Ah. So it is. Well then. *ahem*

This does not change my interest in the scenario, but now maybe we could also do a ghost-centric scenario. :D

I've been trying to read the Rt5rrmn entry out loud to a friend for the last half an hour. I still haven't made it to the end without laughing so hard I can't breathe.

I'm resting now and will try again after I've refocused.

Amazing writing, James. I was looking forward to the War of Immortals already, but now it is marked on my calendar. I can only imagine my co-workers will have questions on why there's sharpie scrawled across most of late October in the break room, but then I'll get to show them this!

The examples given in Manifest Eidolon (being forced outside 100 feet of the Summoner, or the Summoner dropping to 0HP) call out the physical form dissolving, and the eidolon only being able to return again through the Manifest Eidolon action. There's no reason to assume it works any other way when the Summoner dismisses their eidolon willingly.

That said, it's your game and therefore your call. Maybe create a secret bulk limit to what "extra items" the eidolon can carry. Maybe some special material doesn't want to vanish and reappear along with the eidolon.

*shrug* Unless there's some hidden errata somewhere that I missed, I say have fun with it.

Okay, Iconic theories. I'm betting at least one is an Orc or Leshie, they're both base ancestries now and the only ones without at least one iconic.

It is this same reasoning that I'm hoping/betting on a Kobold Commander that uses both base materials and their companions to set traps all over the battlefield.

I sure hope I never see a combat encounter where a group of PCs at 19 challenge points face the same threat as a group at 32. Yikes!

For chases and skill contests, I've never seen an extra success required for larger tables being an problem, but I agree with Talon's example of 2,2,2,2,2,3 being rough and an extreme case. I can definitely see some Hero Points being distributed maybe every 45 minutes instead of every hour if the party is having that tough of a go with it.

That, or they can reveal two gods are safe at a time going forward, saving the final reveal for the livestream.

I suppose that's possible, but after reading Pharasma's prophesy, I'd hate to see any attention and detail taken away from any one of the other deities for the sake of wordcount.

Plus, it makes for more moving parts for the upcoming novel.

Alright, so if Calistria isn't next week for Valentine's Day that's a huge missed opportunity. And I betcha we get Gozreh on the Vernal Equinox (March 20).

Actually we do not. The authors have clarified that nothing can be inferred from this book about which Core 20 deity dies.

Very true, but as a crackpot Sherlock wannabe, I have cleverly deduced through complete guessing and the ignoring of facts that the dead deity shall not be Arazni, Sarenrae, Pharasma, or Asmodeus. They are all present on the cover of the new book (three in stained glass, one as an official designated bird holder). I think I'm going to add Rovagug as a fifth 'not-gonna-die' deity as well, as I have just now decided that the purple and black rose looking thing below stained glass Sarenrae is Mr. Vagug himself.

We're on to you, Paizo. Your secrets are forfeit. Probably.

As for the evil playtest clowns, I can take 'em or leave 'em. So like 6/10. But I am 100% here for the Ringmaster of the Dark Celebration, who is obviously a 30-foot tall demonic Hugh Jackman with a goth remix of The Greatest Show blaring through tinny megaphones behind him.

Also, I can't wait to run a heist on Shiela Heidmarch. I'm foolishly presuming that's what it'll be all about. Possibly a bad idea, but I know a Summoner who is arrogant enough to think they can pull something like that off, so...

I'm currently wrapping up running this PbD, at the end of the final encounter. The PCs have defeated all of the undead (including wights spawned by the commanders), but are in rough shape. Do they need to get off the battle map to end the encounter and stop taking 8d6 fire each round?

The scenario says, "Once the PCs defeat the wights, they can move away from the area to escape the wildfire. When they’re out in the open..." It's not clear whether that means, "The PCs are able to leave the area," or "The PCs automatically and instantly leave the area."

I took this to mean that once the PCs defeat the wights, the encounter is over and it is assumed that they will get the heck out of there, as by this point in the battle the heat damage each round and the smoke is kind of insane to just stand around in (Assuming of course, none of their own are dying on the battlefield and need to be dragged away).

It probably helped that my group were all pretty fast and could easily get off the map within a round or two if they just ran for it.
