What a potentially very unpleasant surprise, in another campaign where there was another book after this! Imagine being halfway into a 13th level adventure and then suddenly having to deal with an additional high level spellcaster in the middle of another encounter.

Pippimi waves goodbye to the Admiral's electroencephalon, nodding with satisfaction as Zulu confirms that its been totally destroyed. With that final loose end wrapped up (and her work with Blastwerks reported in), she turns to face the rest of the team.

"So Pippimi thinking..." She rubs at the fur on her cheeks "Pippimi thinking about question Davrin asked. What might be next." She raises all six paws into the air.

"How about one last victory round! Go say hullo-hi to everyone now that imminent sun destruction not breathing down team necks!" She looks up at Davrin "Lots of places that team visit, like Castrovel or Eox, could have people who would want to spend fun time with Davrin for while? Especially now that famous." Then to Zoran "And Pippimi also want to visit Kish and Clank to see if big rifts in Kish culture can be healed after cultist visit." Then to Zulu "And Zulu so super smart now that probably everyone at Castrovel University want to talk with and learn from, yep!" Before looking at Lenny "Plus what better way to start new pilates franchise than everywhere at once?"

She beams at the group "So how about? One more trip together. For fun this time."

"Hmmm... Pippimi also feel not sure..." She looks at the rest of the group "Of course, Pippimi going back to brief Blastwerks on what happen and help R&D get to remains of Stellar Degenerator. But after that, old job seem kind of..." She goes quiet "Not very important?" That statement seems quite difficult for her. "After helping save Pact Worlds, going back to help with company efficiency seem very mundane."

"And... Pippimi not want to leave friends behind."

Pippimi flops on the ground in the ship as the group speeds away from the billowing, cosmic explosion. Beaten up, bruised, bloody, and totally spent, it takes all of ten seconds before she falls asleep in her armor. She ends up staying that way all through the first day as she slowly recovers from the ordeal, and only rises up briefly to sleepily exchange business cards with Lenny (when he offers his), before plopping into her bunk and snoozing while clutching the totally not cursed Spear of Fate.

Midway into the trip she emerges refreshed and reenergized, having swapped her weapons and armor for the business-y pinafore you saw her in back when you first met on the Okimoro. She scampers about celebrating with the team, sharing drinks and looking out into the colorful void of the Drift.

"Team did it! Somehow! Even maybe wasn't all that hard!" She nods, crading a bottle in three hands "That part surprise Pippimi most. That at end of day, just normal people that happen to show up at wrong place at wrong time end up saving entire Pact Worlds and probably also Veskarium! If so easy to save universe, Pippimi wonder if just as easy to ruin it? Hopefully not! Very hopefully not."

Hurrah! Although its been quite the journey and 3 (!!!) years in real time, somehow it feels like the AP has been all too short. A whirlwind of places and punching bad guys. It was a pretty wild run with some silly and not-so-silly characters and I'm glad I got to run it with all of you guys.

@Ewok: As someone who has been running my own Dead Suns in parallel with this one (though slightly slower - we're currently finishing up Hangar Country), I know very well how much wonderful additional stuff you created for us along the way. Loved all your characterization and the way you let us run with some silly ideas. You really went above and beyond for the group.

For everyone else, what a great group! I've now been in many short and long term groups on the boards, and this is one of the few where everyone was on the same page and vibing from early on. Loved the characters and everyone made me laugh one time or another. 5/5 - Would save the universe with you all again.

Pippimi sways, blood filling her suit as the claws tear at her. Things are NOT looking good for her, but she stays on the offensive while she can. She swings in a circle around the blue baykok, stabbing away before she dives back to the escape pod. "Pippimi thinking now time to go!"

@Lenny: Sadly the plasma cannon's in the front arc, which none of the foes were in for Round 1

As far as firing is concerned, I think Pippimi has three options depending on how the flying goes: Turret Gravity Cannon vs. orange if it ends up behind us, Starboard+Turret Broadside vs purple, or Port+Turret Broadside vs. orange. I'll hold off on rolling until its clear which one we end up with.

With the massive flagship moving pretty slowly even with Davrin at the helm, Pippimi decides its time to flex the ship's overwhelming firepower against the less agile of the two craft. (Based on your description, orange already moved, right?) She aims all the available forward weapons at orange!

