In the morning, Quill's eyes are full of tears. Rather than rushing towards the most crispy bacon, he barely drags his feet to the plate and doesn't find the most charred pieces, just mostly crispy ones (like a freakin' uncouth barbarian). He's clearly been up all night, thinking about something.
In fact, his lower lip is quavering, and he frequently takes steps to steel his resolve as he reaches for toast. He's quiet and pensive until he explodes with the turmoil inside him...
"OK FINE! I'LL TELL YOU! FINE! I'M GOING BACK HOME! I CAN'T DO THIS ANY LONGER! THERE! I SAID IT!" Quill erupts, spilling his jellied toast to the floor. "I can't do this anymore. You guys need real heroes for this. And that's not me!"
Quill slumps into his chair, relieved to have that burden off his chest.
"I'm going to go back and tell everyone what has happened. Maybe there are true heroes who can come help you. I'm not a hero. I'm...I'm...a fletcher. I can't do this," he bemoans his weakness.
"I'm sorry. But also, we can put up signs here in Janderhoff! I'm sure there are going to be plenty of dwarven heroes and giantslayers here! How can there not be! Oh man, yeah...we'll get 10 or 20 *professional* giantslayers to help you. Yeah, that'll be just perfect." Quill almost appears to believe what he is saying.
"Sander, I can give a note to Louly if you want. And Storn, I can go punch someone in the back of the neck for you. You know, I think you'd like that," Quill offers whatever aid he can before he goes.
"I'm probably leaving this evening. I'll find a caravan down to the lowlands, then make my way back home," Quill wishes wistfully...and see if I can make a life with Marigold Pottersmoot, my beloved.

I think Quill is going to take this time at Janderhoff to return to Trunau and try to hook up with his beloved Marigold Pottersmoot.
It's been a good ride, but I think my needs as a player (a team of consistent players pushing and posting) are in odds with how the group functions.
I love playing with Storn and Sander: we've had a good run since Trunau. I wish you all best with this campaign. Thank you GM TwoSmiles for getting us this far.
Quill will be marching home soon enough. Will try to get an in character post up tomorrow.

1) Please put aside 1500 gp each for wands/healing/de-cursing. We have about 3 wands of CLW equivalent right now. But need more as Storn sucks them down like...<insert sucking thing here>

”Didn’t we have a map? Who has the map?” Quill looks at Chwaer as if the dwarf was bogarting the map. Then he remembers Storn heading into the woods alone, where bears do their business. Did he have the map with him?
”How much further to JacketsOff?” Quill asks, mindful and worried about entering the Dwarven fortress.

Please add the 10 +1 orc bane arrows to the sell pile. There is no way Quill wants those on his tab.
If no one wants the Dragonfoe Amulet, Quill will take it.
Looks like the last time we bought/sold stuff was March of 2018?!
Quill doesn't want any scrolls. If they are healing type scrolls, they should go in the party kitty.

Level up to come.
@Molly: do you mind and have time to enchant Quill's belt of dex to +4? Sounds like we have 2 weeks or more of travel in front of us.

Great questions. It's good when characters keep posting and pushing.
Quill has recently posted answers to some of these, but will consolidate them.
1. Quill has no idea and is worried about it.
2. Quill doesn't see any good idea to light the forge if it is unsafe. It's clearly unsafe right now.
3. Same as #2, mostly. He worries a lot about a lot of things.
4. Get smoochies from Marigold Pottersmoot.

Apparently we’re not going to hear from Chwaer or Molly on important decisions or discussions. Let’s move on.
Quill agrees with Sander that *if* the party must decide to light the forge without making sure the area is safe, then doing so in the dragon’s lair is the best spot.
”Should we scatter the geodes about the room and hope one gets hit with Dragonsfire?”
But also, we should probably ensure the area is safe...or just leave the area altogether if we can’t ensure the Forge won’t fall into giant hands.
Quill Wand of CLW: 24/50 (6612) HP 57; AC 21 (23vgiants)/15/16; F+8,R+8,W+11;Init +5; Perc +18;Kn Eng+5; Rel+12,SenseMot+7,Spllcrft +13;Surv +14
Before anyone calls a dragon or cast spells...
”Hey guys...uh, we really can’t light this Forge when this area is overrun with giants. It’s just not safe. What is the point of doing that if the giants can just take it from us...we’ll be giving them a huge gift? No...let’s think about this.”

