Male Human Rogue 1
Raul watches helplessly as his lovely half elf companion gets struck by the derro's poisoned bolt, infuriated by seeing her cringe rushes the door dropping the bow and drawing two blades. The new short-sword and a dagger. because raul doesn't have a bab of +1 yet i cant draw my weapons and still attack. So he will draw his weapons and move in a flanking position with whoever else engaged the derro first. I will place his token where i think he would be most likely flanking the baddie but that might be subject to change upon other people's actions. I also know I will be provoking at least one AOO.
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul deferring to his plan mainly because he doesn't mind not being human bait. He will crouch down behind the half giant of a man taking aim from at the door. when the door is knocked opened Raul will loose his arrow at the first enemy he sees. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (2) = 3 screw you dice bot
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul gathers the items and skulks back into the veil of darkness towards his companions, He hands the potions and scroll to the oracle and alchemist but clings onto the sword. Do you all mind if I give this thing a whirl? I might be able to dig a little deeper with this thing. He will look to Grim for guidance before heading back towards the door. Maybe let me engage like before and draw their attention then everyone else can pounce when they bear down on me? If the group seems agreeable Raul will sheath the new sword in his belt drawing his trusty bow and will head to the door slowly nudging it open as to not to draw attention. He will wait a moment before briefly peering inside. If he sees any hostile individuals he will fire at the individual that appears to be the leader and then will immediately retreat behind the boxes and crates.
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul looks at the giant metal man and shrugs. I mean i can try but no promises. Raul reaches in his pouch and pulls out a small kit with picks and prongs. looking at the door ahead he will cautiously approach the chest ready to spring back towards his allies if danger should emerge. stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 Raul feeling confident in the fact that he is well obscured starts to make quick work on the lock placing a few picks in the mechanism he turns his ear closer to listen as he works. [ooc]If taking 10 is not feasible in this situation he will try to work quickly but always prefers not to rush his tedious work.Disable Device: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Raul listens to tanselle and annoyingly shrugs as she mentions Grim's fall before heading for the shadows once more. stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 he moves up towards a couple more shacks with both knives drawn at the ready. He will slowly push the one door open waiting a moment listening in the room before peering inside.. preception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul with tresca's help fells the large rat, for a moment the young varisian man pauses winking at the half-elf before rushing the still standing rat. Raul move beside Kurse and jabs both daggers at the rat hoping to connect with something vital.
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul over to the oracle pulling up his shirt where the burns seem to be thee worst. Kurse tell me how bad does it look? hoping for another heal he will offer to go first and scan the area before everyone else makes their descent. Tresca maybe you and i should help down first and scan the area before the others make their way down. If you hear us yell up Grim barrel down the ladder as fast as possible. Ill try to go without being noticed. after Raul says the last part he throws his arm over nose covering his face like a vampire would do, he gives a slight chuckle and then descends into the depths below. stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul seeing his companions getting into position will sprint to cut off any escape that could be had by his enemy. He will take a run move moving just outside of the threat range of his enemy and if the hatch looks secure will stand on it to prevent escape for his opponent. Grim being Raul has higher int. i moved you as if i had gone first so we would be flanking as i imagine that would of been the intention. Raul loses his Dex bonus for this round to his AC
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul watches as the cleric sneers at the group, smiling every slightly as he is knocked back unconscious. Ok i suggest we pile his body underneath some of these crates so no one that comes out that door will see him asleep. I'd also consider gagging him. Raul looks for any scrap that could be used to gag the cleric, once he finds something adequate he will walk up to Tresca. Here use this to clean yourself up a bit Once she has done so or refuses he sticks the damp cloth in Teppish's mouth tying it snugly around his head. Raul will check all the knots and after Grimaldus' word he will scout ahead stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Male Human Rogue 1
listen, we aren't going to let you die down here in the sewers that isn't our way and frankly you don't deserve such an easy way out. but refusing to help us only complicates your situation more. When we turn you over to the authorities they will ask us what happened. You will be prosecuted and shipped away forgotten about for several years. You sir can help your situation greatly tell us what you know about the sewers and where we can find the fabled jet rat.if you help us the courts will be more forgiving of some of these transgressions and will be considered during sentencing. The decision is yours, choose wisely sir.... diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul with his bow drawn keeps his eye peered on the door ready to fire if anything should enter that appears hostile. Kurse any chance you could give me a hand smiling a bit but obviously in pain[/b] So the big lug was scared by a cowering man in a corner, This is something else, Should we follow these stairs or should we investigate the rest of the sewers? I imagine its best to not venture to stick to the task on hand and continue until we find the artifact. Assuming we all decide to stay down in the sewers raul will stealth again and follow Grim's suggestion of where to head (grim feel free to move me when you post} stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Male Human Rogue 1
So i dont know if the boards are being whacky but ive posted a couple times and it just won't show up. Raul takes aim on the cleric and fires his bow at him taking aim to not hit Grimaldus AR: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
He then looks to the doorway at the top of the stairs fearing reinforcements will be on their way.
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul nods at Grimaldus' suggestion and presses firmly against the wall as he turns the corner. He pauses briefly to draw back his shot at the man wearing half-plate. Attack roll+Kurse' Bonus: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 = 23 Damage+sneak attack: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + (6) = 11 I don't know if you will allow me to start my turn with the standard action or if i had to first move into position, i imagine if they didn't perceive me i would have been able to move into position let the round expire then fire and move back towards Grimaldus. If that is an issue i will move and fire from there. Sweetsauce!
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul graciously thanks Tresca as he takes the sunrod, and places it halfway in his pants, He listens for a moment and walks back to the group he whispers:I think i hear movment just down here but i can't make out what it is He tests the boards with have his weight and then crosses over if they seem sturdy enough. He will draw his bow once on the other-side cautiously ushering the others over as he guards ahead
Male Human Rogue 1
Raul looks back at the bearded man with shock as he jabs the wand in his side, but instantly the pain in his lower back was gone, and the gash on his forearm started to heal before his eyes. this is amazing, magically healing by far beats bandages any day nodding to KurseThank you sir Raul asks the party does anyone have any none flammable forms of light i can use?, i need to be able to hide the light if need be and a i didn't consider a torch being hard to conceal while trying to sneak about. When we resurface i shall repay the kindness in turn assuming he is able to obtain sunrod or a light spell on one of his daggers he will continue onward heading down the hallways stopping at the next intersection.