"Sending to final death?" Pippimi looks over the capital ship's specs and presses the bony buttons that transfer command of one of the ship's weapons to her console. "That not sound too difficult! This ship have WAY too many big explody weapons. Blastwerks R&D will like taking it apart!"

I'll take a +10, bringing up Pippimi's gunnery to +27. Luckily gunnery doesn't have to hit DCs that scale that fast, so I expect that'll let her deal a lot of damage with the ultra plasma cannon.

I've played as a caster in SFS at mid levels. Its a total nightmare if something grabs you. Your AC tends to be low enough that its easy for them to maintain, you can't cast anything without getting interrupted, and you usually can't get high enough attack rolls or acrobatics to get free. You just total defense and pray!

Blind-fight went from complete dead weight to ultimate superstar in this fight!

Being a grappled spellcaster is pain and suffering. I'm not sure what this guy's EAC is, but I think Pippimi's AoO could hit him on a natural 2, given all the wonderful buffs and the pinned penalties (net -6 AC). But I'm not going to argue against an additional crit.

I mentioned it before, but I have the feat that lets me ignore 5 points of energy resistance and DR on my weapon attacks. In case that matters.

Luckily, Pippimi has free arms to AoO with even while two are occupied with the grapple! So the pin remains at least until the end of this current turn. Also... does Pippimi have miss chance while she's actively grappling her enemy? Logically I'd guess no, but as far as the rules are concerned, it seems like she does still have to roll.

Pippimi feels the bony bad guy trying to draw in some more magical energy, so she goes ahead and gives him a fiery stab with her spear to make him regret it!

Retracting her spear from whatever soft bit she managed to stab, Pippimi attempts to maintain her grip on the Admiral. She pipes up with "Corpse Fleet welcome to try. Neither Pact Worlds nor Veskarium going to let Fleet have way without fight." She nods and squeezes, sending vibrations through the fellow's body. "Lots of very powerful people out in Pact Worlds. If Admiral think Pippimi tough, then he not want to see how Pippimi boss fight like!"

What did Pippimi do that triggered an AoO from the Admiral? I wouldn't have guessed that he had reach from his art.

Pippimi manages to shrug off the magical transmutation, finally overcoming one of the Admiral's spells. She calls out in the general direction she heard the voice coming from "Pippimi plenty worthy! Everyone here plenty worthy! Pippimi starting to think maybe Admiral little bit full of self!" With instructions from Zulu, she circles the area she thinks the Admiral will be in and then zips toward him from the back to try to grab the rather slippery undead creature once more.

Still silent, Pippimi uses hand signals to try to convey that the group should back off for just a moment to tend to their wounds. Her paw wiggles are all but indecipherable - sign language wasn't a required training at Blastwerks - but her steps back the way the group came are more meaningful.

Yep, rest time for sure. Not sure how much more we've got, but pushing ahead while we're beaten up like this seems bad, especially if there are more hard encounters like this one. We just lucked out big time here.

With no dark forces trying to take her over, Pippimi cheerily spins the new spear around a bit before clacking the butt of it against the deck "OK! Time for super sword to take break!" She arms herself with her gloves and new spear, considers for a moment, then keeps her zero-rifle out as well, just for variety. Positively bristling with arms and armor, she gives a pair of thumbs up to her team with her free paws.

"How about right doors first? If this end up a labyrinth, then always going right always right, right?" She readies to open the doors once the rest of the party has made their peace with the dangerous but powerful artifacts.

While Zoran and Lenny are mulling over the risk of taking any of these artifacts, Pippimi has already opened the case of the spear and is in the process of fishing it out. "Spear seem fine though? Just sound like very fancy weapon with effective marketing campaign that make rich and powerful want it." She grabs a hold of it and raises it above her head with two hands "Ta da! Nothing happen to Pippimi yet, right?"

Anyone else want it? If not, its a pretty good upgrade over her currently weapon.

She jumps up to see the various fancy artifacts in their cases, getting only a glimpse of them with each jump. She scrunches up her face in frustration and turns on her boots, walking up the side of a case to get a better view. "Look fancy. Maybe also very powerful? Pippimi definitely skipping creepy worm, but maybe spear not too cursed to use in fight?"

Not a chance here to ID, but hopefully we'll get at least some of the Engineering ones with the help of the rest of the party. Shame the Warlord stone will be a mystery for this group.
