Good assumption. Sorry, with van having given himself such a similar name I seem to be getting a little confused on who is doing what.

[b]A lack of struggle would be much more efficient and desirable. This one is ready to begin when all other broodsiblings have prepared for this endeavor.[b]

Functional, prepared, ready, alive. Siblings, this one suggests we make haste and reconnoiter the immediate surrounding areas for suitable host creatures and dangers. We know nothing of this place and may be in great danger.

We Await

One waits for further orders, the time was not right. It was time for engineers not warriors. One watches and attempts to brace itself for the imminent crash.

Sorry still rereading and trying to get the character back in my head again.

It all seems like a good plan.

it is because it shows up as inactive so no one is getting updates in their campaign tab. I just had the weird need to check.

One still waits. Always and forever.

One is still here. One still waits.

One still patiently waits for impact.

Ahem. Anchient fang dragon would be great.

Thinking small sir kracken body sir.

OK out of character I am going to lay out reasons and you guys can shoot me down if you want. Sargava. The terrain is favorable for hiding. It has a decent population, and it is in disarray half way to full revolt already. Plus accessible to major sea lanes.

Basking in the pure information filtering through its brain, one is almost at a loss to think. Population density, ambient tempature, seasonal shift extrapolations, pure raw data poured into it. Information is power, information is a weapon, wield that weapon, make it bend to your will. This was now its position.

We have to decide quickly, haste is of the utmost importance. We will impact surface soon, and we will not be able to make the ship mobile again. Extrapolations of tragectory and velocity pour across the broods connection as One serves as a living interface. I suggest we impact some place we can hide the ship and harvest serviceable hosts.

Funny enough the combat monsters agree. Whatever is fine by me.

One attempts to make itself useful, not knowing what else to do it moves to the front wall and places its head into the space made by the discs.

One is kinda lost at this juncture. He is trying the best he can, but is lost when it comes to tech.

I was assuming the plural of telekt is talent.

Not having advance knowledge of Telekt technology and in the absence of direct orders One Forth is in a bit of a quandary. He must function as best he can with what he has. That being said he will take the time to search over the Right hemisphere, attempting to decipher the damage.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

You missed a Telekt must follow the orders of a Telekt.... oh never mind on that.

Games have begun. Catch up sir.

Anyone else finding it a little odd that telekt stream of consciousness seems to be easier to post then most other character posts. Or is that just me?

With a wet smack the tiny telekt hits the floor, the birthing pod releasing it unceremoniously to it's new fate. Short moments and it is fuctionaly sapient.Imperative, assess systems readiness. Running diagnostic suite. The tiny form moves through drills designed to assess the readiness of it's form for the tasks ahead of it, slowly at first but gaining confidence and speed as it puts it's new body through its paces.Combat secretions non operable, targeting protocol suboptimal. Formation of glands incomplete, time required for full operational status...... indeterminate. The telekt takes a moment to compose it's thoughts.

Cold, it is cold. Life creeps and crawls through this one's form. Pain, no reassess statement. Incorrect assumption. Noncombat sensation, feelings hard to parse. Default to programmed directives. Assess environment for threats. The tiny telekt scans his surroundings for perceived enemies. No targets found in current environment, only units confirmed designated telekt brood, brood noted kin. Sibling type telekt brood, proceeding to imprint brood. Designation friendly, listed response defend and preserve.

The telekt scans his environment once again Designate environmental status... assessing... assessing... current situation noncombat zone. Protocol achieve preparedness for assault and defense. Designated need, armaments, host form of stronger physical capability, better fortified local.

A nagging buzz cut through the telekt's thoughts. Hard scrambling for attention as the other broodsiblings reach out for their siblings attention."Sibling's surrounding confirmed secure to immediate perceivable dimensions. Protocol suggests, as you are noncombat brood designated civilian, this one is to defend and insure survival of brood during their assigned duties. This one awaits further information for decision of best route to secure mission completion. Please continue as you were." With a brief moment of contemplation"Why has no superior come to decant and debrief this brood? Absence of higher authority is disconcerting. Trouble anticipated, situation status returned to tentative high risk designation pending further information."

I think Witness pretty much speaks for us all on this.

