Hey Tordek. Game time yet?

Sooo looking forward the the next session. :)

Haha! Almost time for some RotRL fun!

This is acceptable.

Of course, the fun is that now you don't know who I didn't want to look like. Mwahahahaha.

Spoiler:
If you think hard, I bet you can figure it out...

Oh yeah! Looking for a new avatar.

I think I need to change this avatar, I don't really like being reminded of him when I post...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Rise of the Runelords, however is having a special Saturday session!

The weekend shall not be completely Pathfinderless for me.

Off to play some Runelords!

Runelords Friday night was - interesting. The party survived but perhaps my encounter got a little carried away.

I have been running this game for a year now, and its my first GM experience. Its been fun. My group, has many years of RPG experience and they have been extremely patient as I learn. I have discovered that it is a very fine line between designing encounters that continually bring the party to the brink of death, but with a chance of survival and an encounter that is impossible to defeat and leaves everyone frustrated in the end.

If we are going to die, let it be an epic death, that will be remembered forever in song and tale 'round the camp fire.

It was a hell of a fight. I was only hitting on 19's and 20's. (Could have hit on a 17+ I think.) While X and L could only miss me on their third iterative attacks.

Keep in mind every encounter is not supposed to be a life or death situation. A party should be able to have three, four or even five encounter in the course of an adventuring day, before they have to replenish their resources (rest). Boss fights, should be epic, and I think X and L should both be of that challenge level. And I think you know that, I was replying to the way you worded the statement. 2 CR 10 monsters vs. an APL 8 party in one fight was a bit overmuch. IMO.

Last night's Rise of the Runelord session ended badly for all but one Hero of Sandpoint.

Details will follow later in the Runelords Obituary thread, but for now, I must go prepare for my two youngest son's arrival from MN this afternoon.

No way is my little buddy gonna become worm food if I can stop it.

Hey, Tordek! Any luck with new fetish creations?
Not yet - still trying to catch up my Runelord adventure log. I'll be traveling next weekend so I think I'll have some time then. I want to weave it into my runelord game as I have a certain PC partial to taking goblin ears.

Well, teeth mainly. But yes, ears of the more powerful foes.

There may even be a shrunken head in the future. ;-)

Yeah, we were discussing the philosophical aspects of our not caring last night.

I was slaughtering Sinspawn with your brother last night. It went well. :^D
