Quote: Lastly, where do folks muster for and play these pre-Con games? Are the Cascade rooms upstairs available? Do we have to use someone's hotel room? Do we go to Denny's across the street with breakfast sausages standing is as minis? Outside the restaurant/bar area is a good muster point, just past the coffee stand. Evergreen/Cascade rooms are the best places to play we even managed to get food delivered to them last year :-)
I believe last year there was early pick up on the Thursday evening if you were GMing in the Friday am slot. Typically join the queue at 6.30am-ish, you'll be in it for no more than about 45mins. It moves fast, you get a great goody bag at the end, typically worth more than the badge cover charge....plus you get to chat and meet fellow gamers in the queue. Dont forget your id though. All in all, its an event in itself :-)
Introducing: Ash Neutral Halfling of no fixed abode: Pretty much a rogue by any other means, but he's a sneaky so and so. Perception and Disable Device are respectable , can disable magical traps. Hellcat Stealth... Bonkers high stealth, so good that most people dont see him when he's being observed and moving around in daylight :) Has a great affinity for the shadows. Seeker Oracle (7) of Shadow, touched by prophecy that he's powerless to do anything with.
:-)

Food wise to help... Mom and Pop Diner is just across the road on the corner of the main intersection and is pretty decent. You then have a Denny's and Subway right across from the hotel along with some Hawaiian BBQ and Thai place that I personally have never tried but others seemed to enjoy what they got from them.

I'd be interested in playing #4-06 The Green Market, #4-13 Fortress of the Nail, #4-16 The Fabric of Reality or #4-20 Words of the Ancients on Thursday afternoon if those are the sort of non-season 8's you'd be interested in running Rob?
Wasn't expecting an 8am game :) a 1pm game is all good. I was more alluding to a module which possibly does need an earlier start. I wont have much either but I can scrounge a fair bit, transatlantic flights and all that and their stupid weight limitations. I at least have every book as a PDF :) Really appreciate you offering to run 8-10 though :)
I get into Seattle on the 14th for work :) But I'll be at the Doubletree from the Wednesday, so I'll be up for a PFS game if theres space. I'd be potentially interested in the Doom comes to Dustpawn, but ideally would prefer just a nice easy game in the afternoon. I do need to try and get Tyranny of the Winds part 2 and 3 played, and was not going to take up slots of those tables during the con to allow others to play the complete set. So if someone kindly wants to run part 2... I'd be up for playing and very grateful....will supply GM with beverages :)
Back again for my 5th year...as always great to see so many familiar faces, this is almost becoming like a local con for me (aside from the small matter of the 10hr flight :) ) Some great games so far with new and old friends. Manged to deliver all my UK goodies to Tonya (Thanks Bob for pointing out that I should avoid saying I have 10Kilo's of goods....but hey its Tonya's sugar fix). Delivered some proper Cadbury Chocolate to Painlord who surprised me with a return gift of some lovely and delicious home made cookies and a very rare Kublacon coin which is most kind and totally unexpected, very humbled by that...you make great friends at Paizocon! Actually attended one of my first seminar's on Friday about How to create inclusive game spaces, a very inciteful and informative talk, great use of time, and some great discussions. More later... off to enjoy more of the fun.
A couple of clarifications that I'd like to see are: The first is: Under Heroes of the Wild in the additional resources it states this: Traits: all traits on pages 3-7 are legal for play, except fey thoughts. However if you take Fey Magic (allowed) as a human you also get Fey Thoughts (Not allowed)....you also get low light. Now as a human taking fey magic, do I now not get fey thoughts but get low light, or neither? Second, is with Bolt Ace and their ability that allows them to start with any MW Crossbow that can not be of a special material and is only worth 22gp (as per the AR). I've had players ask...is that limited to light/heavy crossbows.. or by any does it mean Hvy Repeating, or Minotaur etc. Just a clarification on that would be nice to stop the debates. Thanks
To be fair I'm going to run it the same as Walter. I understand the issues, but I think we need to throw in some common sense as well as the whole reason we're playing... to have fun. Imaginative, fun, role-playing including a less black and white use of any skills/feats which doesn't belittle anyone's contribution can surely only make a game more fun and memorable for all at the table after all. but then that might just be me :)
