@GM: A note on Prickles
Prickles is a bodyguard animal companion. He is always on Defend (Danicka), unless I specify otherwise. Also, he has exclusive (Danicka), so he can't be commanded by anyone other than her. Attempts by other allies or enemies to command or push him automatically fail.
Prickles has the following three relevant abilities that will come up in play.
Tenacious Guardian (Ex): Prickles can always act in a surprise round (though he remains flat-footed until he acts). As long as Danicka is adjacent, he remains conscious (though it becomes staggered) when his hit points fall below 0. While below 0 hit points, Prickles loses 1 hit point per round but gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks, dying only if its hit points reach a negative total equal to its Constitution score plus its master’s class level.
Bodyguard (feat): When an adjacent ally is attacked, Prickles may use an attack of opportunity to attempt the aid another action to improve that ally’s AC.
And Prickles has combat reflexes, so he can use his bodyguard ability a maximum of four times a round. On Prickles' turn, I will include all four potential aid AC attempts in a spoiler at the bottom of his post, to ease in gameplay.
Finally, Prickles doesn't leave Danicka's side. Since he's on defend, during combat he usually readies an action to attack an enemy that comes within his reach. I will also include that in a spoiler when applicable.

The dog snarls and keeps moving for a while, just to show his whiny pet that he doesn't need to listen to her. The he relaxes, sitting on the ground at her side.

As Danicka steps forward, a vicious looking dog with a blood-stained maw and an absurd pink bow around his neck steps out from behind the scrawny mage. He growls low in his throat and steps between Danicka and the other Pathfinders, snapping his jaws.

FYI, Prickles is on the 'Defend' trick at all times unless I specify otherwise. he has the 'Exclusive (Danicka)' trick so no one else can give him commands. He also has the following abilities which he'll make use of throughout this scenario whenever possible:

He's still on defend (Danicka), so he won't fight unless she gets hurt and will always try to stay by her side. If Danicka is attacked Prickles will use his bodyguard ability to use an attack of opportunity to attempt the aid another action to improve her AC.

Prickles gives his pet a look of irritation and eats the big treat in a rather offended fashion. The entire time he continues to growl at the nearby prey who dared touch him and approach his pet.

Hahaha! Prickles even has the exclusive trick so only Danicka can handle him (and no one can bribe him like she once did!). So it's an extra wasted 20.
Despite the prey's calming tone and soothing mannerisms, it still stands far to close to his pet! Prickles continues to bark ferociously and snap his jaws at the prey!

If the thug takes an attack of opportunity on Danicka, Prickles uses on of his attacks of opportunity to:

Angry that the prey tried to harm his pet, Prickles pushes back Danicka (she uses a move action to step back with the rest of her turn. Then Prickles moves into the space she vacated) and tries to tear out the blue thug's throat!
Partway through her career while on a mission Danicka befriended a horribly vicious katapeshi hunting hound, which became her animal companion. Even months down the road she's still terrified of the thing. Prickles listens only to his 'pet' Danicka, and only when he feels like it. He's got the bodyguard archetype and combat reflexes, so he's typically on 'defend' and only gets into the fight once his pet's been harmed.
Note: If anyone attacks Danicka Prickles uses one of his four attacks for opportunity to attempt to use the aid another action to increase her AC (he has the feats bodyguard and combat reflexes).
