"Interesting so how would one make, pizza?" She asks Ramie, Alia and Matthew.

"Hmmm... I've never made one from scratch, but maybe we can look it up and give it a try sometime." She adds cheerfully.

Ramie just smiles and waves as they reunite with Jean and Zaidel, raising an amused eyebrow at the reunion with Shatash. One in every port... She thinks to herself.

"I've... er... never fought a vampire, so Floof and I will follow you fella's lead. Actually, I guess I should ask... they couldn't turn the Floof right? I can use different summons if that's a danger."

Jean and Zaidel can't hear this.

"Pizza? Peanut butter? What are those things? I know peanuts... She replies to Ramie.

Ramie considers how to describe pizza as they travel. "Well, it's like a savory pie with bready crust, topped with meat and cheese. And peanut butter is just peanuts ground up into paste." She explains.

Ramie greets the half-orc woman with a shy little wave. It struck her that Shatash seemed a bit peeved with Zaidel. Wanting to contribute to the conversation, she chips in. "For me it was sunflower seeds. I put them on everything, even pizza. Apple slices dipped in peanut butter too." She said wistfully.

Sure, Ramie can stroll in fashionably late with an NPC.

Sorry guys, I did not mean for it to go so long without checking in. I've had a run of bad luck past several weeks. Spread too thin between work and home and then I injured my hand. Also starting to aggressively look for a better job. >_<

I have some more time over the next week and will try to get caught up.

Ramie follows suit and waves the challenge. "This is where you started out, right Zaidel? Any old friends you want to visit?"

"So are we back on the clock with our daily quest? Meaning we need to do that before we lock ourselves into something else?" Ramie asks, not wanting to risk the nasty consequences.

Ramie closes her eyes and hums to herself, trying to forget that she's just a claw twitch away from falling out of the sky... again.

Zaidel looks around, noticing none of the other members are voicing their concerns.

"I think it's just us four", the cleric realizes. "If it's just us four, then Ramie and I can ride Jean, while Krysta flies on her own!"

Ramie swallows obviously, "Um... sure. If that's ok with you, Jean. I can just wait til we're on solid ground again before I summon the Floof."

Forgive the lazy formatting, its a pain on phone/tablet.

"Vampires, huh? What should we do to prepare for that?"

Sorry to report but my laptop has crashed. Trying to troubleshoot but my coverage has expired so if I can't fix the problem, it may take some time before I'm up and running again. I will keep you posted.

Ramie stays focused on studying the Tome of Leadership and Influence, then the Tome of Clear Thoughts and back to the Tome of Leadership and Influence, if that's possible.

The Floof meanwhile pursues the physical pursuits, reading The Manual of Gainful Exercise, The Manual of Quickness of Action and the Tome of Bodily Health.

The goddess relays with a smile and a chuckle, "Why yes. Yes they are. Be glad he is not trying to get in your pants. They are notorious for their frequency of activities."

"No danger of that, since I'm like a sister and all." Ramie says with confidence. "He's building up quite the little family." She says with a grin and gives Zaidel a playful punch on the shoulder.

She served up a nice portion for the Floof and ate heartily, favoring the meats, especially the pork and indulging in the eggs benny, having some pineapple for dessert and washing it all down with plenty of coffee.

Apologies again, I'm going to be doing well to chime in when it's my turn. Happy to follow the party's lead.

Ramie smirks, "That tracks. I was a bratty little sister. My closest in age sibling was nine years older than me. But don't be too thankful. After all, you've got me now!" She says with an exaggerated grin. XD

Zaidel's eyes go wide. "RAMIE! I wasn't gonna propose we not take advantage of having a meal with a deity! Your Familia head! No! I say we stay! It's huge honor! After breakfast, then we haul a$$!"

Ramie rolls her eyes extravagantly as Floof huffs a doggie sigh at Zaidel. "Just trying to be considerate... You are my transportation, after all."

She stage-whispers 'confidentially' to Desna, "Do all Satyrs change their minds as fast as the flip-flop of a wind-sock?"

"Oops, sorry. I guess we'd better get back. Thank you again for everything, my Lady Starsong." Ramie bowed again to Desna, saying her farewells.

"Yes, thank you. We're honored to stay." Ramie replied.

Sorry, I know that's weak sauce, but my work schedule has changed and I'm still adjusting to less free time.

