Orion suddenly looks shocked

*gasp* "Did I leave the gas on?"

She then shifts to the form of a small air elemental and is out the door like a minuscule zephyr.

Good gaming everyone!

"Word of mouth can get distorted over time, so boos are good in that regard. However, people tend to think just because something is written down its true. That can be a problem when they're wrong. "

"How many people are they going to call in for this thing?"

I have summons for trap checkers.

"Perhaps you'd like to stay here have some tea and put your feet up? " Orion asks sardonically?

"How about because it's what we pathfinders do?!? We explore the strange and mysterious and spread the knowledge. "

"He's clearly upsetting the balance. He needs to be corrected. " Orion says sternly.

From what you describe, I agree. Whatever foulness causes plants to die, faces in rock formations to form and islands to move suddenly is probably what we are being summoned here for, and that many magical effects on such a small island can't be coincidence.

"Well, yea. Plus Islands usually don't move. When they do it's never good. Unless it's a dragon turtle, but then it probably wouldn't be on a map in the first place. "
"I highly doubt it's a dragon turtle....unless hey have a secret we don't know..."

Orion agrees. "No. Probably not a dragon turtle. "

Leafripper does not like talking to larger crowds than the one nearest to him(Suzu and Raphael) plus 3 more people

Leafripper flinches, knowing at least some 4-6 other people heard him....

"I usually send summoned creatures. They're REALLY useful. Have you ever seen a clouder, that's a group of cats, pounce on some angry gnolls? It's hysterical. "

"Thanks." Orion says as he joins them at the table. He has to hop a bit to get into the chair. "Why is everything always sized for humans. You'd think someone considers them the norm or something. I digress. I'm here because of the island and I my presence was requested. I've got some (brief pause) rather unique talents that may be useful. It's hard to keep me down. "

Edit: Even if I'm not the newcomer you were referring to Orion will take the same actions as if you were talking to him. :-)

HI! Pleased to meet you. I'm Orion Snow, Druid of Gozreh. I got the note, but it also reminded me that I haven been back to the lodge in ages. You may have heard of me, but it's been a long time, so perhaps not. It's different than I remember. Bigger I think. I suppose that it's natural to add buildings and such over time. Oh, I'm rambling aren't I? I'm here because of the note and the island. I did a flyover on the way here. it's very weird and definitely unnatural. I wasn't going to get too close though. I figured the pathfinders will have some information about it and go as a group.

This is Tiny Coffee Golem's submission. The info in on the sheet. If I get selected I'll make it a bit prettier. Currently it's just the output from Herobuilder.

Anyone who can see out the front window (or door if it's open) sees a small sized air elemental come at high speed from the sky and stop about 5 feet from the door. Without completely stopping the elemental solidifies into a brown wild haired friendly looking gnome. He falls about an inch as he solidifies. His clothing is simple and earth toned (go figure).

He walks boldly into the room and looks around.

Edit: he carries no obvious weapon. Also he's barefoot.

On the next turn I want to turn and grab the bird's leg above the claw and prepare to climb up it when it tries to drop me.

DM Caleth wrote:

Orion, I'm not sure what you are trying to do, since after your AoO, you are grappled by the bird, so you can't really jump anywhere.

The half-orc attacking Quodak hears Krathok and raises his iron club, hesitating and looking to his axe wielding companion for guidance.

Hulle nie! Die jakkalse! the axe wielder shouts, and gestures towards Orion and the squad commander. He bows his head for a moment, casting a spell and projects a spectral axe, which hacks at Orion.

The rest of DM's turn coming once I get the clarification from Orion.

** spoiler omitted **

** spoiler omitted **

I misunderstood what was happening. I'm going to AOO it then attempt to break the grapple (rolled an 18) and climb on top of it. It's a big bird, right. Basically I'm trying to reposition so I am behind it's head between it's wings. Holding on for dear life to the creatures neck feathers. Once up there I'll see what to do. Either choke it or crack it in the back of the head. Whatever's easier.

Orion is going to slash at the thing with his claws (AOO) and try and jump on it's back. Orions wings unfurl as he catches the breeze to aid his leap.

AOO 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 101d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Acrobatics to jump 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (16) + 20 = 36

CMB to grapple 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

I think those are the necessary rolls.
