Illthir Winlowe |
"Go Durgan! Crush that song-hating scum!!" Illthir shouts out as encouragement when their mega-dwarf lands on/near the Stag Lord.
The Skald herself was thinking of healing her own sorry ass a little. She pulled a Cure Light Wounds scroll from its case and readied it and - ? noticed the poor fox bleeding out just a few steps from her. ... That poor fox that somehow had tried to help them...
"Ah dammit why did it have to be a cute animal?!" she groaned and stepped over to give away the healing from her scroll.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Move to draw scroll, 5' step to the left and standard to use scroll on the fox
Victoria Velasco |
Victoria runs to help her fox when she sees one of the attackers cast a healing spell on him. Oh, thank heavens! She gives the woman a smile and a nod of acknowledgement.
if she can see Salzarus, she'll try to hex him with slumber, DC17 will. Since there's no attack roll, I don't think mirror images will help him. If not, are there any enemies she can see?
Zokon Santyev |
ok well sickened now for rounds: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
Alia of the Blade |
Addendum last round - thanks.
As Alia moves, some additional Alias pop into existance surrounding her following her short chant.
Mirror Image: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
This round.
I think Durgan blocked the direct approach even if he is not on the lower map? Unless he floats? Or will Serena displace Staggy upon waking? Or do they squeeze?
Cursing the stones and rubble blocking her movement, Alia finds herself just unable to reach the stag lord. Realizing she is presenting a target despite her mirror images, she prepares to duck if any arrows(or other attacks) come her way.
Move action to just outside reach, Standard for total defense: +4 AC, 3 Images
Zokon Santyev |
Zokon moves forward under the walkway and hopefully to the side enough of Durgan to fire a shot with deadly aim
If he can't see well he targets any bad guy he can
Longbow-sick+insp+pbs-da: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Damage: 1d8 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 - 2 = 8
Well.. that's 3 ones in a row for d20 rolls from other games as well..
RPGGGM |
"Okay, okay." Mega Scarlet tries to focus. Trusting this guy and his potion, she chugs it down.
Assuming that wasn't poison, Scarlet wants to take aim at Salzarus. Does she have a clean shot?/
Chugging the cure moderate wounds potion is a standard action. Salzarus--beyond his mirror images, has cover form the tower he's in.
Salzarus the Black |
Victoria runs to help her fox when she sees one of the attackers cast a healing spell on him. Oh, thank heavens! She gives the woman a smile and a nod of acknowledgement.

The dark elf seems unaffected by the slumber hex. "HAHAHA!"
The Stag Lord, Bandit King |
This round.

grenade-like villain miss: 1d8 ⇒ 1 The Stag Lord rolls off Serena laughing and into the next room.
More tonight!
Scarlet Scarab |
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 3) + 3 = 11
"Thanks." The zombie's bruise feels a lot better now. "I'm going in. 'Scuse me!"
Assuming he is a friendly square, Scarlet moves 40 feet ahead, shortsword and light hammer ready.
Salzarus the Black |
"HAHAHAH!" the maniacal elf and his magical duplicates spin in unison making watchers slightly nauseaous. Each holds a small crossbow in their hand. They fire! A single bolt strikes Victoria's upper arm. It unnaturally burns.
hand crossbow v Victoria: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 + acid damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The Stag Lord, Bandit King |
Quick heads up, Staggy has some cover because of the wall he rolled behind.
"HAW-HAW-HAW!" The Stag Lord rolls with laughter and then casts his eyes to the west. He pauses for a moment tears in his eyes and says in a surprised, bemused tone "Beaky?"
}}KA-BOOOOOM!!!{{
Then a huge explosion rips thought the partial upper story of the ruins! Stone, lumber, nails, and other debris fly all over. The entire hillside the keep is on shakes.
Victoria reflex save DC 15 or fall from the rickety walkway to the ground (20').
"HAW-HAW-HAW!"
Owlbear! |
A deep strangely eerie foghorn sounds in the wake of the explosion.
"WHOO?!"
As slabs of ceiling stone fall a big owl-headed creature the size of the biggest bear anyone has ever seen rushes from the western chamber and into Scarlet! AoO Scarlet. It rears up obviously angry and swings a huge claw at Scarlet's face.
"WHOO!!"
claw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 grab?: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (20) + 17 = 37
Akiros Ismort, the Fallen |
"It's Beaky!" Akiros calls over the tumult. He rushes past Illthir, his ponytail flying. "The hunters brought it down a week back and the Stag Lord thought it might make a nice pet! It's the biggest I had ever seen!"
He moves in to aid Scarlet.
RPGGGM |
Distantly Poshbot says. "...And that's why I always carry 10 pounds of caltrops. The end. So whadya think? Pretty funny story, right?" Inspire ends.

