagger and makes sure most of his gear is packed away proper. Seeming to think of something the young man mutters words and a quartet of ghostly lights appear. They then immediately plunge into the water.
I don't know if the cantrip dancing lights works underwater. They only act like torches for lighting so I think its possible but it would be good to know how it works in your world.

And after moving the orbs around a bit puts his dagger in between his teeth and follows after John.

Ritmush after a few minutes of hanging over the items like some kind of deranged vulture and muttering seems to give up on.. well whatever it was he was doing and shrug. "coul'a jus said no.." The young one mutters as he sifts through the voluminous pile of belongings, at least half of which seemed to be sharp and dangerous.
the young man exhuming three different mostly complete traps, various sprockets and springs, garlic, a rolls of twine and thread, and oddly enough soap appearing in the dirty young mans hands. The human seeming to give the object a confused quirk of his brow before tossing it in the 'not-waterproof' pile.
" When tha' heck'd ah get that..." the Ritmush mutters as he picks up his pile of garlic, soap, chalk, and cured meat. Several large hunks of bread of venerable age and two serviceable torches remaining outside the pack.
Not sure why I have those. Heck when was the last time I even ate bread? Weird. Plus I don't need torches when I've got magic. Can probably get them off someone else if they are needed.

Ritmush squints somewhat and puts his goggles on as he glances around the mans shop "Hey Diana, yanno wha's anyah this stuff's supposetah do?" the young man mutters under his breath as others mill about and shop. The human making sure to give each item of interest in the shop a long-ish look to let Diana work her magic.
Who knows, perhaps one of these things could actually be useful.

Was it ever established if the money ritmush received from Fort horizon was considered legal currency here? Ritmush has 300 dollars after he traded the rare coins he found and I never got around to spending it on anything useful so its just sitting in ritmush's pocket doing nothing at the moment.

Ritmush reaches into a pouch and retrieves a small bag stuffed to the gills, a few errant lengths of paper protruding. The young man seeming to look at the wall and shrug.
"Dunno ah'bou' any ah that buh tha barman took meh money so ah guess these paper things work fer' coin. How much'd what'ya need's gonna cost? Er.. are we gonna need it? Migh be bes ta talk wit' tha' Joram guy firs. He migh' know a trick aroun' tha' watery part."
Ritmush states as he seems to think on the wall further.
" Yanno' on that topic how mucha' cost is it fer' ah piece ah' wall?"

Ritmush shrugs as he plays with the shiny new net. "Well tha's gonna make thin's easier ah' guess. Seems thar' won' be time tah look at this thing much more then ah' wanted tah' figure out how it shot that net. Wonder if there's a way to jus.. unhinge this whole chunk so ah' can take it wit' meh." The human mutters mostly to himself as he continues to prod the machine and attempt to obtain things that didn't technically belong to him.
Aint his robot either what with it breaking his house and all. I'm just doing him a favor.

Ritmush tinkers with the flap on the machine and looks back at the clean and shiny net it had shot. "We'll tah beh honest ah' wanna looka' this thin' fer a bit. All's been said so far is yer Pa's in tha' hills an if that view ah got before ah came here isa' sign there's alotta hills between here an' wherever he got up tah."
The human staring blankly at the net launching device and puzzling over it does not prevent his natural kobold born looting talents from kicking in. The young human rapidly coming into possession of the strangely made net.
"Neat." Ritmush states as he hold it up and looks at it.

Ritmush nudges the robot he continued to examine with a foot. "Shame this buck'at ah' bolts ain' able tah offera' clue."

" So this Knonnir's a parta'h yer warre- uh.. 'family' righ? An' he left somewhere an' din' come back after tinkerin' wit this thin?"
Ritmush considers, stroking a beard he very clearly did not have in thought. The human then looking over at the wall in question and shrugging "Ah' dunno think it adds ah.. 'Character' tah' tha place. Lessa wooden box now. The human comments as he walks through the new opening to the machine on the other side.
"Man ah' dunno where he foun' this thin' sah' shame it was'n able tah talk. Mebbeh it woulda' ben' able tah give us a clue." The human complains as he kicks one of the robots trailing legs before twitching and standing a bit straighter.
"Wait.. can yah do tha'? Ah mean now tha' it ain' movin' if we fixed it ah little bih coul' ya?" The human mutters quietly to himself as he circles the robot.