round 2
Raul seeing the terrifying beast begins to tremble as his shot veers hard to the left widely missing his intended target. He reaches for his quiver anxiously nocking another arrow.

perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 To see if he notices the rickety hinged drain. if not reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10, Raul completely obvious to where he is walking tumbles into the hole unleashing a audible yelp assuming he isn't dead Raul groans in a very annoyed tone: ugh im alright, i think this metal drain broke my fall YOU DAMNED FOOL and to think the half-giant was supposed to be the clumsy one. great impression. He attempts to stand up and brush himself off before attempting to climb out. climb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 welp i made a nice big noise to alert everyone ahead of our presence so for now ill stay close being storm drains can sneak up on me i wrote a lot because i have class tomorrow throughout most of the day and dont want to hold the group up, please use what is relevant when it is appropriate........DEM ROLLS THOUGH!.......

Raul lays on the ground near the hole peeking his inside but can't accurately discern much as his eyes become adjusted to the new low light setting perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Raul attempts to help Grimaldus down into the sewer following behind him as he goes. once down in the sewer. Raul will draw his shortbow and nock an arrow. If he sees no danger he will hold the rope steady for the women as they make the descent before taking post beside Grimaldus. Raul begins to whisper to the party it might be best if i scout ahead a little and report back instead of us barreling down the tunnel not knowing what lies in wait stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 He waits for the groups agreement before moving off alone as to not offend anyone.