I have questions. Is the area safe? Have be re-checked to make sure there aren’t more bad giant around? Can the dragon get into the forge area? Is there a way in for the size we think it is?
Quill Wand of CLW: 24/50 (6612) HP 57; AC 21 (23vgiants)/15/16; F+8,R+8,W+11;Init +5; Perc +18;Kn Eng+5; Rel+12,SenseMot+7,Spllcrft +13;Surv +14
”You want to use what!? What if that calls 10 dragons? What if the dragon doesn’t want to burn in the right spot? How can you make it do the right thing? This is not a good plan!” Quill stares at the horn and Storn’s eager eyes.
Yeah, this is probably the right plan though not sure Quill is going to see it that way.
Quill Wand of CLW: 24/50 (6612) HP 57; AC 21 (23vgiants)/15/16; F+8,R+8,W+11;Init +5; Perc +18;Kn Eng+5; Rel+12,SenseMot+7,Spllcrft +13;Surv +14
Quill looks at Sander.
”Did you make some really nice fire chili for that festival a few years back? Can you recreate that? I was pooping fire for a few days after trying that,” Quill remembers a bit uncomfortably.
”Otherwise, I don’t have much fire magics. Not what the Elf that Hunts the World offers.”

Quill moves away from the forge, leaving the hard work to people who like grunting.
”I think we need to lay in the clay foundation first,” Quill notes, as he moves to a place where he can keep watch. There is no map, but put Quill someplace where he can overlook things and guard those who are working.
”After that, we need that geody thing. The crystal rock.”

"Breathes fire, huh? I suppose that's better than not being able to breathe at all, which feels terrible too," Quill seems sad for a moment, trying to keep in the moment and keeping watch on the skies.
When the party is ready, he is ready to slowly and careful sneak downstairs to light the Forge, taking care that the area is safe before storning things up.

"Dragon. I did not request going into a dragon's den," Quill worries. "I don't want to get cooked alive or melted by acid or frozen to death today. Please. No."
Do we know what color it was? And what it might breathe?

+1 for Zeppelstorn. Lots of hot air in that. :)
Quill runs along under the zeppelstorn, wondering how that is any more comfortable than anything else that Storn does.
"Now what?" Quill asks, looking on.
Not sure we're all in the zeppelstorn at this point. Just for maybe some of the higher peaks or over crevasses, but if I'm wrong, put me where I should be.

I can’t tell if you’re trolling me or not. You have chances to help the party. How do you know it’s a knowledge religion roll? Why not proactively ask what the knowledge roll is needed? Or roll what you do have and let the GM rule on it?

Round 3
Quill 5’ steps to AC18 and shoots again, still imbuing his bow with Elf-power. He shoots at any ooze first (for full damage, maybe?) if not, at a statue.
Can we get a GMPC Arcana check for Molly on these things? Information about why Quill’s arrows aren’t working as well would be nice and we need active players to make active rolls.

Quill readies his bow and arrows, counting to make sure he has the right arrows ready for anything. Ayep, checked have ghost salted & adamantine & silver blanched arrow heads, just in case.
”Are you sure we were here before?” Quill asks, not quite remembering any of the details. ”Seems like it was months ago. We should do a better search this time.”

Quill jogs along, trying to keep up while keeping an eye out for trouble. He isn’t sure that more monsters haven’t moved in, because that’s the kind of monstrously evil things that some monsters will do: move in to pounce on you at the last second.
”We should still be careful. Let’s find the clay so we can get out of these damn mountains,” Quill says as he gets his bow ready.
He keeps an eye out while the scouts scout for trouble.

I thought we were missing the clay as well, but could be wrong.

Quill opts to stay with the gear when the party goes back down for the blessing. He'll still cast the water breathing, but has had enough of the water, the silt that seems to get into every crevasse, and blurry, watery eyes. Instead, he'll guard the gear and generally have some alone time.
And he totally won't be thinking about what it would be like if Marigold Pottersmoot was there with him. Or if they were kissing or skinny dipping or anything. Nothing of the sort.

Third, Quill stares at Storn, who had storned the shit out of the seaogres, solo.