Ritmush, who had no experience with unconscious people excepting drunks had been hovering around his new friend with obvious concern. Eyeing the new arrivals but letting them check her over. At least one of them seemed to know what they were ding after all. Plus my ghost friend would say if there is a problem. She knows everything. Stella's arrival to her side and well intentioned question heralds Ritmush giving a light noise of annoyance.
" Well'ah spect' tha' big gapin' hole ina her pantry migh be one thin'. We'h did jus' go throu' tha' effert ah' gettin' tha' damn thin' turned on earlier tahday an' now not only is it broken, there's chunksa' wall everywhere! Bran' new door tho' so ah' guess it ain' al bad." Ritmush complains, hand going to his chin as he examines the new portal with everyone crowded around the broken machine.
"Coul' fit onea them fallin' blade traps righ ovah there." The human mutters already off in his own little world.
"Oi, when yer' don' proddin that thin' ah wanna turn. It launched ah' net at meh an I wanna' figure ouh' how. Sure as heck didn' throw it." Ritmush comments as he pays more attention to what everyone was doing with his friend awake again.

Ritmush rushes to catch the young girl before she lands on her face, picking the young girl up and shuffling her over to the kitchen table in a semi-comfortable position.
"Don' spose yah coul' do that tah' her wall could ya?" Ritmush asks over his shoulder as Stella fixes painful hole in Azariah's torso.
" Dunno wha' tha' thing is. As tah' wha' it ain' I can say from roun' here is'ah good start. If yah wanna drag it back inta' that room it jus busted outta ah' could probly show yah' somma' wha Val was doin' til she's awake an' able tah answer tha' 'erself."

That -4 for shooting into Melee is never fun. Though Stella's bard song helps some at least.
@acid splashers. Bard song works on acid splash. You might want to add that +1 to hit/damage next time you do it.

Ritmush gives an irritated frown as Unbolath and the scythe lady both move up to fight the construct, wincing as the machine lands a solid strike. Mah, why they gotta stan' in tha' wayah' tha' shot.

Confirm: 1d20 ⇒ 91d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Nope. Still, 9 damage a solid shot. And ritmush does before nearly everyone else so if it drops the thing we can do other actions. Like deactivating it in a way that doesn't destroy it.

He looks over to Stella on her question and points to the protruding cylinder "That thin' ovah there."

I always forget how fearsome a character with a greatsword is at low levels.
@Azariah: the character down the hallway from you is Unbolath I think. John is the guy at the windows on the other side of the house. additionally the grease is gone at the end of round 4 so thats a nice bonus. That way we can approach from multiple sides. Assuming unbolath doesn't chop the thing in half next round.
@Kleora, looks like you might want to roll a D20 instead of that D2 you got there.

Ritmush seeing the thing standing again swears and pulls out his crossbow. Stay down yah, bucket ah scrap! An' ah know ya didn' say anythin' bou a killer robot buh unless yah' gotah' way ta' talk to tha' thin' ah don' think were gonna be able tah fin' out fer sure!"

Following that a strange expression crosses the humans brows as he turns to look at Val.
"Hey, yah thin' if ah' could push more 'lectricity inta' that thing tha' it woul' help or jus' make thin's worse." the human asks with little care to his surroundings seeming entirely at home in the chaos of the battle.

Ritmush on being directed to turn around looks behind him at the wall puzzled. "Oh righ'tha robot! Wait wasn' it tur'-"
Any more of his words cut off with the sounds of chunked wall the young human hears the press of a air and suppresses the desire to gloat when the machines net goes wide.
" Val! When'tha heck'd tha' star' workin' again?!? Diana why'd ya ferget to mention that this might be ah' Murderous Robot earlier?" Ritmush exclaims in exasperation looking from the robot to Val. The scruffy one reaches an arm down to help Val up and points to the door
"C'mon, we need tah' get outta' here!"

Ritmush will assist Val in getting out from under the table and escape with her out the rooms door. Would be a shame if she got crushed by a rampaging robot after all.

With all the subtlety and grace of a drunken ox Ritmush rushes to the door ahead of him and surveys the room, charging over to his newly made friend with a look of concern.
"Oh'good'yer'alrigh'ah'dthough'ah'lefta'trap'rsomethin'anya'dgottendis'intr agrafted er somethin'" Ritmush babbles as he looks at his Val scrutinizing her arms and legs to be sure that yes these we still the same limbs and he hadn't incinerated his friend.
"Yeh' are al'righ yeah? Hrmm.. buh' why'd ya scream if nothin' happened? Hey dih' ah' hear something thumpin', yah' got ah' badger infestation er' somethin'?"