Ramie knelt before Desna and gazed up at her goddess reverently and quite literally starry-eyed during the ceremony. It felt good to have family again and she silently and shyly requests a hug once the formal ceremony was completed. "I will sing your praises everywhere our travels take us, My Lady Starsong. Thank you for everything! Please don't hesitate to call on me if you need anything."

So is my Starknife the bonded item? Does it do anything to it's stats?

Ramie had an apologetic look on her face, Desna seemed to have a lot on her plate and she felt like a heel for adding to it. "I'm still sort of new and I'm not sure I understand it all. I needed to see you face to face because we need to establish a bond to be sure my divine blessings are really flowing from you. I might need to be er... officially adopted into your Familia. And like Zaidel said, there was something about being a Dreamweaver and a focus item." Then she brightened, "I didn't come empty handed though, I was gifted a voucher from the Golden Monarch for lands within the Golden Glade. Maybe you could use them for a retreat if you need a respite. They should be safe since they are under his protection." She explained as she happily brought forth the voucher from her bag.

"I was able to find a very nice Starknife. Or I have some jewelry that could serve as the focal point?" She offered.

In her majestic splendor she stands up and comes to greet you. "Greetings all, sorry for being so busy but that happens when we descend. Please have a seat."

Ramie's tension drained away and she nearly sagged with relief at the radiant sight of her goddess. "Oh my Lady, thanks to the heavens that you're well! I'm Ramie Jae, formerly of Earth. And this is Floof, my eidolon." She said, bowing deeply from the waist and flourishing her arm to point out her fluffy dog-like friend. "The sight of the illusion here had me worried that something was wrong. Have your parishioners..." She paused then, mulling over her word choice diplomatically. "Have their requests overburdened your benevolent nature?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (17) + 32 = 49

"I think something is wrong. I'm not getting anything from Her now... I'll try again now the illusion barrier is down." Ramie says worriedly, and reaches out to her goddess again.

"Yes, please! She bid me come here to see her..." She cries, her worry painting her words with her impassioned plea.

"Hmmm... Does this seem right? Do people mob the gates when Cayden Cailean is in town? Is she maybe trying to lay low?"

Something seems off, so Ramie tries to contact Desna again...

Ramie grins and bows to their little audience, pleased by their praise. "Ok, lemme double check..."

She quickly gathers her things and her eidolon so they can go when everyone is ready.

Ramie turns to Zaidel, looking perplexed, "So Desna's still in New Faces. I think her dream-sharing ability may be limited now that she's here in physical form..."

I honestly don't know how to respond. It seems like dream communication is not going to work here. I guess I'll wait until we go to New Faces? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After a bit of a rough start, Ramie warmed up properly and took a more moderate and measured approach to her performance.

Take ten, this bonus includes the +5 to Cha from the tome and +2 bonus from the Honeyed Tongue reward, which I haven't yet added to the sheet. >_<

I am fine with you giving Floof books to benefit from. You could even use your boost system on her. So yes. Correct me if I am wrong but you share magical item slots as your eidolon, so if it has a belt you cannot. If you want to do the research on this I would be happy with the outcome.

Yes, that's right. So we'll be shooting for slotless stuff or combining items where possible. Am I applying 3 tomes to self and 3 to Floof, or do I split the benefit of 3 over the two of us? She's the one to really help the party in a combat capacity so boosting her physical stats is probably the greater priority, mostly just the Charisma for me since so many things key off it now.

Ramie wasn't completely sure about being a fateweaver, but Zaidel was so enthusiastic, she figured it was worth a try. "Oooh, Dreamweaver should be perfect!" She said remembering how the lyrics speak of the heavens.

Ramie grins, enjoying ribbing the Satyr but appreciating his good humor and the 80's ballad as well.

"Might be worth a shot, but what's a Fateweaver?"

I'll vote for the extended stay as well, since it seemed like we needed a week to get through one tome and that will give us each two. Though if it only takes 6 days, we could each manage 3.

Day 8

After lunch, Zaidel goes to find the kitsune.
"Ramie! Hey! You wanna jam! One bard to another?"

Ramie has spent her time dutifully studying her tome and considering her shopping list.

"Sure! I could use a break. What did you have in mind? Papa don't preach?" She asks with a smirk.

