Ok, looking at the item list and assuming we have been able between us to get it all back I suggest we trade in the following items, should Oleg be happy to take them for trade;
133 arrows
17 crossbow bolts
8 mwk studded leather armor
6 mwk short sword
7 longbow
4 throwing axe
3 crates of furs and hides
2 mwk hand axe
1 mithral breastplate
1 mwk heavy wooden shield w/adamantine spikes
1 mwk composite (+4 Str) shortbow
1 backpack (backpack, bag of caltrops, bedroll, coin purse [571 gp, 9 sp], explorer's outfit, flint & steel, signet ring [Surtova crest], waterskin)
1 backpack (bedroll, blanket, everburning torch, flint & steel, iron vial [empty], manacles, signal horn, silver and ivory amulet, torch [2], waterskin, whetstone)
1 polished wooden case of liquor (8 bottles)
1 explorer's outfit
1 pair of silver earrings
1 wooden music box
We also have 17 horses and a pony which I imaging we can trade in at least 10 of should they be wanted.
If anyone wants any of the above or I have missed anything then let me know!
Polson echoes K'tzhang's words in regards to the bandits. He wanders around checking the horses and bundling up the goods which the party intend to trade.
"Tell me more about this fort. Location, numbers, fortification, warning systems, protection, the whole works. You keep co operating like this and I may even speak at your trial for you."
Addressing the second bandit only Polson asks "You are very much correct that talking is what will keep you alive, and you can start by telling me who the 'boss' is."
Ok well Belros takes the bracers of resistance then, Sunny can take the Elven boots and Sulna the magical urumi. K't to cary two potions, maybe Nerik could have the other two. That leaves a cloak, an amulet and two rings...
Sure. We split it between the five of us if people want to put forward their preferences for picks...
Potions should go to the group - Maybe K'tzhang could be in charge of them.
I would like to take the cloak of Elvenkind but am happy to take a different item.
That leaves an unknown cloak still to identify, an amulet, the boots of elvenkind, the ring of protection (+1), an unknown ring and the bracers of resistance +1.
Belros has back his chain shirt which is now magical and Sulna wants the magical Urumi.
Non magical items to those that want them and the rest gets packed up ready for sale.
"The reward will be living or dead Sulna, and unless they start talking I'm inclined to start stringing them up. it's a fair trek back to Oleg's and not sure what will happen to them there. The punishment for banditry is the same if we do it here or they do it back there which I guess these boys already realise. I will leave it to the group to decide but none of you need to do the dirty work, Nerik and I will do that..."
Polson approaches the bound bandits and sits down, cross legged. "As you boys are no doubt aware the punishment for banditry is a rope and a tree which I'm inclined to oblige with. That said, I'm equally happy and of a mind to just throw you alive in with your friends and fill in the hole. We want to know who you work for as a starter and the more information you are inclined to offer the better my mood will become."
Once the items are set to one side Polson begins stripping the dead bandits naked and piles their kit to one side.
"If we are going to stay I suggest we dig a pit big enough for them. They are not going to be fresh for long and I don't want to attract too much attention to our camp. As for the live ones, we keep them prisoner tonight and then we decide on what we are doing with them in the morning. We need to keep them bound and they are guarded all night. If any try and escape, we kill them all, agreed?"
Polson begins looking for suitable tools for a large grave but not before thanking K'tzhang for his healing...
If no one objects I will take two of the eight masterwork shortswords , a suit of masterwork studded leather and the thieves tools if they are still available/unwanted. The rest we can share and sell once identified.
Polson gathers up some rope to bind the bandits. "Let's get them tied up and if there is some healing going I'm still bleeding here. If you want my opinion, healing them will only delay the appropriate justice that should be administered."
Hi just checked mine and realised its +2 for my stronghand damage and +1 for my offhand - sorry my bad on that. That would be that extra three points from last time :(
Polson smiles as the healing from K'tzhang washes over him, stemming the blood and pain. He tightens his grip on both swords and adjusts his stance for combat...
Polson rummages through his rations trying to find something fitting the bill, maybe some dried fruit, and lays it down on the ground in front of him. His fingers have loosened on his blade as he scans the area for the source of the voice.
Used to being left well enough alone Polson seems surprised by the questions coming in his direction. Stroking his chin he puts down his sword and whetstone to talk to his comrades.
"Sunny, I know no more about that creature than you. I do not believe it to be natural and it seemed to be either protecting it's territory or looking for a meal. It was obviously not smart in attacking a group but I guess it is the apex predator in this area. At least I hope it is! K'tzhang, I have no more of a plan at present other than to continue southwest till we find these brigands and see that they face justice at the end of a rope. On e that is done I think we go see your people and arrange our peaceful co existence." Polson hopes he has given the answers people expect of him and settles back on his bedroll to while away some time talking to his new friends.