Raul listens nervously as the venture-captain responded, he is utterly relieved that she didn't scorn him in front of the party. He stares at her and feels her pain as she pulls out the ornate pin That pin...that pin must of been the countess'. I've known your pain Captain Themis better than you might know. When i find this derros' he will suffer an agonizing death this i promise you. Nodding in a gentle manner towards the captain Raul turns away and heads towards the door. It is obvious that his demeanor has improved, he no longer looks obligated but determined. I need to make a brief stop to grab a couple supplies before we head down in the sewers. it will take only a minute...wait! He stops mid sentence and begins rifling through his backpack. After removing several items from the bag he pulls out a handful of chalk.never-mind i still have plenty.I'm ready to make haste assuming no one has business to tend too. he takes time to carefully return the items back into his backpack. He hoists the heavy bag over one shoulder and grimaces under the weight. He takes the bag off for a second time and grabs a handful of items. from within and asks to leave the remainder of his possessions at the Lodge until their return. i need to be light on my feet ya'knowRaul left everything behind except: shortbow, 20 arrows, 4 daggers, 1 rope, 1 torch, a mirror, 2 caltrops, a flint and steel, signal horn, and theives tool kit. he places one dagger in a sheath up both arms, two sheathed on his belt. he places the smaller items into his two belt pouches. the rope will be wrapped over one shoulder like a banner, the bow and arrows hanging from their harness on his back. lasty he hold the torch in his hand at his side. I dont know if you want this thorough of a breakdown but i didnt want to assume in my favor :0

Once the light hearted jesting begins Raul's nerves start to diminish and he even relinquishes a few a couple laughs before forcing himself to cough and returning to his emotionless demeanor. He eyes Tresca and gives a slight nod to acknowledge her attempts of civility. Drifting back into thought raul begins to try and formulate a plan. I think ill bring some chalk down in the sewers maybe i can mark the path we take so we don't get lost and also to leave a path for the catives to follow into safety if we get into a hostile situation with some of these derros....yeah chalk will work pretty great. Taking a moment to eye up the ironclad behemoth a second time it strikes him Eureka!!! this clumsy oaf is great his presence alone will create enough distraction that i should be able to dart around unnoticed....this mission is still the bottom of the barrel but maybe im overthinking it...calm down raul everything will work out... Shaking his head as if to supress something within he attempts to ackwardly join into the conversation, nodding at what the others say and laughing off cue.

@Grimaldus is the adeptus astartes a 40k reference? Space wolves are my jam Raul hearing the knocking at the door turns around slightly startled to see as the lumbering man enters the room Ugh.......seriously they got to be kidding me....this half-giant is supposed to accompany us in the sewers? This is just a big clumsy echoing mess...
venture-captain i feel the need to say one last thing. You have made it very clear that the jet rat is our main objective, but I need to be very clear that my priority lies with freeing the prisoners. This in no way devalues our objective but my morals dictate this to be my chief concern raul attempts to bring attention to a pin on his jacket that obviously points to his andoran roots. After speaking he slumps back in his seat nervously picking at the flaking leather arm of the arm of the chair hoping his words wouldn't be perceived as insubordnat but rather over zealous.

Currently running a game where a wizard was forced to pick up a pick and use it for a few rounds.
1) As the cursed item forces him to employ the pick over any other weapon he cannot draw his bonded sword, and so cannot cast spells.
I could go a number of different ways on this. But want to see what other people think.
One of the characters from Marvel comics is called Diablo, and he was a wacky alchemist character. Aside from sucking down potions to change his physical stats, which is well covered in the current rules, (except where he had precoated his mustache in potions and was able to lick the mustache as a last minute escape device) he also tossed around pellets to hurt/hinder his opponents. So we've got Bombs....and they can do some things, like the madness affect etc, but what about bombs ore even call them extracts that mimic other spells...maybe something like Black Tentacles, Baleful Polymorph (or whatever it's called now), Hold Person, Daylight, Darkness, etc. Thoughts?
So I'm looking at the paladins....and going Oh my GAWD...
Barbarians, poor bstrds They can now rage for 4 rounds + their con MODIFIER.
Ya know....I really loved the beta fighters, they got a ton of feats,
ooo they added a number of feats for higher level fighters...that all seem to chain off critical hits. Which is great if you have a build for that...
and they took away my favorite feats...overhand chop/backswing etc. Is it me? am I missing something? |