To be honest I don't want to back out, ya'll are great, and I am liking Krysta as a character, the game is just a bit overwhelming for me to handle.

I get it, it's a lot to keep track of and as someone who stresses over decisions, I get anxious over all the options sometimes. Maybe we could both abstain from the smorgasbord of options for now and let the GM know when we're prepared to process more?

Besides, if Jean is right, then Krysta will wander off with all her op crystal dragon ninja hotness to become a Dark Soul and we'll have to fight her. >.<

(I do want the extra boost points, though... XD)

Oh I understand having a cheat sheet there are a lot of factors in this game.

As Krysta and Ramie are not 6th level yet. They can only select two Chosen wishes at the moment. Most likely their own wish and one more. Once they are 6th level they may add one more. I know the term 'wish' is being used a lot. It should be called Original Chosen Super, or something not with wish in the name.

I guess it's the wording that's tripping me up. You say to select two, but apparently one of the two has to be to maintain our original wish? It doesn't sound right to "choose" something I already have, if that makes sense? I guess the idea is I could potentially "swap" being kitsune for something else if I wanted to? I don't, just trying to get clarity about this choice.

Ramie looks pensive, "So I think the boost point multiplier from Alia and the doubled spells from Mia sound like the best ones for me." She concludes, nodding her head as if agreeing with herself.

"Now what do the books give bonuses for?"

I'm getting confused again. I know you want us to talk it through and I've been trying but it's still not making complete sense to me Matthew lets us copy another chosen's wish, but it's not us making a wish ourselves? Krysta and I are level 4 so we pick 2 of the chosen's abilities?

Then there was this:

On the way to The Spire she asks, "Does anyone still need the ritual for stabilized and safer wishes? It is a 24 hour ritual. Ramie? The Chosen of Cayden Cailean will need to do it but with his presence I believe we can all do it at the same time." After the 2nd day everyone should be making one wish per day.

During the ritual she makes sure your wish is coming from your diety. Your first wish is to create a focus item. Jellena chose a ring... the ring which is the basis for the rings she handed out. The 1nd thing is you need to determine the cost. For Jellena it is to soak the ring in life blood every day. She has to kill something everyday. For the Caydenites it might have to do with drinking, like getting slammed the night before and keep intoxicated. Free a slave. Please someone with your touch. I am just going off his tenants. Desna is more a fluttering butterfly so I am not sure. "After you choose it I can cast to see how well it will work."

Am I supposed to do this even though Desna is not present here like Cayden? I need a cheat sheet for everything I'm supposed to be deciding on. XD

With his awesome draconic sense Jean hears and replies, "The Chosen were brought in to fight these big evils lurking around. So far we have not found any of them, but that seems to be the long term goal. I have a theory that the big evils are other Chosen. You come in, get massive power, and eventually if you are not careful you go big bad. I like being a dragon, but I have resisted changing to much beyond that in case I go big bad and destroy a city or something."

Ramie's eyes goggle slightly at this theory. "Well that's a headcannon if ever I heard one. Is there evidence to support that theory?" She asks.

Nodding to Matthew, she says, "I think you're right that the boost points multiplier would be the biggest benefit at this stage of the game. So offering this is a power you gained from a past wish, and doesn't risk any curses or negative consequences?"

Ramie blinks her eyes rapidly, head spinning at all of the options. "You guys sure know how to overwhelm a girl's executive dysfunction..." She remarks.

Zaidel snaps his fingers. "Yes! I was able to duplicate Alia's Boost Bonus! So I have two Shared Abilities!"

"And just think of all the suitors you'll acquire as a comely sublime satyr." Zaidel raises his hands in surrender. "I'm just saying..."

She rolls her eyes theatrically at Zaidel's impassioned urging. "Pfff! That last bit is not the enticement you seem to think it is... in fact it's probably the biggest reason NOT to go there. Plus aren't Satyrs supposed to be exclusively male? Being kitsune enhances my enchantment magic. Not to mention..." She leans closer confidentially, though she still stage whispers her response, "I'd much rather be a foxy lady than a horny goat." She says, booping his comely nose with her fingertip affectionately and winking to minimize the sting of her barb.

To Matthew, she responds, "Just to be Kitsune and Sublime so far, though that last one was actually Jellena's wish on my behalf. How is it that Krysta and I get wishes now? We haven't defeated any Dark Souls..."

