That gets Beaky's attention. It releases Scarlet, and goes after the man.

Owlbears are the official monster mascot of the Kingmaker Adventure Path. Many of the early APs had a classic D&D monster mascot (for instance in Crimson Throne it was otyughs). These 'mascot' beasties would show up frequently in various forms over the course of the AP they were featured in (usually one encounter per module). Enjoy. :)


A deep strangely eerie foghorn sounds in the wake of the explosion.

As slabs of ceiling stone fall a big owl-headed creature the size of the biggest bear anyone has ever seen rushes from the western chamber and into Scarlet! AoO Scarlet. It rears up obviously angry and swings a huge claw at Scarlet's face.

"WHOO!!"
