This one was like having the 'Boss' fight before the last battle. That tentacle thing was more dangerous than the assassins.

But everyone survived, yay...

Nuethro picks up the crossbow he dropped and reloads it with another bolt before firing it at the ruffian in the distance.

Xbow vs Yellow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 7

With Seleena providing flanking assistance against the ruffian, Nuethro hopes to finally hit him by throwing a punch followed by a kick.

Punch +Flank vs Blue: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 2 = 23
Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

Kick +Flank vs Blue: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 2 = 24

Darn... finally two good attack rolls but lousy damage rolls

Disappointed with his weak attack, Nuethro throws an elbow followed by a kick to the groin area toward the goon that is standing next to him.

Elbow vs Blue: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

Knee vs Blue: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

With the man that he fired his bolt at coming to him, he drops his crossbow and then sends out two rapid punches at the man's face.

Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

Punch 2 vs Blue: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Nuethro takes aim at the enemy directly in front of him and fires the bolt at him. He then moves directly horizontal along the wall toward the other end of the room.

When the door is opened and hostilities are initiated, he dashes into the room and moves south to make room for the others.

Forgot to purchase a Wand of CLW with this character.

"Was that tentacle thing your guardian?"

Nuethro pulls out his crossbow and readies a bolt. "Right. I'm ready to go through the doors."

Looking down at the dead creature. He limps back to the side of the room, out of the water. Blood running down his vest along with some of the venom of the creature.

"If we run into another creature like that, I'm not sure even I will be able to remain standing."

Feeling the poison course through his veins, Nuethro still has enough strength to strike out at the tentacle creature. He throws to quick, but weakened punches.

Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

Punch 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Calculated the reduced strength in attack/damage.

Withdrawal action will avoid AoO but in the water you won't get far. Looking at your sheet that would be 60' for double move, allowing 3 squares. Moved your character.

Seeing so many tentacles shoot out from the strange creature, Nuethro realizes it could really bring one of them down quickly. With this threat in mind, he throws a strong punch at the creature followed by slamming an elbow down onto it.

Punch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Elbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Nuethro pushes through the water to get right up to the tentacle thing and then powers through the water to kick it.

Kick: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Okay. Moved my character back to where he could possibly get to. Still required a Double Move.

Nuethro dashes down the left path before leaping into the cistern, wading his way through the water to get next to the tentacle thing.

Double Move: 30' down the left bath, and then 15' (assuming Difficult Terrain) to get beside the creature.

Glad others have light sources to light the way, Nuethro lets Amerel scout ahead for traps but stays about 10' behind him so he can rush to his aid if need be.

"Some medicine are actually poisons, so too much can be deadly."

Nuethro steps forward and tries to give more detail about how the two died.

Heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

"Security is definitely something we can do."

"My companions are correct." He goes about the shop, checking to see if anyone else is here.

"We should probably head to Pemak's shop if he knows everything."

"Assassin. Used poison to take one out. Not sure about the other. We defeated one assassin but there might be others."

Nuethro quickly moves into the building, scanning around for dangers before stepping aside for the others to come in.

Debating internally with himself on if he should just kick the door down, but sees the others trying to play nice. He sighs, "We are here to protect you, so open the door."

Nuethro nods to Amerel, "Thanks for the healing."

Upon approaching the house, Nuethro lets the others investigate and then falls behind Seleena as she goes to knock on the door.

Wrapping his wounds from the creature, "Right. Lets go check on this Timinic fellow."

Seeing "Immy" change, he draws his mug of ale and rushes toward the new foe. Going around the table to get somewhat behind the thing. He then shoots out a quick kick.

Nuethro continues to sit at the bar, watching and sipping his ale. Though most of the ale remains.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Sipping his ale, he eyes the occupants of the room.

Nuethro stays out in the bar area, sipping his drink as he stands 'guard'.

"Well, lets see if we can sniff out the assassin or his target."

Nuethro heads for the bar, sitting down. Holding his hand up to get the woman's attention. "Ale."

"Hmmm... Seleena sounds right. Going to the Distillery first might be our best course of action."

Nuethro checks to see if there are any signs where the assassin went.

Looking at the list of names, "These might be a list of targets for the assassin."

Nuethro enters the building and glances around, "Looks like there is the real Brandur." Glances at the dead dwarf.

When the size change occurs, "So we know our assassin wasn't the dwarf."

Waits for Amerel to check for traps before heading in.

"Tracking is not really my forte but I'll see if I can pick up any signs of his passage."

Nuethro leaves the room momentarily to see if he can pick up any traces of Brandur.

Nuethro takes out the potion of delay poison and looks down at the Venture-Captain and sighs, "I don't suppose this would be still useful to him."

Nuethro sighs and lays the Venture-Captain's body down before he goes to search the desk himself.

Perception (Desk): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

While supporting the Venture-Captain, he looks up at the two at the desk. "Hurry up!"

Understanding he needs to take a potion that Seleena is getting, Nuethro rushes over and gets the Venture-Captain in a sitting position to better take the potion when retrieved.

Nuethro is over average height for a human and is lean but muscular. He wears no armor and has a crossbow strapped to his back, apparently the only noticeable weapon on him. He looks to be young, around 17 or 18 years old, has brown, short hair and hazel eyes.

Dropping his crossbow to the ground, Nuethro then does a kick to the Tiefling's groin before going in for a headbutt.