"Sometimes too many wishes can have a growing negative effect. Before anyone goes too crazy it would be good to focus on something that can make the wishes safer." Jean says.

"Let's talk about that. I noticed Jean hasn't taken much advantage of the wishing system. Why is that? What are the negative effects that add up? What makes them safer?"

Finally, she turns to Jellena, actually whispering this question.

"Well, that's a relief. I should probably get this new mithral shirt enchanted while we're there, then."

Ok, so I finally realized where the info for the loot boxes is listed... XD but can I get some clarification on what happens if you roll above 75? It says reroll, but ignore over 75 for reroll. If you roll say: 77, you reroll twice and get 500 g? So if the rerolls are 23 and 33, you get both a cat and piece of jewelry as well as the 500 g? And what if your rerolls are 93 and 100? Do you get the gp values added to the tally? You reroll twice again until you get numbers lower than 76? Or you simply ignore the rolls and get no additional bonus?

"So are we going to help explore The Spire? Does that mean we're all done with the Golden Glade?" It was the first time since arriving in this strange land that she didn't have a clear quest to be working toward.

"Anyone need a mithril shirt?" She asks the group.

Ramie raises her hand like she was eager to answer a question in class. "Ooh! I think I could use that, better than this studded leather anyhow." If she gets the opportunity, she returns the borrowed armor and rapier to Krazok, now that she has upgraded.

"So... is The Spire like a home base for Chosen? You said it's like the TARDIS, does that mean it travels? Also, if we leave the Golden Glade, can we still come back later for redeeming the vouchers and stuff we were granted?"

Any of the Chosen in the room gets a will save DC 19.

No worries about the party getting their swerve on from me, but this ^ gave me some concerns.

If my character is in danger of being drawn into sexscapades against my will, Imma need to bow out.

Ramie's eyes widen at the ruckus coming from the restaurant and she gives the place a wide berth. Yeesh, that can't be good for their health and safety rating...

"We need to find a place for Floof. I am not sure if he should travel with us or if he should maybe go to the Spire." Jean says.

"What would be the issue with Floof travelling with us?" She asks, not understanding.

Ramie claps along, listening intently until she feels she has caught the gist and then joins in. And no, she doesn't care if it's a bawdy song. It's all in good fun.

Ramie looks around the Wyvern's Roost for signs of some of the fellows she spoke to before. "Hello again! I'm on a mission of goodwill. What would really make your day? A song perhaps? Or maybe you want to teach me one of your favorites and I can sing it far and wide along with the story of the one who taught it to me." She suggests in a friendly tone.

Ramie seemed somewhat dismayed by the revelation that The Art was more of the same. "Well, Floof and I will work toward more PG results, thank you much." If anything, being relieved of physical obligations toward a partner was freeing, and one of the more enjoyable aspects of her new existence here.

But helping people was certainly still within her wheelhouse, so she proceeded on.

Ramie giggles at the disappearing trick Jellena was performing, she stopped after pocketing a few hundred gold and realizing she had no where else to put it. "Ah, good point. All of that gold is a bit hefty to carry. Could you stow mine away too? I guess a bag of holding or something of the like needs to go on the shopping list. Oh man... we need to go shopping!" She babbled, head spinning at the prospects.

On Zaidel's impending quest, she remembered, "Oh yeah, I signed up for that too. A group of workmen said they unwind at the Wyvern's Roost in the evenings."

She wrinkles her nose at the mention of Zaidel's preferred reward. "Blue Magic? Wasn't that a joke supplement book? Nymphology, or something. Honeyed Tongue looks like a spell... not bad. But what is The Art?" She asks, falling into step to go see about the diplomatic quest with a cheerful Floof on her heels.

Ramie considers carefully, but decides that the penalty involved is too great a risk. "While I will always strive to be friendly with good dragons, I will just have to befriend them by my own merit. I would like to be able to cast Blessing of Fervor on my friends." And she and Floof stepped forward, bowing their heads, "Thank you for your blessing."

She chose a chest with an interesting assortment of items. A Blinkback Belt. 5,000 gp
A Lesser Metamagic Rod of Extend. 3,000 gp
And a Cloak of Resistance, 1,000 gp which she promptly draped over The Floof.

On cue, Ramie and Floof channeled to help fuel the positive energy pool Jellena's wish drew from.