I'm assuming the interior door is unlocked and Ritmush can make a bee line for his friend. Do feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. As she was last in the workshop it seems reasonable he'd go that way first keeping an eye out for "Val shaped" things.

Due to the blue tint on the map I believe that what you are moving to might be a window. It would let you get a view of whats going on though. (assuming he could hear that rounds noise.)

I moved my token to the door of Khonnir's house. Unbolath hasn't actually moves his token yet. From what I can see the first round is going to be spent with everybody approaching where ritmush is unless say... a killer robot were to burst out of the wall or something.

So no worries Terquem. Its not like everybody has even declared their action for the first round yet so I doubt there is much of a hurry.

Val! hey Valy! where ya'h ah?" Ritmush shouts as he looks around for signs of his friend. The human moving quickly to the workshop he had left a few moments prior.
"Ya'h in here Val!? Ya alrigh'? " Ritmush asks as he attempts to open the door to the shop.

Ritmush continues his frenzied movement and scampers to the nearest available entrance hoping his new "robots and bacon" friend is aright. Hes going to move to the door of Khonnir's place and open it.

Ritmush who had until that moment been bobbling down the road with an idiot grin on his face as he muttered under his breath. Occasionally tilting his head at things on the road or smiling at pedestrians. The bulky goggles on his face making the distinction between Deliriously and Murderously happy hard to determine. The amount of dark oil on his hands' wrist and brow not helping to make the distinction easier.

Then the scream occurs and Ritmush immediately frowns previous mood popping like a soap bubble,he looks in the direction and bolts back the way he came.

Ritmush, who had been unable to tear his eyes away from the bacon to actually vocalize his desire for bacon on seeing the absolutely... mouth watering display of pig based majesty in front of him grins at the young girl.
"Than's yer'deh bes' mrfgrefblefl m'a dis dah bes'ah evahhad mmm tan's bacon prin'ess yer coot. spec'leh wh'n tha'ir bfton imffolved" Ritmush states his unintelligible speech becoming slightly more so with the introduction of bacon to his craw. The pig flesh rapidly vanishing before ritmush licks his hand and face free of any escaped lard droplets.
"Ah! tha's hit tha' spoh. Hrmm.." Ritmush seems to concentrate on something before nodding.
"Here, ya'h can call it ah' thanks." The scruffy human states as he mutters under his breath and brings a memory to mind.

It is the first few days of winter, the last part of the year Ritmush had before he had to go hunting for a good cave to hole up in for the colder season. To keep nesting in and under the trees was asking the wind to suck the heat from his very bones. Winter was unforgiving, even to one as great as he is.
He stuck his head out of his current tree home to see frost crawling along the branches and keeping the leaves in brittle rigidity as a light wind blew over them. His tree slightly higher than the others he yawned as the orange and red canopy below him swayed gently, a few deer drinking from the nearby lake and the red rays of the dawning sun covered the land. Everything painted in shades of red, gold and white as Ritmush exhales a small cloud of frost smiling at the mornings greeting.

With an exertion of will on his part Ritmush grins fondly as he opens his eyes and sees the wall of a nearby house had been subsumed into the same brittle winter beauty straight out of his mind.

You absolutely do but ritmush is a paranoid little ball of exuberance and he would be uninterested in a "Adult" imposing themselves on his life.
Yes I am aware that is not what you are doing, Ritmush is going to bolt though.

Your character wouldn't know but the town he was an occasional tourist in had several folks that that tried to tame his wild nature. It backfired and he is somewhat distrustful of the motives of older people in relation to him. He is old enough to live and survive in the forest on his own, if he asks for help thats one thing but trying to push it on him will just make him react rashly.

Well no offense meant to Jon but I can only see Ritmush responding to the action of getting told what to do in one way.

Ritmush beams up at the older man and nods offering for him to follow as he obviously knows where he is going. He picks up all his gear and readies himself, looks to john.

@John. If you'd like to say you catch Ritmush you are welcome to, if not he'll meet up with everybody anyway. Ritmush separating from everyone just means he gets his quota of random chaos before the party starts moving.
