THIS time I'm reporting. Under normal circumstances, the GM reports everything. A detailed rundown on reporting likely will change dramatically in 2e.
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
I do actually recommend that. There will be times when you use others, such as PbP conventions, or if you ever form a personal lodge with fellow players who share the same style there may be one there. I have a few: S's PbP PFS: These are my pick up games on paizo.com. It's my general use event. Iron Fellowship Lodge: This is a lodge of a group of roughly 50 friends IRL spread throughout North America. When we curate games, we use a shared event. Sfounder's AP: My AP games (F2F and PbP). I just like having these in place for organization's sake.

Wrapping Up a PbP Game:

That's it! I know I skipped some technical stuff (such as how to save a single page from a pdf.) I can do this breakdown if need be too. Ask me any questions you'd like. For this one, it's a bit weird. I'm going to report the game itself, but you guys will each make a chronicle for ONE other player. This is actually MORE complicated than it is for most games. Due to the timing, I'm just going to report this game with the following information: EVENT: S's PbP PFS. EVENT NUMBER 17,917. This will be the information you use on your own practice chronicles. We posted individual player in formation HERE. Since we're each filling out one:
I've made MindXing's already. It's available: HERE. Finally, I've transitioned back to being a real-life VL, but I've been on these boards a long time. I'd gladly sign up to play a game under any of you, and wish you the best of luck. If you ever need help, I'm more than happy to give it.

Ohm-Eran opts for a more vulgar approach and attacks Jiang Fei for a dagger, giving him a Bleeding Stare look 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8, but his technique is poor. On mobile, can't move on map.
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
Apologies. The weekend got away from me with midterms this week.
Ohm-Eran continues to push into Yue Xin's mind, this time with a simpler spell, but given Zadim's advantage, nonetheless deadly. Daze, Will DC 17
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
I didn't call it out by name, but it's part of the Mesmerist class: Hypnotic Stare. I dig the flavor of the spell. It's really mechanically similar to "hold person", but with some flavor.
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
The mesmerist, unsurprised by the turn of events eyes Yue Xin. His gaze is intense, and bores down into the soul Yue Xin takes a -2 on Will saves for a round. He then casts a spell of Mental Block on her. Will DC 18
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
While I'm trying not to drive the action, we should definitely make a solid push to try to wrap this up. The specials in play are going to be full steam ahead, and it's worth it to be able to focus. Let's do this!
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
Ohm-Eran sighs, then decides to step forth. "I apologize. Truly there was nothing of interest in them. We're a bit embarrassed by the fact, but what can we do?" Bluff: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
Ohm-Eran stays silent, but watches intently, trying to ferret out what motivates this apparition, be it good or evil. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
Here! I know the current trend is to ghost dot, dot then delete to keep the thread clean, but I actually dislike that. I prefer the visibility that it gives everyone for who has checked in and what's up.
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
Ohm-Eran, with the melee completed, nods to Jianf Fei. The mesmerist adjusts the various buckles and and cloth in his robes and heads off for her apartment.
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
Ohm-Eran, not accustomed to such puissance-at-arms tries to strike the man with a shuto
Ogre Scares Foe: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (12) + 0 = 12, but misses again!
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
"Nothing personal!" Ohm-Eran lashes out with a swift kick to the inner thigh Ogre Scares the Foe Ohm-Eran1d20 + 0 ⇒ (17) + 0 = 17 for DMG: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5 Will DC 11 or lose STR bonus for 1 round. The mesmerist then steps back.

"SEE! See your style fall and falter. You are the beach waiting for the tide to come in. There is nothing you can do!" Ohm-Eran, feeling empowered by the course of the battle drops into a low zenkutsu dachi stance and uses returning fist power on his tsuki to drive the opponent in the red bandana backwards Ogre Smashes Rock: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18 for DMG: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4 (FORT DC 11 or be pushed back)

Ohm-Eran, despite the crash course in training, is ill-equipped for a barroom brawl. He shrugs and replies very sternly, "You'd do well to stand down. The power of the Jade Ogre is umatched! The blow to your pride will be nothing compared to the blows to your body! Give in now and at least avoid the pain!" The mesmerist tries to demoralize the man: Intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
Ohm-Eran bides his time until a member of the Scorpion school gets up, be it a trip to the lavatory, or to chase down a server. When that happens, the mesmerist looks deeply into her eyes. Intense Stare, she takes a -2 on her will save versus... Charm Person Will DC 18 . Assuming it works (because if it doesn't...) In Tien, "My friend! It is good to see you. I can't help but share my joy that you have decided to leave the Scorpion school for the Jade Ogre Style. It is a wise decision, and I have the deepest respect for your courage and skill. To be honest, I think you have such chi that you could convince others to do the same. Indeed! I think it's a tremendously good and wise idea to go back and tell them all how you've seen the Truth, that The Jade Ogre Style is better than the Scorpion Style! Say it proud and loudly, for the truth rings like a clear bell!" Take 10 on Bluff for a 21

"Is he singing poorly on purpose to lure them over here?" Ohm-Eran watches them to see if they react. "If this doesn't work, I have another idea, though it'll require magic."
Tricks: 7/7, Level 1: 3/3, DM Reroll 5* 1/1 HP: 11/11, Init: +2, Perception: +4, Concentration +7 Fort: +0, Ref: +3, Will: +2 AC: 14, Touch: 12, FF: 12
"We never prefer to fight, but are prepared for self-defense when it comes. Let us choose the first two, food and friendship. Can you tell us about the Jade Ogre?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Nice job everyone. While I've transitioned back to my real life Lodge, I'm still here all the time. You're always welcomed to ask for help, requests, and whatnot. I've reported the table as we are missing only the denouement. That leaves the matter of Chronicles. If I recall, we worked out who is writing each one for whom.

Redelia wrote: Guys, I'm rather concerned about the pace here. I do need you to try to post every day (although a bit less over the weekend is fine). It's all good. I'm here and have this covered.

Ohm-Eran steps back, "Help would be appreciated." His tone is deadpan, though his step is taken with all alacrity. He stops just long enough to cast another Mental Block, this time on the other one.

"All are weak willed before me!" Ohm-Eran steps back 5' and stares intently at the yellow foe. -2 to will saves and then casts a spell of Mental Block. Will DC 18 to resist. Don't forget that in each of you is a mesmerist's trick. You get an illusory flanker to help you for one round. It's swift to activate.

Ohm-Eran takes a calm walk through the area, trying to pick up what he can about Imperial communications Diplomacy (Gather Information): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13, but he is uncharacteristically distracted.

Heads up everyone. I'll be AFK from Friday 1300ish until Tuesday 0700. I will do my best to check in once per day, but I'm expecting it to be a bit difficult (I'll be in Washington DC as pit crew for my fiancee as she runs a marathon.) |
