Ober listens intently to his companions, thinking of his own jab at Torch he took in the foul temple in Eto's sewers. "I'm wary of this. Up until this time, we have followed the letter of our agreement with Torch, if not exactly the spirit. However, lying to him about this could lead to the failure of our mission and my disdain for this traitor does not surpass my duty to the Society. For all we know, Madam Zelekhati was a test. An agent already working for Torch, to determine if we were dealing evenly with him. From what I know of this man, we have no reason to expect he didn't already have her in his employ. Still, I will yield to my companions wishes, I am no Paladin and while my Goddess frowns on dishonesty, sometimes in a battle, a feint is more useful than a thrust."

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 Ober raises his hand, trying to calm his companions. "You have information we need, Torch has information we need, and we can't complete our mission without either. Torch would be willing to die, just to spite the Pathfinders, I'm sure you're not that thick headed. Now let us come to some sort of mutually beneficial agreement, instead of resorting to threats of violence." Intimidate Aid Cressyk, Cause he's a boss :D: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 No aid.

Ober ties the peace bond on his weapon dutifully and takes a glass of spring water to drink. As the Elven Madame arrives, he rises and nods his head to her in a very aristocratic display. "Madam Zelekhati," The war priest begins. "Thank you for meeting us on such short notice. We're in the market for information and we've heard that you're one of two such brokers in the city who might have the knowledge we need." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

"No, but I believe she is lying about the Hundredfingers, and now that she's put a pinch of distance between us, we can start to follow her. A flushed quarry often heads to the safety of its warren." Anyone have Survival, so we can track her? Otherwise, I'll start using diplomacy to gather information about where she went. I can aid Survival to Aid: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 So a +2 to whoever does the tracking. I'd recommend everyone trying to aid.

@GM, I meant it more for my compatriots, but it seems that it made her happy too "You're generosity is too kind. Perhaps I will try it out tonight, during my bath, in the torchlight." Ober waits until the woman is out of earshot. "We're lucky, that could have gone poorly for us." Ober says in a hushed tone. "Are any of you versed in the magics necessary to detect poison, I think you will find this salve is quite deadly. The pendant she wore was the mark of the Red Mantis, for those of you who know, we just met perhaps one of the deadliest assassins in the area for 100 miles, if not more. For those of you who do not know, all I can say is that if you perchance cross an individual with a similar pendant in the future, it would be wise to be as diplomatic as possible."

Ober pauses for a moment. If I recall correctly, only one of these missions required us to not tip our hand as to who sent us, correct? If so, this is my action before I climb. If not, ignore everything but the climb. Ober takes a bit of the snakes blood and scrawls on the altar Torch sends his regards. He then walks up casts guidance and climbs the rope. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Diplomacy for Water: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 That should do it. "Looks like after finding water for one of our associates, we have to find no water for another." Ober says joking about the dry well. "Mssr. Lozar, a pleasure to meet you. Unfortunately, no, I'm not here to deliver the water supplies. I'm here on behalf of my elder brother, Liam L'Outre, a venture captain in the Pathfinder Society, but one currently without a Lodge. With the opening of Osirion to archeological digs and investigation, I thought perhaps you might be interested in hearing from my brother about founding a lodge near the Pillars of the Sun, to aid in your research. A mutually beneficial relationship for both you and the society. Do you have a moment?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

"My brother has spoken of this Torch," Ober remarks. "He says he's a cross between a snake and a spider, with none of the looks or charms of either." He tightens the gloves on his hands. "I was also under the impression that Torch was to be killed on sight after his last stunt. Why should we negotiate fairly with one who always plays with a stacked deck? There are spells and methods that could extract this information from him. I'm sure there's more than a few paladins willing to go through atonement for the opportunity to get their hands on him."

Ober L'Outre, younger brother of Venture Captain Liam L'Outre, and the Conjurer Payj L'outre. (Also Rogar and Kalvin of Dr. Evil's RotR and CotCT PBP games). I'm a Human Warpriest of Iomedae. I have the Blessings of War and Protection, decent Know Planes, Know Religion, Perception, Diplomacy and Sense Motive Skills. I can essentially Autoaid on any of these rolls (except knowledges which don't allow aids). Typically, I like to get up in the face of the bad guy, hit them two handed with my +1 Consecrated Longsword, while simultaneously using Fervor to quick cast Divine Favor. Until I get my buffs going (Blessings and Shield), my AC isn't very good, so while I'll front line, I typically don't charge. I'll activate a blessing (typically War), move. Next round I'll Fervor Favor or Shield depending on how hard the bad guy hits and attack. If we're at a significant range, I will take a moment to cast bless from my wand, and if you're dying, I will heal you. But I'm terrible at in combat healing. Ober's lawful good, but he's not Stupid or particularly nice. He's a bit arrogant, he believes firmly in the Divine Right of Kings to rule, and isn't afraid to act as a headsman toward an unrepentant evil.

"It is a mad house of evil, of which we should never return without an entire army of Paladins and Clerics. Thurl had a supply of Demon Larva! Which served as the demonic raw material for his vicious experiments. He was in league with the ghost of a Minotaur, a horrific demon who may be tearing through his laboratory as we speak. And then there are these," he says as he hands the documents to the Venture Captain. "I request personally to on the team that goes after him. No servant if Iomedae could let this monster continue to live.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Sorry, this just seems like a perfect opportunity for a back stab lol, but I'm guessing she's sincere Ober draws Gamin the Misforged. "Take a look at the blade of this weapon Valais," He says holding the blade up to her so the crack is noticeable. "This sword was cast off by it's maker. A failed experiment, a flawed creation. But a Pathfinder by the name of Kalkamedes took up this blade, and with it forged a new destiny for himself and for the sword. One of glory and honor. The blade was given a purpose and it served the society through that purpose, broken as it is. And when Kalkamedes grew old and set aside his life of adventuring, he passed this blade on to me, instilling with me the knowledge that this flawed blade still has a use and can still serve the Society. And so it has today, Gamin protected me here, inspired me, advised me in the paths I should take." Gamin casts Guidance on Ober, the War Priest gently kissed the blade as one would kiss an parent, before sheathing the blade. "Valais, you are like this blade. Broken, but not useless. Flawed, but not without purpose. The Society seeks secrets to unlock their hidden potential and you Valais are a great secret. I will stand with you before the Society and speak of your courage, your wisdom and your steadfast commitment to our cause. But I can only stand beside you, if you stand for yourself."
