Female Human Unchained Summoner
Rilian sits in a corner after draging Pahleg back into the room. She breaths a sigh of relief - feeling marginally safer than she has for what felt like forever. She pulls out the blackened tome, Labrynthika, and begins to open it's pages trying to find out all she can about Hellfire and the Explorer's Guild that the unknown man had mentioned to them. Assuming we rest long enough I will research both. If not I'll do the Explorer's Guild first.

Round 1 Rilian was already on edge from the last battle, not trusting the Labyrinth to provide her any respite she felt uneasy at the apparent quiet of the room. Goramar's shout did little but confirm her fears. She holds out her hands again, this time speaking with more conviction, "Venient Canis!" Another infernal hound begins to claw its way out of an inscribed circle, snarling and spitting an inky black liquid. With an evil spark to it's eye it gives a harsh bark and leaps to the fore of the action. The dog doesn't seem to have a clear line to anyone in order to charge so it'd just have to make move actions to get in range of things. Rilian watches the dog move off as she turns towards Kekkle before he moves to fight. "Sir Kekkle, I can take Sir Pahleg - I'm not good at fighting." She puts the knights arm around her shoulder and lifts him from Kekkle, half carrying-half dragging him towards a safer location. I'm assuming that Pahleg is heavier than my max load of 80lbs, but I can still lift up to 160lbs and stagger around with it - which is what I'm assuming is happening. Standard Action Summon Infernal Dog, Move Action to 5 ft. back down the hallway.

[Round 3] Rilian sees the dog vanish, the smell of fire now permeating the stale air of the Labrynth. Her breath catches when Kekkle starts to call for a parlay. She wondered if the creature even had enough sense left to recognize the situation. Will post actions depending on if Ushio or anyone else can kill it before my initiative order. I'd rather not summon a second creature in the third fight of what looks to be a long day.

Sorry I had thought I read that it functioned the same as the Spell. Rilian would have used a Move action to retreat back towards Kekkle and Pahleg. So at the start of Round 2 she would be near Ulrich / The Mouth of the corridor. Round 2 Rilian stares wide-eyed as the creature she had ripped forth takes a blast of fire and manages to stay standing, baring it's teeth at the thing in the wall. "I agree with Sir Kekkle here. I don't know how much longer that hell-hound can keep it distracted!" She manages to call out, swallowing her fear. "Not much longer girl - it is time to go..." The voice has a biting tone to it, much different than it's usual teasing. Rilian shakes her head, now was not the time to succumb to insanity, as she falls back further to the relative safety of the southern tunnel. Double Move action to place Rilian next to Kekkle and Pahleg. [I would need more than just 30ft. to get there]

Round 1 Rilian seems lost amidst the battles, things seem to be only getting worse and this is more combat than she felt like she had ever seen. "Get help you insolent child! I'll do it if I have to... The breathy voice scolds her. Feeling an odd calming sensation as she holds her hands out with palms open towards the ground. "Venient Canis" she mumbles absent-mindedly and her eyes seem to lose focus. On the ground in front of her a circle of runes inscribes itself in a firey script and a dog-like creature begins to claw itself out of the ground from inside the circle. It stands there, looking like a devilish hound with large fangs dripping a dark ichor. Rilian holds a hand up, pointing loosely towards the creature that had just unleashed a blast of hell-fire against Elyna. "Attack." Rilian mutters as her eyes begin to refocus. She shakes her head and looks fearfully at the creature she has summoned - as though seeing it for the first time. Summoning a Feindish Dog using a daily use of Summon Monster 1. The casting takes a full round so the Dog can't actually act until round 2

Rilian nervously climbs the ladder, finally reaching the top she scrambles off the ladder, pulling herself onto the ground. She stands, brushing herself off. Seeing the proffered dagger she shakes her head, "I wouldn't know what to do with it even if I had it." Rilian moves towards one of the exits to the chamber, holding her small light aloft to see if she can spy the end of the tunnels. I'm looking down the tunnel to the Forward of the ladder

"The Book you foolish girl..." The quiet wind calls to her. Rilian looks around and notices that no one else seems to have heard the call. Her breath quickens as she feels her grasp of sanity slip. She rips her eyes away from where the man had just been and stares at the black book in her hands. Suddenly there is a dull thudding sound from the room they had just been in causing Rilian to jump. She wheels around and starts to move back towards the room, worried about Kekkle and Ushio. She steps into the room and sees the crumpled form of Ushio and Kekkle calling for a healer. She gasps and steps aside, staring shocked. They had only been awake for a breif few moments, and death was already on all sides of her. "Ah-ha...ah-ha...So it begins."

I had no idea the ladders would be of such interest. I could always go back if we think we should. I mean yes there's eight of us but only 2 seem to be interested in going up the ladder. That seems like a risky proposition considering the known (or in this case unknown) leathality of the universe.

Rilian looks between the ladder and her new compatriots, deciding it's best to stick together as a group she moves back towards the group, preparing herself to deal with whatever lies beyond the light. "I'm in agreement, whatever we do it'll be easier if we are together."

Rilian suddenly crouches and starts running her hand along the baren floor. Finally she finds a small, nondescript, stone. She stares at it as her eyes seem to glaze over. Covering the stone with her hand she mumbles "Lucerent" in a dull voice. Light suddenly seems to bleed through her hand, and she opens it to reveal a small ball of light resting in her palm. She gives a small shake of her head as her eyes refocus on the light in her hand. "There, some extra light to cast back the darkness!" She smiles proudly at her accomplishment as she holds it aloft to help light up the area around her.
"Which way do you all think we should travel?" She strides over to a ladder and holds her light high up, trying to see how far the ladder ascends.

The whisper on the wind returns to her,"Aurorink. That misera - " before Rilian dampens it with her own voice. "Aurorink! I am a follower too - or I was in the orphanage. We all were." Rilian smiles sheepishly, letting her arms fall loose to her sides as she strides closer to the cleric. "It's good to see a familiar bit of home in this dark place. The brothers who watched over us were always very kind." She stands a good deal shorter than the cleric and stares up at him with twinkling eyes - seeming to have forgotten all about the darkness surrounding them.

Rilian clutches the blackened tome close to her chest as she enters the area. Seeing the others wake granted her a breif respite, she wasn't so alone as she had been. She allowed herself to settle down and started to let her arms fall to her side. "Friends? Or Foe? It doesn't matter much - you've always got a friend in me. Ah-ha...ah-ha...ah-ha." A deep breathy voice whispers just behind her. She quickly whips around her eyes wide with terror. There is nothing there. With a hard swallow Rilian turns back around and moves towards the group, grasping the tome so hard that her knuckles are white. "I'm Rilian. Rilian Sol." She forces out, giving a small smile despite the circumstances.

I can remove it, I was just leaving it for future reference - not that it matters much. AC is 15 [10 Base + 1 Dex +2 Natural Armor +2 Improved Natural Armor] ; 11 Touch ; 14 Flat Footed Unless my understanding of the Improved Natural Armor evolution is wrong it adds an additional +2 to the base forms natural armor. (biped already has +2 bringing the total to +4)

Sorry I should have asked if the Eidolon would be getting Max HP at 1st level too. I'll fix it and will be changing out Daze Monster for Rejuvenate Eidolon...he's got a few less HP now... Augment Summoning works for the Summon Monster class ability since the less Maris is near me, the less likely I am to be dragged to hell. Fiendish Dire Rats are cool! Also it kicks in for the eidolon should I ever reach level 4 and gain Summon Eidolon which is a 2nd Level Spell that allows for a quick summon of an Eidolon and would activate Augment Summon (downside is the Eidolon can be banished easier) |