Maps (UPPER FLOOR, and GROUND FLOOR) updated.
Scarlet Scarab |
"Wait, who is that?" Scarlet is bewildered as the thing approaches. She chops at it with her shortsword.
Masterwork Shortsword, Sickened: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 8 - 2 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 2 = 2
Scarlet swings at dead air and raises her shield, but it's too late. The thing digs its claws into her and holds her down.
As a reminder, I get +1 to my CMB/CMD checks since I'm enlarged. Not that it would help here.
"Beaky? Dang it." Scarlet drops her hammer and tries to break free.
CMB, Large, Bloodrage, Sickened: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 12 But that isn't happening.
Poshment Underhill |
Posh steps towards Felgram and smirks as he points his fingers to blind him with his magic
Casting Blindness on him. DC 17 Fort
"Take a look at this!" he cried out as he attempts to blind one of the Staglord's Men and hopes his performance is turning the tide one way or another.
Illthir Winlowe |
Illthir tries her hand at another spell. Grease under Beaky! Then she moves towards the witch and the stag lord.
Grease DC 15 or fall over for Beaky

I believe the icon Posh is targeting (in the northern forest-line area) is just there because it and the others have been set off to the side. Sneeg is still inside the fort somewhere.
RPGGGM |
Durgan sacrifices one of his two Resist Energy spells to heal Serena.
[dice=CMW]2d8+4Then he draws his axe (which he had stowed climbing down the wall).
How high and intact are these interior walls? Can Durgan see Scarlet, Beaky, or the Stag Lord?
20' and mostly intact except for obvious openings.
Zokon Santyev |
I'm a little confused by the maps.. can I actually see anyone and if not can I move to see as it seems there are levels involved and such?
RPGGGM |
Assuming Zokon's position on the upper floor map is the correct one, then his (and Durgan's) only visible target is the prone Stag Lord rolling in the doorway to the south. The central keep wall to his west is 20' high and blocks his view of Scarlet in the next chamber over. Likewise there's no good angle from his current location to even see the dark elf who is in a lookout tower 20' overhead and behind some walkways. The Stag Lord is prone and has some cover from the doorway (and Durgan) and so is a difficult shot for Zokon at present.
Zokon Santyev |
Well if he can see the stag lord.. he uses studied target on him and fires a shot trying to counter the woozyness he feels but aiming with deadly purpose
longbow+pbs+st-sick: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Victoria Velasco |
reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Victoria knew the explosion was coming soon and was sort of ready for it. She crouches almost instinctively as the debris goes flying. However, she is fairly open up here. She hits the ground and rolls to her side, hanging off the bridge and finally dropping down to the ground below.
acrobatics to soften fall: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