I for one would like to cast my vote for mwangi. Barring that mendev or the mammoth lords so we can bust through to the land of the lost they have there.

One who goes forth feels the impatience it has been programmed with. The state of near wakefulness burns at the back of its mind. One had to remind itself there was nothing it could do currently and it would be woken when it was needed.

Gmt-5 But I am a night shift worker and most days I check the forums by phone 1000 times or so.

OOC questions are always good. Oh that reminds me. When I take full control of someone and use them as a shell I get to use all their physical stats and all my mental stats right? Also my shapeshifter things I am going to use while in host as a kind of released enzyme thing. Should be interesting and flavorful.

Funny how many of us are in jade goblin as well. Similar tastes I guess.

Does it matter broodmates? Unless it would produce a suitable host for the defense of a colony or a suitable trained guard maybe? Oh please tell me it would.

I believe it does not matter what your personal belief is on the coexistence of science and and religion. What one has to decide is what the little brain with legs believes. For me I believe One who goes forth does not care one way or another as long as it serves to strengthen to the people. Some how I am getting the feeling that the Telekt were split into different factions and we are each programmed by a different faction, but without the different factions to teach us the specifics of how we are to believe we may be going to the extreme ends of what would normally be logically tempered philosophies. Just a feeling that sounds awesome to me when put into words.

I think the difference comes down to the focus and method more then the motivation behind. I see me as the kind that is going to try and take over the biggest baddest monster in town to scare off the populace and Algar sounds like he will go after a more infiltrate a whole society and hide us from the world approach.

I apologize. I figured as it was simple it would be clear. My foremost concern is for the safety and propagation of my people. All else is secondary. I will slaughter wholesale villages if it what is required but I do not plan on just going out and wiping out the world. I do it all without complaint at the start. I may take on new views depending on how things progress. I plan on allowing the incidents involved dictate if I begin to enjoy it or continue with the same detached manner.

As for flaws I believe headstrong, brash, and fearless all fall under that category for me. Quite honestly he believes he can get anything done with the right application of force and a decent host. Quirks he has not developed yet. I planned on picking them up based on host's maybe take on little personality quarks as I go from host to host to host. Goals are currently save my people but they may just as well become take over the world or diplomatically integrate my people in whichever seems the best way to protect the only thing I care about.

On an aside. All those bonus languages from high int, are they wasted or can I fill them in later through role play. Maybe practice with the languages I store in my bank and eventually transfer them to long term memory?

Modifications
Spatial Mapping Module, Stealth Class: By enhancing the Telekt's spatial sense and coordination, this module grants the Telekt a heightened ability to navigate its surroundings, specifically where stealth is involved. The Telekt gains a +2 bonus to the Stealth skill and is always considered trained in it.

Advanced Visual Cortex Conditioning: While the method behind this training isn't completely understood, even by the Telekt's, it nonetheless proves to be an effective way to bolster not the Telekt's abilities, but that of it host body. While using the body thief ability, the Telekt's current body gain darkvision out to 60 ft.

Adaptive Brainstem: By making the Telekt's brainstem both more malleable and compartmentalized the Telekt can use almost any creature as it's host, which allows the Body Thief ability to be used on any creature with a brain, not just humanoids and animals.

Cortical Arcanoshielding: By physically surrounding the brain's descision making centers with a strange thin magic-resistant substance only found on their home planet, the Telekt discover a way to bestow their own with an almost supernatural resistance to magic. The Telekt gains SR equal to 6+HD.

Trauma-Resistant Membrane: Instead of bestowing elemental resistances, this coating grants the Telekt physical resistance similar to that of the intellect devourer. The Telekt gains DR 5/magic and adamantine.

Rapid Language Assimilation Implant: While the Telekts had no desire to communicate with the savage monstrosities that inhabited their own planet, they knew that interstellar travel would demand more mastery over language that inhabiting another body could give them. This temporal implant provides its user with a language 'bank', capable of storing a number of languages equal to the user's Intelligence modifier. Whenever inhabiting a victim, the Telekt may store any number of the victim's known languages to the bank, instantly and permanently learning them. Languages may also be freely deleted from the bank to make room for new ones.
