Nemzo, quiet up to this point as he observes all of the interactions since Talbot's defeat, sizes up the drink that is placed in front of him. He rolls the liquid around the glass before downing it an a gulp. The android shivers a bit then motions for another round. "Well, I will say that thus far my experience with this organization has showed me an interesting side of biological life. Quite fascinating really. I can hardly wait to see what I find next."
Nemzo raises a fist "Watch it! Seems the place is rigged for company. Gear, I hate to risk your mechanical, but do you think he can scout the area? ZIRA and I are having trouble picking up triggering mechanism, though I am sure between the two of us we should be able to disable them IF we can find them. I assure you, I will gladly aid in any repairs should they be necessary."
"The odds were always in favor of this outcome, but I held out hope. Very well. ZIRA, targeting solutions please." A red targeting reticle flashes red in an iris of one of the android's cobalt blue eyes. Nemzo follows Naboh's shot and nods as his exocortex feeds him telemetry. "Yes, that will do nicely." Nemzo fires off a shot from his rifle at the shobhad. [ooc]Move action to activate ecocortex designating shobhad as target. Move action to fire Azimuth Laser Rifle (ALR) at same.[ooc]
Nemzo shifts on his feet a bit as the conversation becomes more tense. Being an android, he is not adept at picking up non verbal cues but even he can tell these negotiations are becoming difficult. The Professor allows himself a brief internal monologue. If only there was a machine to interface with. This would be much simpler, and much more efficient.
A lean copper blue colored android enters the room. His focus is intently on a datapad that he often makes notes with a stylus as he nods. Professor Nemzo looks up as he realizes he and his on board companion are not alone. "Oh, hello all! Sorry for my tardiness but I was engrossed in this fascinating article on the dawn of machine intelligence. I understand we have an errand to run, yes?"
I am totally down with doing some GM trade offs but I am very new to the system at this point. I would love to throw down a couple of more games then take the GM helm. Most confusing to me thus far is starship combat, not grasping that yet. As far as mechanics of GMing, I echo Wolfspirit's comments. For PFS, I use Google Drawings for maps and tokens. Works really well.
Nemzo, though not terribly personal, attempts to gather information regarding the children they have uncovered. "It is rather unusual for your two to be here without your parents. As my vesk friend has asked, where are they? Also, another line of inquiry suggested: are either of you responsible for the systems failing in this area?"
Nemzo smirks at Gil's mirth and follows the Vesk and Sarcesian aboard. "Keep your sensors alert for hostiles ZIRA. I can at least attest, our time in the field with this outfit is certainly more exciting than the lecture hall. I am certian we are walking into certain danger but my curiosity seems to be overriding what should be rank terror. Interesting..."
Burning: You are on fire. As long as you have this condition, at the start of your turn each round before you take any actions (or attempt the Reflex saving throw described below), you take the listed amount of damage as fire damage (or 1d6 fire damage, if no amount is listed in the effect that causes burning). Fire damage from multiple sources that inflict the burning condition is cumulative. At the end of each round you are burning, you can attempt a Reflex saving throw to remove this condition. The DC of this saving throw is equal to 10 + the amount of fire damage you took this round from the burning condition. If you succeed at this saving throw, you lose the burning condition. You can attempt a new saving throw each round you have this condition, and you receive a +2 bonus for each previous saving throw you’ve attempted in consecutive rounds. You can also automatically end this condition by jumping into enough water to douse yourself. If you don’t have enough water on hand, you can spend a full action to roll on the ground or otherwise smother the fire to attempt a new saving throw with a +4 bonus (plus any bonuses from previously failed consecutive attempts) to end the condition.
Nemzo follows his fellow androids lead and saunters up to stand behind AB-X1. He looks at the gangers, his circuitry flaring cobalt blue, he says quietly "ZIRA, paint me a picture dear.", then the right eye of the bronze skinned android flares bright blue and the hint of a targeting crosshair flashes on the iris for an instant.
Nemzo nods in approval at Rigs and Gerald's work. "Well done. Your code is acceptable and effective." Nemzo begins to enter figures into the computer in an attempt to lay the groundwork for a cover identity. "I am attempting to create a framework for our hacker's new life. I will admit, this is not my expertise. I learn from data, I normally do not create it, especially fictions. Any help in this area will be greatly appreciated." "This would have been easier with the grenade..."
Nemzo quirks a brow and looks to the others. He speaks to Hudathan "The deal seems favorable to us. I suggest we take it. I have a few ideas on how to falsify our host's demise..." Nemzo head jerks form side to side as his mechanical eyes sweep the small room. "Analyze ZIRA." His movements cease suddenly, and he turns his gaze to Ceren. "I assume you are willing to make whatever sacrifice necessary to complete the charade?"
Nemzo looks around and approaches the group as they discuss things with the tomato grower. "We do not want your credits. If we are in error, please accept our apology, but my friends are correct when they say you are in danger. It seems someone has set you up and has planted some sensitive data in your systems. Allow me to retrieve them, and keep you from further trouble." Nemzo looks at the man as a surge of blue energy pulses through his circuitry.
Nemzo's circuitry flux a shiny blue when he finally lays eyes on Historia-7. He bows respectfully and addresses the android purveyor. "Historia-7, I am Nm-0. I have a great way to meet you and I am pleased. I look forward to future cooperations. We shall retrieve this information efficiently and with utmost discretion. Before we make way, I ask for any additional data that could effect the mission parameters. Inquiry includes: opposing force expected and any obstacles agents may encounter en route to data retrieval."
Nemzo takes the offered grenades from Hurduthan. He smiles and nods to the hulking Vesk, taking one to examine. "Fascinating. I did not expect to handle ordinance so early in my tenure here, but if that feathery monstrosity is a sample of what our day holds, I certainly can put this to good use. I will do my best to have ZIRA calculate you out of the blast radius Huduthan." Nemzo suffers the line but yelps audibly as a large Half-Orc from the crowd crushes his foot and ankle. "Ah! The nerve! Here I thought Absalom Station would be civilized. Not when it comes to popular culture apaprently." Nemzo obtains a copy of the album. Holding it up to potentially download into his rig, This will serve as a momento if nothing else and stars n=knows, there may be some talent here. Discovery requires exploration.
Running at a light trot, a slender tall android with coppery bronze blue skin and matching hair runs up the the group. His skin is tracked with mildly glowing neon blue circuitry. He quielty steps in line as the group lines up for tagging. "Dear, my apologies fellows. I had a student that would not allow me to break our discourse on the nature of artificial intelligence. My name is Nm-0, but those who know me call me Nemzo, well professor Nemzo to be fair. I look forward to uncovering the mysteries of the universe with you all!" He grins in that sheepish android inhuman way and complies with Guidance's instructions. Nemzo casually accepts the Starfinder hand implant. Nemzo listens patiently as Guidance continues to give mission information. He smiles and nods when Guidance asks for questions. "Ah yes, but one question Guidance, when do we get started?"