So Posh is nowhere near him?
RPGGGM |
So Posh is nowhere near him?
Correct. That's just my pile of minis that I might need to grab at a moment's notice.
RPGGGM |
Okay, I updated the current maps a bit. Quick tip: the two slides are set up so that if you move your icon on one you can just copy and paste it on to the other and it should show up in the right place. Then you can just delete your old map icon on that map. Also note, that the Upper Floor Map doesn't show anyone who is completely under a ceiling, but it does show people who you could ordinarily see from the sky directly above. I know, it's a weird map. I did this in 3D the last time around.
RPGGGM |
Beaky! reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Beaky slips in the grease and comically falls the ground.
"WHOOoo?!" {THUD!}
The Stag Lord laughs at the sight.
Meanwhile Durgan channels the power of Abadar into the fallen paladin rousing her to consiousness.
Zokon from his perch upon a boulder launches a shot past the two and into the door frame above the Stag Lord's. He stops his rolling, notes the deeply buried shaft and laughs again.
Victoria nimbly drops to the ground.
Alia and Posh, yer up!
Alia of the Blade |
Alia moves over the rubble and past the Stag Lord, attempting to surround him with her allies, well away she leaves herself open, but trusting his laughing to be enough of a distraction for him to strike at her.
Acrobatics, Full Speed, Difficult Terrain: 1d20 + 13 - 10 - 5 ⇒ (6) + 13 - 10 - 5 = 4 I guess that means I provoke :P
Stab?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 Pierce: 2d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 3) + 5 = 10 NL Cold: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
"Beak-who?"
The Stag Lord, Bandit King |
Because the Stag Lord is not actually helpless Alia can't get around him with that acrobatics check which ends her movement in the nearest legal space (which I gather is next to Serena).
Alia thwacks the door frame with her long blade.
And I forgot to roll Staggy's second Will save last round: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 But it doesn't matter.
The Stag Lord roars with laughter at people's attempts to kill him.
Akiros Ismort, the Fallen |
With a roar, Akiros swings his blade in a might arc at the big owl-bear-thing.
longsword v Beaky (v prone, v grappled, rage! power attack): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Owlbear! |
That gets Beaky's attention. It releases Scarlet, and goes after the man.
claw (prone): 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 11 - 4 = 23 damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
claw (prone): 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 11 - 4 = 23 damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
bite (prone): 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 11 - 4 = 24 damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
It batters him pretty good, with three brutal attacks.
It attempts to rise at the beginning of its next turn resulting in possible AoOs.

Maps (UPPER FLOOR, and GROUND FLOOR) updated.
Alia of the Blade |
I was not actually moving through him - or is he blocking the doorway in such a way to prevent diagonally moving through?
That is to say, can I reach the position I wanted(Grey Alia on map)? Could I move there, then stab? Or am I stuck on this side and have to deal with the partial cover?
Scarlet Scarab |
Scarlet coughs some more, and then focuses her aim on manbearpig. Her shortsword burns bright red as she swings.
Masterwork Shortsword, Bloodrage, Sickened: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9
Fire: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Then she draws her kukri. "Out of the way, beaky. Me and me friend here are trying to hunt!"
RPGGGM |
I was not actually moving through him - or is he blocking the doorway in such a way to prevent diagonally moving through?
Doorways are 'hard edges/corners' and characters can't move through spaces occupied by unfriendlies without a successful acrobatics check (vs their foe's CMB + modifiers). Failing to do so ends a character's current move action.
Scarlet manages to wing the beast.
Beaky is going to try and get up on his turn so if Scarlet wants to take her AoO she can.
Scarlet Scarab |
"Oi! Stay down!" She takes the opportunity to slash the owlbear as it stands up.
Masterwork Shortsword, Bloodrage, Sickened: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 8
Fire: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Serena Mistcastle |
Remaining on the ground, Serena uses a swift action to lay hands on herself and then draws her scimitar and slashes at Staggie's ankles, attempting to smite evil as she does so.
Lay on hands: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Scimitar vs. Stag-Lord, prone, smite evil: 1d20 + 6 - 4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 6 - 4 + 3 = 6 Damage, smite evil: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7
AC is currently 25/13/25
Crap!
Zokon Santyev |
Zokon is still trying to recover but he cant so he attacks... trying volume of fire at the stag lord
LOngbow+pbs+st-sick-rf: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
LOngbow+pbs+st-sick-rf: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Alia of the Blade |
Frustrated that the doorway is blocked, Alia remembers her training, and attempts to rebound from the doorway into a roll past the Stag Lord, ready to abandon her plan if it seems unlikely to succeed.
Acrobatics DC 5+CMD: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
Ok, so I move through him. Or I provoke, albeit I do have cover from him too.
Regardless of the success of the success of her attempt, she follows up with a quick trust at the Stag Lords Center of Mass.
Stab: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 +/- 2 for flanking/soft cover
Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10 Nonlethal Cold+Fatigue: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
